Sharing my experiences and understandings of the Great I AM.

Be Stark!

on June 10, 2013
It can be hard to imagine that we began as a jumble of cells in our mother’s wombs.  But actually we began even before that.  In the Hebrew and Christian scriptures there are references to the idea that God knew us even before we were formed in the womb.  We were just an idea.  Before we came into being there was light and energy that was being brought forth into existence.  The point is we have never stopped being part of that light and love from which we came.  Our job is to clear away the stuff that gets layered on top of who we truly are.  When we pause and get centered, there is a clearing that happens. Sometimes, though, there are many years before we stop to reconnect with our light and in that time we have acquired some layers.  Our first task is to take a close look at those layers–good and bad and see if they are truly in alignment with our essence.  This creates clarity in our lives and allows us to shine forth for all to see.  I know I wanted to hide for many years.  I literally managed to put on layers of weight of what I thought were protection.  I was not connected to the Great Protector. And by protector I don’t mean preventor.  I don’t see God as one that prevents bad things from happening, life happens-positive and negative experiences.  But my connection to God will help me to keep a clear perspective, remind me that I am not the experience that is happening. I see God often as the One that brings  love back to my mind.  Allows me to be open to seeing things in a new way and protects me from completely destroying myself and others based on my negative thinking that has simply lost sight of hope.  My prayer for you today as you encounter a particular layer that dulls your clarity of who you really are–either new or old–that you have the courage to pause and ask the Great Protector to shine the light of perspective on it.  Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen
