The Great Spirit is in all places and all spaces. When our eyes are opened to the awareness of God we do not have to go very far in our seeking. It is the seeking path that ignites the spirit of all life within us to keep moving forward. We are drawn from our hearts to connect with this power greater than ourselves because deep down we know therein lies our satisfaction and peace. God invites us to go inward to connect with this seeking . We find we do not have to seek at all, it is with us in all places and all spaces. We become frustrated and exasperated because we constantly seek outside ourselves for an affirmation of the truth of who we are. No title, no material object, no relationship, no status, no guru, and no religion can satisfy our inner knowing of connectedness to the One Who Is All. We find may find temporary peace with those outside things but only the Eternal One is eternal. There are many times over the years, when I want to give up and throw in the towel. I felt disconnected from myself and from God. It is in those times that God is present, inviting me to see God in a completely different way. I know that my heart always seeks God. When I am willing to let go of whatever constructs are in my mind about how I expect or have previously experienced God, I am free to be open to new possibilities. God delights in our seeking because it is the splendorous experience to surprise one’s beloved over and over again making love ever fresh and ever new. My prayer for us today is that in the little moments of this day, when we think we no longer have it in us to keep seeking, be willing to take a breath and trust that our hearts we never cease to connect with the Eternal One.
