It has been said that without vision, people perish. It is our vision of what we want to create that propels us into the future and into something bigger than ourselves. But what about what is right in front of our noses? Vision implies a creation of a visual in our minds, our sight is what we use to see what is actually in front of us at that moment. The real question is are we seeing what is actually there or are we seeing what we think we want to see? Studies have shown that two people can be present at the same event and see two totally different things. How is it possible then to know what we are actually seeing? We do the best we can at any given moment. My prayer for us today is that we be open to seeing the gifts of life that are right in front of our faces and have the courage to take them as they are not how we would envision them to be.
