Sharing my experiences and understandings of the Great I AM.

Be in Acknowledgment!

on October 12, 2014
When we are willing and able to look at something for exactly what it is we open up a window for allowing.  When we acknowledge things and situation for the truth of what they are, we free up space to move forward.  When we are stuck in this place of not admitting or holding back then things begin to stagnate, fester, and become dull.  Truth and Wholeness is the basis of growth.  Light is a catalyst for growth.  When things are in the dark or hidden then they cannot grow.  There are often things in our lives that we are hoping will stay hidden and somehow they will then go away.  We stick in the closet, tuck it under the bed, sweep it under the carpet and pretend. We do this because we do not want to see it because we have made it mean something bad.  This is not true of God.  God wants all things in the light.  God says, let’s bring it out and take a look at it.  Only when we put it under the light can we examine it for what it really is.  Only when we acknowledge that we are hiding can we stop and turn to find our way into the light.  We think that to bring to light those less than admirable qualities or nasty things we have done to ourselves or to others show us for the frauds we are afraid we are.  But God does not see things as we see things.  God looks at it and says, Hmm, interesting direction that you chose there–did that work for you in the long run or?  But most importantly, God is all about what we are going to do now.  As long as we keep it hidden we are still holding on to it.  When we bring it into the light we start to let it go.  God designed us for freedom of heart and mind, for peace and love.  My prayer for us today is that we be given the courage to take the chance that God does not see our darkness as a liability but an opportunity to invite the light.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen

Are you willing to take the chance that by acknowledging your darkness you can transform it to light with God’s help?  Share in the comments by clicking on the number to the right of the title.
