Sharing my experiences and understandings of the Great I AM.

Be From Accord!

The harmonious nature of God is echoed in all of existence.  We know it when we hear beautiful music, resonate with beats that moves us forward, and find the courage to love.  There is a peace in God’s accordance that calls us out of our limited view and see things from a different perspective.  We do not know how much we impact each other with our words or lack of words.  We think we go unnoticed to each other. Maybe there is no conscious notice by our eyes but our minds and hearts are picking up all kinds of energies from each other.  Our heart’s resonate several feet outside our physical boundaries and we all know the feeling when we walked into a room that did not feel right but nothing obvious made it seem wrong.  If we make an effort to be in accord with the truth of who we are by our words, actions, and most importantly our way of being, we can be peacemakers.  We can be the beacons and messengers of love God designed us to be.  When we find ourselves not able to be in accordance with God we can reach out and ask for help.  God, I am out of alignment with the truth of who I am in this moment, show me what it would mean to be in accordance with you right now.
My prayer for us is the willingness to recognize when we are in accord with God and the most truthful expression of ourselves today.

Be From Using!

God use me.  It is a simple prayer conveying my trust in God’s knowing and my willingness to be the messenger of love.  I walk through my life thinking I know what needs to be done or how to show up or make it up as I go along.  Setting the intention to be in the world what God has designed me to be is much more powerful.  God using me to speak, look, taste, feel, hear and connect allows me to feel a sense of accomplishment that far surpasses any checklist I have.  As part of our date time I will let God know what I have planned for the day and turn it over and ask to be used.  I am less concerned when I get stuck in a line somewhere or have to take a different route, because I trust it is what God had in mind.  I do not do this perfectly and many days I forget. When I remember to ask God to use me there is a sense of fulfillment and levity.  I am not so wedded to my thinking about how I or others should do things.  It creates a more open and accepting environment where love can flourish for me and those around me.
My prayer for us is the curiosity to see what it would be like by offering ourselves to be used today by God.

Be From Impartiality!

God invites us to see our lives through the vision of our hearts. Deep within us is the space of impartiality. It accepts all that is without judgment.  It exists in a space of fundamental trust in the power of God’s love.  It rests in the undying belief that whatever happens God can guide us into seeing how the power of love will restore it.  There is no area of our lives in which this principle does not apply.  The power of impartiality leaves room for God to show up in everything and in every experience.  If I judge a situation with the bias of my past experience which is all I know, then I have contained it outside the parameters of restoration.  Instead I can reach for the hand of God and ask for the courage to be impartial in my assessment.  Then I am capable of making room for God’s view of what is possible in the eyes of love.  I can choose to take on the impartiality at any moment in my experience.
My prayer for us is the willingness to adopt an impartial view of our experience long enough to allow God to step in and guide our hearts with the view of love today.

Be From Brightness!

God makes the light of love obvious.  It is not hard to find.  Often we are looking in the wrong direction or our vision is clouded over by our experience of darkness.  Darkness however, only exists in the absence of light. It is not in and of itself anything.  There are no qualities of darkness other than it being a space or an experience lacking light.  The moment we invite God into the darkness we are experiencing, it brightens up.  If we have been living and mulling around in the darkness, we may not like what we see with the brightness at first.  But at least we will begin to see the truth of what we are dealing with instead of fooling ourselves that we were being very successful in the darkness.  My lack of brightness only works when I hold the idea that God would not want to venture into my darkness.  I think I have to go it alone and so I don’t bother to engage God or consider God’s interest in me and all parts of my life.  The real irony of course, is when I do summon up the willingness to crack open the door of my darkness and let the brightness in, God is usually already there.  God smiles and says, good you are here, now I can show you the gifts underneath the things you have been hiding out of fear and shame.
My prayer for us is the courage to embrace the brightness and invite God into the moments and experiences of darkness and see what is possible today.

Be From Guarantees!

For all the times we think we are sure of a painful experience or negative outcome, God has the guarantee of love.  We think we know how it will all work out and what others will think or do because why would this time be any different from the last?  God stands ready to guarantee a different experience, if we are willing to invite him into the process..  She is full of perspectives on the situation of which we cannot conceive.  God wants us to know in our hearts the guarantees of the presence of love, but we must be willing.  I know I am guilty of holding on to my fixed ideas because it simply has not occurred to me to be any different. I can continue to choose the experience I think I know or I can be open to the many guarantees God has of a difference.  God how do you see thins? What guarantees of love can show up in this space?  God, help me to believe your guarantees of love’s presence in everything, no matter the form.
My prayer for us is the willingness to reach for God and ask to see the guarantees of love in the situations we never imagine could be different from we know today.

Be From Quietness!

There is a space between silence and noise.  It creates a sense of grounding in the experience of here and now. It welcomes in the knowing that comes from noticing what is present. The quietness invites us to pause before stepping in the next whatever and truly be with what is.  Observation without judgment, quietness offers a rest from the chattering commentary come at us from all sides.  It is the place where we can become attuned to the chatter inside our own minds.  Before getting to a place of silence, quietness plays with a heightened sense of awareness standing in an experience of gentleness and flow.  God invites us into times and spaces of quietness so we can anchor our awareness of who and where we are as distinguished from the people and things outside of us.  In quietness God can gently and playfully tap on our hearts and remind us of the love we are in God’s eyes.
My prayer for us is the curiosity to embrace the moments of quietness offered as a portal to witnessing God’s gentle love of us today.

Be From Seeing!

When our hearts are open we see with the clarity with which we were meant to see.  It is hard to wrap our heads around the idea that what we see with our physical eyes is not all there is.  To realize that what we see with our physical eyes is not the truth of what is present is even harder.  The more dates I go on with God, the more attuned I become in how God sees things very differently that I do.  God created a vast and unlimited experience of love.  I get glimpses of it here and there but get stopped by not being able to rationalize it.  Then there are those moments when I surrender out of a desire to see and find myself living in a light I didn’t even know was possible.  We live in a physical universe on which our minds come up against limits.  In order to step into a limitless experience of living, we have to take a leap from our head to our heart.  God can be our guide on the path if we let him.  She is ready with each breath to guide our hands to our heart and show us how to take in the fullness of live and love when we decide we are open to seeing it.
My prayer for us is the courage to reach for God when we decide we are interested in seeing with our hearts today.

Be From Replacement!

The perspective of our world offered by God is meant as an alternative to the one we often find ourselves drenched. God offers it to replace the one we have experienced as wounding our hearts. A miracle can be as simple as a change in our thinking. The spiritual process of letting go is so we can make room for an enlightened perspective. This replaced perspective allows us to see the miracles in our lives which are always present. The replacement of our old and darkened thinking comes as an invitation. God will not impose her will on us. God will not make us take on his perspective. It is enlightened thinking because it allows us to see the light of love without being blocked. It is enlightened because it just comes if we allow it. The very nature of God’s way of being is to allow for the flourishing of joy and love. I am a testament to how long one can hold on to old and darkened thinking because it is familiar. The moment I decided I had enough of my own thinking and allowed God to replace mine with hers, life got easier.    I recognize that must have needed to get to a place of great pain before I was willing to consider the replacement.  I am at peace with that because I see it from God’s perspective, not just mine.  The situations in our lives that break us down and open provide a unique opportunity to allow the enlightened view to enter in without effort. But we do not have to get to a place of pain if we want to invite it in before then. When we welcome the replacement we will find that we are lighter, our hearts are stronger, and within us is a sacred space that thrives in the light.

My prayer for us is the courage to consider God’s thinking as a replacement of our own and be with the light of love today.

Be From Equality!

God does not look at his creation and see levels or degrees of worthiness.  All of her creations are equal in their capacity to be the presence of love for which they were created. When we judge each other as less than we lose sight of the purpose of our being what we were created to be.  I cannot assume that I know how you were designed as a magnification of the power of God.  We are all  in different places in our lives and presented with different circumstances.  It may not make sense to me how you are living your life but I am not your God. It is not for me to presume how you are doing so is any less important than how I am attempting to do the same in my life.  We cannot be aware of the infinite possibilities God can create from each of us showing up as ourselves in the world.  We can encourage each other as equal partners in the design of love. Living from a s[ace of equality increases the power and influence of love in the world one day at a time.
My prayer for us is the courage to presume that other people have an equal role to play in the magnification of love in the world today.

Be From Treasure!

As a kid I had a lot of fear and anxiety about the dentist and disliked having to go for my regular appointment and cavity filings but I was a compliant child.  One part of the visit did intrigue me.  At the end of the visit we got to get something from the treasure chest.  There was a big brown old-looking box kept with the receptionist that creaked when you opened it.  Inside were little trinkets and toys to choose from. The most exciting part of the experience was opening the chest wondering what you might find and claim as your own.  God invites us to the same experience with our hearts. God knows the truth of who we are lies in a treasure deep within us not tainted by circumstances or our thinking.  Sometimes on our daily date, I can sense the excitement with which God greets me as I sit down for our time together.  I think God is full of anticipation at the possibility of discovery when we begin to explore the buried treasure deep within us. God created us so we might experience the wonder of life.  God keeps protected in us this space full of treasures ready for our discovery when we have the courage to explore our hearts.
My prayer for us is the willingness to dive into our hearts with wonder taking a chance that beneath the debris is the treasure of love God created in us today.
