If we are truly willing to embrace life and create a new experience from our relationship with God, then we must have new definitions.  Things begin to take on a new meaning and yes it is so easy to fall back on our old programming, but that is the required effort to live a spiritual life.  If it was easy, everyone would be doing it.  It takes work.  Even Jesus said, that we have to take up our cross.  We think our cross is the problems we face.  I think our cross is how we think and feel about the “problems” we face.  The world is very clear about how it defines a win and how it defines a loss.  Anyone who watches a football game knows which team is winning and which team is not.  But what if the fact that the team that is losing is playing as a team in a way that haven’t done in years because they are really working as a team.  Isn’t that a win for them?  What if the marathon runner is doing their first marathon, isn’t that a win for them to complete the marathon, even if they don’t get first place?  When you go through your day today, the world may say you didn’t win at anything according to their standards.  But are those whose standards you really wish to measure your life?  My prayer for you today is that you have the courage to acknowledge where you are winning in your spirit and if you can’t see it then ask God to borrow his eyes.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen
