God swaddles his creations with a love that is beyond understanding.  We were formed from the start from a love that wraps in and through us on all levels.  We can step back into that knowing any time we wish.  We simply need to let go of anything we think or believe that stands in contradiction to it.  Simple but  not easy. Our heads try valiantly to understand love.  But the mind that was created cannot understand the mechanism that created it..  We get glimpses and insights in our minds of what love is, but to fully understand it calls us to step away from our minds. Love is something that is beyond space and time.  Love has no limits.  If we are to be in a knowing of love we need to transcend the solely human experience of which our mind is entrenched and be wrapped up in the knowing of God.  It is frightening when we have lived our whole lives based on the belief that we “should” be able to understand everything.  The mystery can be scary especially since the mind interprets the unknown as typically not  good.  This is where faith comes in.  A belief in love is only as strong as the courage to step outside of everything we think we know and just be with God.  On my dates with God I have learned to just be.  Sometimes I feel a connection to God, sometimes I don’t.  Either way I show up each day in the hopes of being wrapped up in a love that goes beyond what my chatty brain can comprehend.  There God meets me and accepts me where I am.  God reminds me throughout the day when things fall into place that I am in the flow of life and God is in everything and with everyone.  My prayer for us today is that we be willing to take a few quiet moments to still the mind long enough to sense the wrapping of God’s love.  Make it a great one!
