God is a God of Gusto!  God is fiercely compassionate and focused on love because it is who God is. It is also who you are because you are an extension of God.  We can experience being a part of the vine of God as Jesus mentioned, when we are willing to let go of the idea that we need to grow our own roots. We think to stand out and be special we must be separate.  That is what our ego mind tells us.  Being special simply means living from our heart.  We are already a unique expression of All That Is. Getting to know ourselves and being at peace with all of us is the key to living with zest.  How can we be excited and passionate about something that is not of us?  We all know the difference between when we are being authentic and genuine versus when we are doing things  because we “should” be doing them or because we are going to get something.  Sometimes I have to acknowledge that my decisions are based on a reaction to someone or something and not my genuine loving nature.  But I would not even be in a place where I could know that I do have an authentic loving nature within me, unless I had allowed God in to remind me.  These dates are part of that remembering time.  It is as though the time is set aside specifically so that God can reveal to me the fierce love and fire that God has within my own heart.  My prayer for us today is that we be willing to concede that the zest of God lives in our own hearts and if we get quiet enough we can hear the sizzle.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen
