Sharing my experiences and understandings of the Great I AM.

Be in Stolenness!

on February 21, 2014
God wants so much to be close to us.  Why else would the Creator of all creations have taken the time to design and develop every little cell of our being?  The question is do we dare be that close to us?  Can we handle the silence within ourselves?  I think we get caught up in the worldly clamours and distractions around us because we are afraid of what we will find if we slow down long enough to get to know ourselves.  We do not want to face our stories because we think that what our head tells us just might be true.  The irony, of course, (and those who have delved deep within can attest) is that we instead find the truth of who we are.  It is hidden behind the noise and the drama and the doing and performing.  In the quiet stillness of our heart, God longs to steal us away and show us the love that resides deep and calm and powerful within us.  The essence of who we are is connected to All that is.  God wants to reveal our true nature, but we have to be willing to risk standing up to the stories that we have created and test their truth.  My prayer for us today is that we be granted the courage and the willingness to be stolen away by our Creator so that the beauty of who we are can be revealed to us in light of our circumstances of the day.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen
