The One Who Is All exerts a profound strength and power over all that is created. The Grand Designer has given each of us this same ability through the choices that we are given to make. Everything we are and do is a decision. All our thoughts, all our feelings, all our ways of being, are choices. When we remember that we are not victims of circumstance, we remember that we have decision to make. We may not like the current choices we are faced with, but even whether or not we like them is a choice. It was Victor Frankl who very poignantly said, “The last of human freedoms -the ability to choose one’s attitude in a given set of circumstances.” If a man who survived Auschwitz can adapt that philosophy then I have no reason not to. When we approach life as the beautiful gift of choice, we find ourselves victorious in living even if we make the “wrong” decisions. God does not stand around and judge us for our choices. God celebrates when we decide to take the next breath and keep going. God marvels at what we can create when we own the reality of the love that we are. We stand in judgment of ourselves and others. We look for right versus wrong. We fear death. God is not a concept of man. God is beyond a concept of man’s thinking but the heart of God is placed firmly within our reach. We decide in this moment whether or not to reach for the hand of God. We can choose to ask for help when we get stuck in our programming and ask to remember that we are more than just here to survive. My prayer for us today is when we see ourselves as victims of our circumstances we be willing to reach for and recognize our decision to reach for God’s hand. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen
