Sharing my experiences and understandings of the Great I AM.

Be Of Gleaming!

God is the bright shining light within us.  The love that we are penetrates our very soul and emanates from our hearts. We are the gleaming presence of love in the world.  It gets clouded over by our thinking that tells us this is not possible.  We think that if we do not feel like a loving presence or a gleam of light that it must not be who we are.  If we remember that it is not our thoughts about our feelings but acceptance of our feelings that is important we can head in the right direction.  We cannot accept the gleam of light if we do not believe that it exists.  We start with the recognition that our eyes are a little clouded over and we are not perceiving correctly.  Then we ask God for the courage and the power to be open to the gleams of light present, no matter how small they are.  The power of light is such that when we focus on it in the smallest presence it grows larger and larger.  These gleams of light are our ticket to reconnect the great light of love that is within us and all around us.
My prayer for us is the courage to ask God to help us be witnesses to the gleaming lights within and around us today.
If God has placed the Great Light of Love in our hearts, what gleams of light might you be willing to witness in your own life today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Viewpoint!

God has a pointed view of life.  We as creations of God have the capacity to carry the same view.  The point of God’s view is love.  Recognizing our connection to God gives us permission to explore opening up and seeing things as God sees things.  It gives our heart permission to do the driving.  It invites a connection between our heart and our head.  In my daily meditation date with God I am slowly remembering that my freedom lives in the view from my heart.  My desire breathes from the view from my heart.  To change the point on which I am focusing I need to actively engage my heart. This is not easy, but it is simple.  It means taking a break from the view from my eyes.  Our eyes are tremendous gifts and I would not want to be without them.  They, like all things, have their limits and are only capable of so much on their own.  Resting in the reality of God’s point of view during my daily meditation date provides the opportunity to explore the view from my heart.  The willingness to let go of the viewpoint from just my eyes, starts with closing them and taking a deep breath into my heart.

My prayer for us is the courage to take God up on a meditation date and live for a few moments from the viewpoint of our hearts today.
If God already placed within our hearts the capacity to view all points as connected to love, what is standing in the way of closing your eyes and breathing into your heart for just a moment today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Correction!

God is correct.  In relationship with God we begin to see rightly. Our vision adjusts to having again the eyes of love.  It is not that we didn’t have eyes love before a relationship with God.  It’s not even that we have never not been in relationship with God. It is that now it is a conscious decision.  Relationship with God is a decision.  Day by day, sometimes moment by moment, we get to choose to align ourselves with the thinking of God or not.  God sees things as they truly are.  God’s sight correction is one that speaks to our hearts.  I need this correction when I am distraught and frustrated about how things are not the way I expect them to be.  When I am fighting reality, I look to my relationship with God to explain to my heart which is hurting from my mind’s interpretation of things.  When I get that my erred way of thinking is causing the pain, I am willing to surrender to another way.  Sometimes this takes a while and I am grateful that God is not only patient but compassionate.
My prayer for us is the recognition that when we decide we no longer want to suffer due to our thinking, God is ready to provide the needed correction which leads us to peace.
If God’s correct thinking is available to us at any time we decide to let go of our own, what do you think is keeping you from seeking correction today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Imitation!

God is ideal.  As children of God we are called to imitate the love from which we were created.  This imitation however is not about adopting something outside of ourselves.  Being imitation means connecting with the deepest and truest essence of ourselves.  Within our hearts is the design of God.  It is about letting go of the ideas or days of being that lay on top of our truest reality.  Things happen.  Good things and not so good things.  As children, who do not know the difference between what is happening and who we are, we take these things on as definitions of ourselves.  For me this meant many years of thinking I was a mistake instead of someone who has made a mistake.  My goal in life therefore was to never make mistakes because I could not bear confirmation that I was a mistake.  It was a difficult way to live.  When I got into recovery and learned the distinction, I started a new way of being.  In my daily meditation date with God I asked to be willing to make mistakes and learn knowing that I was not a mistake one day at a time.
My prayer for us is the courage to imitate who God sees us as instead of what we think the world wants us to be today.
If God is the model, what can you recognize in yourself as already being an imitation of God today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Impeccability!

God is blameless.  When we encounter the unseen God, we find ourselves in a time and space where the idea of fault does not exist.  All that God creates is perfection because God is whole and complete.  There are no blemishes when it come to God. Being in relationship with God means a recognition of our powerlessness over the ability to change the nature of what God created.  In other words, we embody this same impeccable nature.  There is nothing about us to be fixed, solved, or forgiven.  In the realm of the spirit all the things that we do in the physical realm are unreal.  When we slow down long enough, we recognize that it is our minds and the mind of the world functioning in blame, sickness, and the opposite of God.  God is the greatest and there is no equal.  Therefore all our energy and language around being made acceptable to God is false. God always accepts us in our impeccable nature.  It is not about getting to a point of purity or blamelessness. In God’s eyes we have never been anywhere else.  It is about seeing the futility and misery of the misaligned thinking under which we have been functioning.
My prayer for us today is the courage to step into our impeccable nature and begin to live our lives in God’s reality instead of the smallness of our own.
If God truly sees us as blameless because we are not powerful enough to undo the impeccability from which we were created, how might this alter your perception of blame towards yourself or others today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Energy!

God is on fire.  There exists within us an ultimate light that dispels all the darkness.  The darkness that makes us think we are not who we truly are.  It has the potential to destroy our very nature.  The light is present in our hearts and travels through our entire being.  It is up to us if we want to allow the light to grow or to let the darkness seep in further.  Darkness will always appear and may even delude us into thinking it is what is present at our core, but it is an illusion.  We need not run from the darkness, it is all energy that can be transmuted.  We engage God in the process because God always sees our light even when we cannot.  God does not have shame about our darkness the way we do. God does not think it necessary to hide our darkness.  God sees everything as an opportunity to grow in love.  If waking up and claiming the presence of our darkness takes us on a path to reconnect with our light, then our energy is being expended in the growing towards love. This is why we are here.
My prayer for us is the willingness to embrace all the energy within us and ask God to transmute any illusion of darkness to light energy if it is for the greater good.
If God is light and sees only light, how can God assist you in bringing light energy to the darkness that is clouding your vision of you today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Liberation!

God is freedom.  A relationship with God is our ticket to the freedom that our spirit craves.  Some people think that a dependence upon a power greater than themselves puts them in bondage.  By all accounts it may look that way, but things are rarely what they seem.  My daily meditation dates with God are the way I start my day because it liberates me from being a slave to my thinking mind.  Our minds are beautiful but they are non-stop.  One thought after another, judgments, ideas, questions, connections to old thoughts come like a barrage.  It barely leaves time to breathe.  After a while I buy into all the thoughts and repeat them which forms beliefs.  These beliefs are based on what occurred during a specific circumstance but given my mind’s ability to automate, it sees it as an opportunity to make me more efficient.  In survival mode efficiency is key. It is not lively or liberating in terms of enjoying life. My liberation is in being in the new moment.  Time to pause and to breathe and be present is what it means to be a human being.  Liberating myself by acknowledging that I am not my mind is my gateway to honoring and respecting all the parts of this human journey.
My prayer for us is the willingness to take some meditation time with God and set in motion our liberation.
If God is freeing, how can God assist you in creating your liberation today? Share in the comments.

Be Of Spirit!

God moves in and through everything. The spirit of love courses through all things.  The energy of love is what guides the spirit.  We live in human bodies and move about through them.  Coordinating the vision and strength of the spirit to guide our minds and our bodies  brings us to a place of coherence.  From this place of balance we can utilize the tools of our mind for the greatest good. It is like making room for God as the conductor so our instruments showcase the best of existence and dazzle the world.  We bring in Spirit through our breath.  We connect with Spirit by pausing and asking God to be with us in the moment we are in.
My prayer for us is the willingness to utilize the gift of Spirit by paying attention to our breath today.
If God can connect with us in spirit  through our breath, what can we connect to in ourselves through our breath today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Continuation!

God begins all things.  We carry on God’s beginnings in this world. God created us out of love to be love and to share love.  When we remember who we are we have the courage to carry on what God has begun in us.  We continue to do the creation of love in our lives as best fits our lives.  We are not all called to be a Mother Teresa or a Martin Luther King, jr., or a Dorothy Day, or Nelson Mandela.  We are called to be our best selves (ones who are in tune with the love at our core) and show up to share it in the life we are in. This is why comparison’s do not serve us.  We are not in competition with others on how to live our lives.  No one has it any better or worse than anyone else.  We all have our lessons and our challenges in this life.  These situations allow us to continue the love that we are day by day. Our learnings of how love is present in our challenges allows us to awaken and bear witness to the power of love that God continually creates. I need to remember this when I  face challenging situations because sometimes I get stuck in thinking that it is my job to overcome the situation.  My job is to grow in love and be the evidence that God’s work continues through me no matter what I face in life. In my daily meditation dates with God I am reminded of the gift of starting my day by connecting with God.  This increases my chances of remembering who I am and the courage to continue God’s work today.
My prayer for us the willingness to see our challenges and situations as the perfect masterpiece through which to continue God’s work of love that starts within our own hearts today.
If God began the work of love in our own hearts, how can God assist you in remembering who you truly are so you may have the courage to continue God’s work today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Blindness!

God generates faith.  We all have time when we cannot see past the difficulties we are facing. Times when things look grim and our perspective is clouded by what we are not able to see.  Being in relationship with God means trusting when there is no evidence to trust.  It is demonstrating patience when we want to get frustrated.  We live in a world where we rely on what we can see as proof of the realness of things.  Being in relationship with God means sticking around even when we can’t see.  The gift of blindness to evidence allows us to know if our relationship with God is based on outcomes or on connecting with love.  When we cannot see the evidence we have a choice. Either continue trusting based on the love that we sense in our hearts or not.  Either I believe God is everything or God is not.  Blindness is not a test of faith it is an opportunity for a decision.  We get to decide at each moment if our faith in love is based solely on what we can see or if love exceeds the parameters of what we can see with our eyes.
My prayer for us is the courage to embrace the elements of love that we see with blindness of eyes but sight of heart today.
If God is there whether we see God or not, how do you see love without your eyes when you go through your day?  Share in the comments.
