God is functional! The beauty of the Great I AM is God’s presence in everything and everyone.  God is extremely practical. God’s presence at all times means whatever is happening it can be used for the function of love. No matter what is happening, I can learn about love by being fully present in the moment.  My mind scoffs at this idea on several levels.  One argument it makes is for the impossibility of love truly being available in every situation and every being.  Another argument of my mind is that God would even bother to be present in certain places especially the darker ones. Lastly, my mind is certain that it knows all the potential outcomes and the surprising nature of God is just beyond its perception. Thankfully God does not operate the way my mind does. I do not have to operate within the limitations of my mind either.  My function can be the one God has for me.  When I choose God’s idea of function for me, I grow in love from situations and circumstances where I thought for certain love did not exist.  It is though it is God’s function to remind me there is no place where God who is love cannot and will not be

My prayer for us is the willingness to surrender our ideas of our purpose in this world as defined by our minds and open up to the functioning that God has for us.
