When you read or hear stories of those who have had near death experiences they all talk of bright light.  There is something in how love is expressed through light.  There is no mistake that the major source of energy we receive comes from the sun, a big burning ball of light in simplistic terms.  Why is it that our bodies are more awake during day hours than night?  Clearly the totality  of who we are is connected to the presence of light.  Perhaps God uses light to convey the luster of love and life.  This luster is what we are called to be.  We are a beacon of when we live from our hearts.  Not only do we light up but we become the presence of light for others. On my daily dates with God I am shown where I am blocking this luster.  I am able to connect to the darkness that is present within me in bring it into the light of God’s love.  We are the messengers of love.  What more profound way can we convey this message than by allowing God’s luster to live in and move through us?
