Sharing my experiences and understandings of the Great I AM.

Be Of Awareness!

An awareness of the presence of God is all that is needed.  We do not need to understand God or even believe in God for God’s presence to be made real in our lives.  The simplicity of awareness creates an opening for the presence of All That Is to enter into the spaces of our heart that already have an awareness of God.  Then we find ourselves remembering what we have known all along.  The re-awakening  of our hearts in the recognition of God is like the re-lighting of a candle that has been blown out by the wind.  The candle lights from its present state.  It does not need to return to its original form and start over again.  The purpose of a candle is to be lit and enlighten everything around it.  Our hearts light up with the awareness of God because they can now reflect the truth of that which created it.  When I remember that I am lit up in my heart by remembering the presence of God within me, my awareness of God’s presence in every area of my life begins to enfold.
My prayer for us is the courage to be awakened in the awareness of God’s presence lighting up our hearts and allowing us to see all of our lives with awareness today.
If the light of God is always within you, what could the power of this light make you aware of where all you see is darkness today? Share in the comments.

Be Of Profundity!

God’s depth goes beyond our understanding.  We are invited into relationship with Our Creator who sees us as a profound expression of love.  We are the ultimate fruition of a desire to share the love that is with all that is. We do not need to strive to prove ourselves in any way, shape, or form.  We are asked to show up and be the truest expression of ourselves.  I know I have had moments when I witnessed another human being act with such profound love that I wondered from where it came.  It came from the source of all love.  It came from a place inside of them that was beyond shape and form.  It happened when they connected with the deepest part of their hearts and allowed themselves to be used as a vehicle of love.  I have also experienced this within me when I embraced the grace of forgiveness of my father.  After many years of continually asking God to see as God sees and acting from a place of love, I finally wanted with a profundity I had never known before to be at peace with myself and with him.
My prayer for us today is the willingness to believe that the profound essence of love exists within each one of us and is capable of amazing things today.
If you are equipped with a profound capability to love beyond what you can imagine, how would you like God to reveal to you today the truth of your nature?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Coherence!

God is whole as are God’s creations.  The notion that we are parts is erroneous.  We have difference elements that make up our wholeness but everything we do affects the others.  Being coherent means acknowledging that all the parts of ourselves work together to create an impact.  What we are thinking and feeling affects our physical way of being and vice versa.  Our spiritual awareness affects our mind and our body.  God created us with a coherence that allows for all these elements to work in cooperation with one another.  It becomes a model of how we can work in cooperation with the whole world around us.
My prayer for us today is the courage to notice the coherence that exists within us and outside of us.
If you believe that God provides the coherence to be in cooperation with yourself, what would that look like for you today? Share in the comments.

Be of Meditation!

God calls upon us with each breath to a meditation of our full existence.  When we breathe, we say yet to life and invite in the possibilities for what can occur in that time until the next breath.  Sounds like a lot for what is only seconds in duration.  Life is lived in moments and seconds.  We do not have years or decades, it only appears that way.  This moment is all there is.  Our breath is an invitation to be present to the moment we are in.  Our breaths become a meditation on the preciousness of life.
My prayer for us today is the courage to notice one of our calls to be mindful of the gift of our lives through our breath today.
If you could choose how many times today to be aware of God’s gift of life to you, how many breaths would you choose?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Vibration!

God is always with us on this journey, even when we do not feel God. Faith means living in the unknown. Our hearts have the capacity of living in the unknown.  If we are open to letting go of surviving in our mind long enough to allow our heart to speak.  We can experience the poetry and rhythm of trust in God in the living vibration of our heart.  God invites us as we grow and mature into a relationship from the heart.  I was never particularly fond of poetry because I felt as though I had to think to hard to understand it.  But I have always loved music.  Music is the rhythm of the poetry that my heart beats to. I have learned that is about connecting to the vibration of the experience of being alive.  That  Perhaps it is about connecting to the rhythm of love either through the words or their vibration, whichever allows us to be more present in the space of our hearts.
My prayer for us is the courage to step outside of heads and enter into the space of faith by being with the vibration of love today.
If the rhythm of love is already beating in your heart, is it the vibration of the music or poetry of your life that draws you more into faith today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Altering!

God has altered thinking. Being in relationship with God means that we are continually offered an alternative to our limited view of life.  There is a reason why so many significant religious and spiritual rituals take place over a table often referred to as an altar.  A table is where a meal is enjoyed.  A meal is composed of elements that were wholly offered up and have been altered through the process of mixing, heating, and or seasoning.  We do the same with our lives.  We present to God ourselves at the altar of our life.  God invites us to see it differently.  God invites us to enjoy the mixture of our experiences.  God invites us to be warmed by the heated elements of our lives that created us anew.  God invites us to savor the experiences that have seasoned us.  God can make a feast of love out of whatever we offer up.  God shows us that what is placed on the altar can be altered if we are open to seeing as God sees.
My prayer for us is the courage to accept God’s invitation to the table of our lives and savor the altered perspective of who we have become.
If God can alter your thinking to view the experiences of your life that you have seasoned as something to savor instead of throw away, what would you present to God to be altered today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Expression!

God lights all the world through the power of love.  Our existence is an expression of the love of God. We do not have to do anything to make this happen.  If ever there is a question in our minds of our worthiness we must realize we are asking the wrong question.  We are worthy of being an expression of love because we were created.  The question is whether or not we are embracing our role as an expression of God.  Am I being the channel of God’s love for myself and others?   Have I let go of my agenda for the situation I am walking into right now and agreed to allow God to work through me?  In the spiritual path of the 12 steps there is a description of how to start one’s day that includes setting out our plans for the day in the morning and asking God to show us where we might be useful.  It is not about not having plans or ideas of how we want things to go but not being attached to them.  There is a trust that as an expression of God, God is with us every moment, every step of the day.  Whatever we encounter, even when it doesn’t go our way, we can trust in our ultimate purpose being fulfilled.
My prayer for us is the courage to walk in the knowledge of ourselves as an expression of love in every situation and interaction today.
If being an expression of love means that no matter what happens today you can be successful, how would you like God to show you what it means to be that expression in your own heart?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Learning!

In living the life that God has designed for us we are called upon to stretch outside of what we think we know.  We cannot live a life of God’s design by simply our own being.  Understanding the reality of our grounding in God means that we can embrace the experience of putting ourselves out there in life.  Life is meant to be lived.  We are encouraged to take risks in love so that we may become even more aware of the presence of love in and through us.  If we sit around and wait to be handed evidence we will not find it.  It is found in the living of it.  This means different things for different people as we do not have all of the same experiences.  What we do have is the same process of ;earning in love.  It may seem daunting at first, especially if we have been hurt (which we all have) but God gives us the courage to give love a chance one more time just for today.
My prayer for us is the courage to step into our lives with God’s vision of our growth in love no matter what we experience today so that we can know ourselves and God more intimately.
If God is with you and through you at every moment and can turn whatever happens in your life into a love-learning process, what do you have to fear today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Trust!

God looks upon his creation with love beyond our understanding.  We are encouraged to trust our Creator in remembering the power and the strength from which we were created.  When we find ourselves feeling weak and unworthy it is because we have forgotten who we are.  God is ready and willing to remind us.  The question is whether or not we are wedded to the idea of who we are that we created or if we are open to remembering God’s truth of who we are.  The beauty of God is in the process of being willing to let go of a story of who we are. The process allows for the very experience of remembrance. It does not matter how long we have lived in the untruth of who we are, if we are willing to trust that God’ story is the true one and embrace it, it can become our reality.  As my dates continue with God, I am gently shown where my stories are still at play. God then asks if I am willing and ready to trust in God’s truth of who I am or continue with the fairy tale.  Each time I let go of the tall tale and embrace the truth I have found it to be a place of great love and abundance and more wonderful than any fairy tale could ever be.
My prayer for us is the courage to recognize our fairy tales and ask God for the strength to trust in God’s version of who we are today.
If God’s understanding of who you are at your core is better than any fairy tale that you have created, what do you need from God to be willing to trust in the story of your truth today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Power!

God awakens within you.  Each moment we take a breath, the inspiring elements of life itself begin their cycle again.  How powerful an opportunity we are given in life when we think about how many times we can take a new breath.  This simple act of renewing life inside of us allows us to spread fresh energy through our heart which spreads it to the rest of our bodies.  It wakes us up, opens our eyes, and engages our spirit.  We are the messenger of the love of God every time we take in a new breath. Without saying anything the fact that we are alive means that God lives too.    God lives in and through us. Then if we take that breath of life and use it to fuel a life of love we become exponentially more powerful.
My prayer for us is the time to reflect upon the magnitude of the gift of our breath as evidence of the power that resides in and through us this day.
If taking in your next breath was evidence to you of the power of God present in your whole being, what would you choose to do with that evidence today?  Share in the comments.
