God is elusive! We seem to grasp the idea that we cannot hold all things at all times, in our minds, in our hands, nor in our perspective.  We are not meant to be present to more than one moment at a time.  The irony is that when we are fully present we are simultaneously aware of life at multiple levels.  There is a heightened sense of being when we let go of our agenda of how things should be.  When we let go of what has previously occurred and what we are concerned about for the future, we have a greater capacity to fully take in the now.  We exchange a preset idea for a possibility.  We exchange a control disposition for a trusting one.  Who we are being in this moment is an exchange of priorities.  Opting for the priorities of spirit versus priorities of the world.  And while at the beginning it seems like we will miss out, it actually ends up being the very experience by which we can wholly appreciate all life has to offer.

My prayer for us is the willingness to exchange our thinking for God’s and fully experience the now moment we are in.
