The life of God extends beyond all realms and resides in all things. As unique as we all are, we bear the signature of our Creator down to our DNA. We cannot escape that from which we were formed. This means that no matter what we do or how we act we cannot change our essence. It is up to us to own who we are showing up as in the world. We can be the character that we see ourselves as or the one that God sees us as. We can go it on our own and create a whole drama play in which we are the central character and all revolves around us. This allows us to be the director and design everything as just so. However, we will often find that it does not work out so well because we do not reside in every other character. We are full in ourselves. Other people’s roles are best played out by them. We interact with them and respond to them but we were not designed to be them or direct them. Being the character that we are means allowing others the dignity to be the character that they are, that God has created within them. It is easy for me to judge others but if I place the spotlight on myself I can actually do something about what kind of character I am playing. I have no control over other characters, I was not meant to have it. I am called by God to be the beacon of Light and Love to all in my own special way. That is my focus, that is my mission. If I am clear and purposeful about following my mission and living out my character I have no time to concern myself with what others are doing. My prayer for us today is that we be willing to keep our eyes focused on how we can be the character that God is calling us to be and thus allow others to do the same. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen
