Sharing my experiences and understandings of the Great I AM.

Be in Entrance!

on June 24, 2014
There can be something magical when we stand at the doorway of the entrance to a new experience.  Think about a time when you were so excited to get started in something new-maybe a new job, school, relationship, vacation, etc.  There was probably a little fear and anxiety but if you were looking forward to it, you felt the excitement at what possible things might lie ahead.  What would it be like if we approached every day that way?  Yes, every “mundane” day where we go to work again, pay some more bills, get in the car, etc.  What if we approached something we do over and over again as the first time we are doing it?  As a trainer of new employees I train the same thing over and over again.  It is not new to me, but it is new to the people who I am training.  They have never seen this before, they are unaware of the possibilities that lie within the capacity of the system.  They are going to be wowed by the ways that it can help them in their job even though I am way past being wowed by it.  It is a continual opportunity for me to look at it through the eyes of my customers.  Children are very adept at finding wonder and excitement and newness in all things.  No matter what door they are walking through they carry a hopefulness and openness to learn and grow.  We can harness that energy that lives within us by letting go that we know what is going to happen.  God wants us to be present for the little nuances we were not expecting so that we can be surprised and delighted by life.  My prayer for us today is that we ask for the courage to stand at our day like it is the entrance to Disneyland and be open to what wonder awaits even on the rides we have ridden before.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen
