Sharing my experiences and understandings of the Great I AM.

Be Of Good!

God is good.  When we look at our lives through the lens of love we see a whole world through the eyes of goodness.  God designed us to operate with the acknowledgment of the goodness and wholeness of others. It is important for our soundness of mind to be in connection to our hearts which see with the eyes of love. Especially when our minds are constantly being barraged by images and ideas of fear.  It is easy to slip into thinking that lovelessness is the law of the land  What we focus on expands. God encourages us to focus inward and spend time in the space of our hearts which recognizes all the goodness and truth of love that is also present.  Then we can approach what we see on the outside world with the balanced perspective of the goodness that is inherent in everything we are seeing.  The world becomes a place in need of or demonstrating love and we are clear on our purpose in that moment as bringers of love or witnesses to love.
My prayer for us is the courage to connect to the goodness in our own hearts so we may witness the goodness of the outside world today.
If God knows of our inherent goodness at all times, how can God show you the power of the good that is present in your heart in this very moment?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Cultivation!

God forms.  Our connection with All That Is provides a blueprint of guidance on how to be the best version of ourselves. Everything we need is already within us.  Our journey consists in cultivating a relationship to our inner guidance. In the beginning it is inherent and we have not yet forgotten.  This is the innocence we see present in children.  This means we can often go along in life without noticing the grand design within us or take it for granted.   As we go along in life we add layers of knowledge and wisdom.  We also add stories and meanings that are not true to who we are.  Some of these elements while not intending to, can make connecting with the truth of who we are difficult. I have found that first I had to slow down and become aware of the layers on top of my heart before I could connect to the beat of my heart.  Cultivating time and space to discover and chose whether or not to discard such elements is crucial to bringing us back to the power and the fruits of a relationship with the knowing of our hearts.
My prayer for us is the courage to take the necessary steps in cultivating our internal guidance system and live from our hearts the best we can today.
If God is eternally connected to us through our hearts, how can God encourage you to cultivate your awareness of God’s presence in your heart today?  Share in the comments.

Be of Inclination!

God resonates. Within the spectrum of God’s love there is no place or space where love does not abide.  The emphasis wherever we turn in God’s world puts us face to face with love.  When we are inclined to share love, receive love, be love, and grow from love we know we are in our right mind. Everything else which appears as a lack of love is not real in God’s eyes.  When we are experiencing a challenge and we get the nudging to react from a place of hurt or anger, we have lost touch with our truest inclination of love.  It doesn’t mean we are bad or evil or wrong, it is simply an indication that we have lost our way. All we have to do is reach for the hand of God and ask to remember the inclination of our hearts so we may see ourselves and others through the eyes of love again.
My prayer for us is the courage to pause when we have forgotten our natural inclination of love and reach for the loving hand of God to guide us back to our hearts.
If God sees and knows our hearts are full of all the love we need, how can God guide your hand back to your heart so you may experience your inclination to love today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Redemption!

God thrives. The miraculous nature of love is its abounding capacity for limitless mercy. As human beings who are inclined to see through the eyes of fear and judge every element of existence to claim understanding, mercy can be a foreign concept.  Mercy stems from love because without it, it is impractical and downright silly.  When in a place of unconditional love, we see all things through the eyes of compassion and mercy.  The great spiritual sages and mystics came to know this for themselves in a profound way.  It is why they taught, wrote, spoke, and lived it. I believe it is from their own redemptive experience that each of comes to know the true nature of love.  This is certainly my story.  When we experience darkness seemingly penetrating our lives or awaken to its presence within us, we are disheartened, disgusted, and sometimes feel we are broken by it. Surrendering to the redemption of the nature of love and mercy shows us the illusion of the darkness we witness.  We can see through it and recognize it is only by bringing it into the light of love are we able to see it as the mask of our light, not the reality of light.

My prayer for us is the courage to open the eyes of our hearts to let in the redemptive nature of love so we may bear witness to the power of love in our darkness today.
If God sees nothing less than our being love or the capacity of love, how can God encourage you to bear witness to your darkness and experience the redemptive power of love today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Proclamation!

God abounds!  When we recognize the call from our hearts to reconnect with the truest sense of ourselves, there is a strange sense it is the one thing we have longed for all along.  In order to be in the presence of this awareness we may need to let go of some of our old thinking that is blocking us from the awareness.  It is not a matter of doing it wrong, but rather a recognition that what we are doing has caused the peace we are designed for to elude us.  God proclaims love for us constantly.  But our minds are often fixed on the expectation of a particular form or style and we miss seeing it.  My proclamation to God over and over is: I know you are there, help me to open the eyes of my heart.  I trust that you have not abandoned me the way I abandon me, even though I am not sure, show me what that looks like.
My prayer for us is the courage to proclaim our confidence in the power of God the same way God proclaims confidence in the presence of love in our hearts.
If God is ready to proclaim the love we are and show it to us at every turn, how can you let go of your idea that God will only proclaim love in your life in a particular way?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Quietness!

God is still.  With all the changes we are constantly experiencing I find great comfort in relying on the constancy of God.  It seems contradictory that a God who is constantly changing in presence could simultaneously be the stillness I find deep within my heart.  It is the core of who I am and does not alter no matter how much the winds of change blow.  It is as though the message of God is alway the same yet delivered by different messengers.  Since I tend to rely upon what my eyes can see versus what my heart sees, I get stuck in the form of the message.  I am essentially looking for the loudest and most obvious demonstration of God’s presence in my life.  I can miss the messages coming from the stillness of my heart.  The beauty of the quietness is remembered when I take a breath.  It causes me to slow down just a bit and notice the beat of my heart.
My prayer for us is the willingness to let go of the need to always rely upon the messenger of God and calmly breathe in the quietness of God’s presence in our hearts this moment.
If God desires to speak to the fullness of who we are in our hearts, how can God assist you in trusting the quietness you are experiencing in those in between moments today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Discovery!

God is boundless.  The river of love that flows through our hearts is an endless source of connection with the love infused in us from before we took physical form. Our hearts do not ask permission to keep beating.  Our lungs do not ask if its okay to expand and collapse.  Our system functions as designed. We can go through our lives not even noticing the miracles of our own lives until things aren’t working the way they are designed.  If we come from a place of discovery about the core elements of our existence, we witness the abundance of evidence of love in our lives.  If we unveil the joy that motivates our blood cells to move through our body or the rhythmic pattern of water cells assist the nerve passages, we just touch the surface of the infinite nature of love in our lives.  What other evidence is right in front of our eyes that we have grown numb to? Have you discovered the way that animals express love in non-human ways?  Have you uncovered the pattern of love that accompanies the exchange of water and air on our planet?  There are boundless opportunities to discover love in all its forms.
My prayer for us is the willingness to open our eyes and discover the presence of love in its various forms today.
If God has no bounds in the manifestation of love, how can God help you discover the presence of love a little more in your own life today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Offering!

God gives. The creation of God is unceasing.  It is a continual evolution of love’s expansion.  It is difficult to bring to mind the reasons for God’s generosity and then I remember it is beyond what my mind can conceive.  It is not for me to break apart and understand, it is for me to emulate. If God offers all that love has to give over and over again out of joy then perhaps offering will bring me joy.  All those years of thinking I needed to guard my heart while well-intentioned caused me to close off my heart.  I had not yet figured out a way to be fed by the offering of love from the designer of love.  I was too busy thinking that I must find it from people and things around and outside of me.  My meditation dates with God are a daily reminder that in the stillness of my heart lies an offering that can not only fill me but move through me.  I don’t have to fiercely hold on to it to keep from losing it.  It is ever-flowing and easily tapped into when I let go and let God.  My offering is the thinking I am willing to set aside so I can experience the flow of God’s offering of love in this moment.
My prayer for us is the courage to let go of our need to understand and breathe into our hearts the offering of the Eternal strength of love that is ready to flow within and through us today.
If God is ready to offer a love that surpasses our understanding, how can God encourage you to let go and be okay with this offering flowing through you today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Capacity!

God is fullness.  If we imagine for ourselves an experience where we understand the fullness of life we would only be touching upon the limitless capacity of love in our lives.  This is why our function is to grow in love as we go.  It is not about getting it done.  It is not about reaching a point where we no longer need to be learning. It is finding joy in the growth.  It is seeing our purpose in life as the building of our capacity to be love and share love.  If we find ourselves able to come to an experience that used to only generate fear and instead approach it from a perspective of love, we will see our capacity grow.  It is like building a muscle.  We don’t do it once and we are done.  We go back each day and contribute to the growing capacity of love for ourselves and others because we are becoming more ourselves.
My prayer for us is the willingness to grow our capacity of love and seeing who we truly are by testing it out today.
If God sees our fullness in love as ever-present, how can God assist you in engaging the expansion of your capacity to be the love you are today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Progression!

God is movement. An endearing experience of being human is the constancy of change. I learned change is inevitable. I don’t’ always welcome it and sometimes I resist it but it comes nevertheless.  When I remember it is about being in the flow of life I am less resistant.  When I remember that God is the other constant I am open to it.  When I reflect that all change good or bad according to my perspective at the time has brought me to where I am today.  All of my life’s experiences including the ones I was not sure I would make it through, have weaved the progression of who I am today. I cannot know which one of those situations had they not occurred would have shifted my life in a different direction.  I think I might know, but the truth is I don’t.  When I am faced with a particular challenge I may have a sense of what direction it will progress in but until I am on the other side of it, I do not know how it will affect my progression as a child of God.  This seems thus far like the crux of surrender.  For me it is being willing to show up and be progressively shaped by my experiences; all the while holding on to the heart knowledge of who I am at my core, which God created, and cannot be undone.  When I can hold the space of hope in my progression as beloved of God, I am assured that whatever may happen can be used to progress me into being more fully my true self which is love.
My prayer for us is the courage to hold onto the hope of the power of God in loving us enough to guide our progression towards more of the love we are today.
If God trusts the progress of love, how can you be encouraged to connect with the hope of the power of love’s progression in your life today?  Share in the comments.
