Sharing my experiences and understandings of the Great I AM.

Be Within Vitals!

on May 9, 2019
Sometimes we find ourselves facing situations that we thought we planned for but are not at all what we planned.  Actually, I think most of life is that way.  The trick is to pay close attention to what plans are vital and which ones are nonessential.  We get very used to how we do things and what we expect from people and situations to such a degree that we do not realize many things we consider vital are actually optional or even unnecessary.  Finding a balance between the vitals of our heart and the vitals of our mind are a step in separating out the vitals from the nonessentials.  So much of what we think we want is not because we want the actual thing or situation.  What we want are what we will feel as a result of having the thing or experience.  If can learn to identify what it would feel like for our plans to go as expected we can notice what vitals we really need.  Having time on my daily dates with God to slow down enables me to notice what I am thinking and feeling.  Awareness of the vitals we need for the survival of our heart and mind makes room for us to relax into situations where things are not going to according to plan or what we expected.

My prayer for us is the curiosity to learn the vitals of our heart and mind by looking behind the actual things or experiences we say we need today.
