We know our minds create distinctions. It is helpful for us to categorize things to make sense of them. If we had no way of filtering information and learning we would go nuts from the sheer amount we are exposed to. We are aware of the more vivid experiences because they are often at the forefront of our minds. We can draw from the striking elements of our lives precisely because they struck something inside of us. This is where the role of the heart can be overlooked. The reason our minds and even our bodies take something in as a vivid experience or moment is because of our heart’s connection to its energy. We are moved by the intensity of emotion. We feel the strength and power of a person’s actions because it exists within our own hearts. Feelings which are the language of the heart both physical and energetic create the vividness we are experiencing. It is only through the vivid nature of something that causes it to surpass simply a fleeting thought or idea. The vividness is what happens when something goes from an idea to a lived experience. The vividness is what we use to describe the experience to someone else. The vividness gives us the wherewithal to explain the meaning and what made it so vivid for us. As much as sometimes we think we would want to not have feelings connected to what we are thinking or doing, if we are honest we realize life would lose its liveliness. It is the very vivid nature of our reality which makes it more than just a story in a book. We can appreciate the vividness of even difficult circumstances when we take away the judgment and just allow them to be circumstances fully felt.
