The limitless, timeless, shapeless, and vastness in which we are loved by our Creator is beyond our comprehensive. Yet, it is the most basic in the essence of who we are as beings because it is who we are. Once we begin to open the door to the possibility of allowing ourselves to experience this love our lives begin to change. It is hard for our mind to conceive of this because it defies logic and understanding. We all know it to be true in the deepest part of ourselves. The key is to be willing to let go of all the things (ideas, concepts, beliefs) that we have built up around our heart. While we may have created those things for safety or for dealing with the circumstances of our lives at the time they were not meant to be permanent. Our ego latched on to them because it was much more understandable and something that could be grasped. We could go our whole lives living in that shell and never breaking free but because God loves us, life has a way of waking us up. These wake up calls which can sometimes seem earth shattering and devastating, end up being our gifts to freedom. It is the breakdown that facilitates the breakthrough in which we can begin to recall who we are and by whom we are loved. God spares no opportunity to invite us to return home to our hearts and truth of our spirits. I know that it has been in what seemed like some of the darkest times of my life when all I could do was call out to God. Only in that space was I so open and willing to believe something other than the outer shell story I had created to survive. It is in those moments of willingness to reach beyond a desire to survive that I began to sing my heart’s song of living in the light of love for which I AM created. It was not easy to let go, but it I only had to do it momentarily so that I could grasp the hand of my Creator. My prayer for us today is that we be willing to see the pain of letting go as only temporary and the hand of God as open and ready to envelop us as the love that we are. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen
