Everything God creates is sacred because it is created from love.  There is a precious nature to creation that we are able to see in some things but not in others.  Because our mind creates meaning and distinctions of separation it is easy for us to focus on what is different and why in someone or something other than ourselves.  We do not spend a lot of time focusing on the sacred nature of those we deem different from ourselves.  God is present in all things and therefore not only are all things sacred by their very nature but we are connected to all things.  It is difficult for our minds to wrap around the idea of sacredness because it defies the rational understanding of the world.  We even make distinctions about different parts of ourselves as being sacred or not. God does not operate on the understanding of the world.  If we want to experience the fullness of our sacredness this will include opening ourselves up to the presence of the sacred in all things around us.
