Sharing my experiences and understandings of the Great I AM.

Be Of Littleness!

God is in the minutia.  When embracing the wholeness of God we tend to think in grandeur.  Wholeness is everything.  God’s love is the singular thread that joins all things big and small.  There is no small gesture of love.  There is no expression of our fullness of being that is not enough.  The gem in grasping this understanding is it begins to chip away at the notion that we are not enough.  If you can find even one small thing in your day where you connected with love it is enough.  If there was one moment when you reached for the hand of God it is enough.  God is aware of the fullness of love that is you.  God never sees anything less than your fullness.  For us it is embracing the little evidences of love that we have forgotten are there.  Just one little recognition gets us back on track.
My prayer for us is the courage to embrace the little remembrances of the presence of love in our lives today.
If God knows of our whole capacity for love at all times and in all places, how can God spark the remembrance of love in a little way for you today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Amnesty!

God is mercy.  One recurring element of my relationship with God is in reminder of the extent of God’s compassion.  It is not a surprise the compassion perspective of God but the depth and breadth of it.  It far surpasses anything that I think is possible.  It is where I have experienced the most grace.  It is where I am clear, in case I was not before, that God is greater than I.  I have found places and spaces in my heart where an attitude of mercy exists.   From it I find myself extending my heart in ways that I did not even know I could. It is God doing for me what I could not do for myself.  Especially in those moments when I am worn down and feeling beaten up by life, amnesty emerges from a seemingly empty place.  I can only conclude that it is because I have opened my heart just enough that God is able to move through it.  The benefit is not just for the other person but because it comes through my heart, I am open to experiencing it through all of me.  The grace of walking free from old childhood wounds, the lightness of a new perspective on a person I thought for certain I would still be angry with, and the laughter that emerges when I recognize that I am taking myself too seriously.  The freedom of amnesty in no longer carrying around elements of the past, even if they are well-worn defenses of character I was sure I could never let go of, is astounding. The key seems to be the willingness to let it go even if I have no idea how it is possible.
My prayer for us is the courage to believe that God is so present in our lives and through us can equip us with the amnesty to be in the present and free of even old ways of being.
If God meets us in the present, then how can God show you the power of love in amnesty by freeing you of the way of being that no longer serves you today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Ease!

God is comfort.  We are invited to walk in the protective embrace of God’s love when we decide that it is an experience of ease we want.  God does not make things difficult for us. God offers joy as our natural state of being.  If we are experiencing anything else it is because we have bought into the idea that this other experience is somehow more powerful than the eternal creative force of love.  Nothing is more powerful than God.  In our walk with our Great Benefactor we are encouraged to embrace the ease that is offered through the trust and the power of one greater than ourselves.  Personally I find it hard to let go of thinking I need to know or figure it out.  This explains my dis-ease.  My resistance creates the frustration which blocks the vision to recognize the power of God and I feel alone.  It can become a downward spiral.  Thankfully my time in the spin cycle of dis-ease gets less and less the longer I cultivate and make time for my daily prayer and meditation dates with God. Knowing I have agreed to meet up for our date again the morning means that if I cannot summon the courage to let go and be of ease in the moment, the dawn always come after the darkest part of the night and I will be in light again soon.
My prayer for us is the courage to reach for God’s hand and choose the path of ease today.
If God’s path is one of ease and there is a place for us on that path when we choose to walk it, how can God assist you in breaking free from your dis-ease today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Aptitude!

God is intelligence.  As children of the Almighty force of love in the universe we are inheritors of great love and abundance.  Yet we find ourselves defined narrowly by the world’s perspective of limitation.  How do we reconcile the reality of what is in front of our eyes and the knowledge of our being in the depths of our hearts and souls?  Herein lies the dance of life.  In my daily meditation dates with God I find I am learning to be open to participating in this dance of life.  It has taken time and patience on God’s part to ready me for this awareness all the while knowing I have the aptitude with which to grab this understanding.  God knows that day by day as we meet on our dates I can be reminded of who I am in my heart.  This aptitude of understanding facilitates the ability to deal with the perceived bumps and trials because deep down I know they cannot change who I am.
My prayer for us is the willingness to embrace our aptitude of understanding of our very nature and take the first step in our dance today.
If God trusts in our aptitude to understand who we are at our core, how can God assist you in being willing to use this aptitude in your dance steps today? Share in the comments.

Be Of Kindling!

God awakens.  In our hearts stirs and energy ready to enliven our spirits.  When we are moved to investigate this fire within us we find ourselves amidst unfamiliar territory.  Some of us have led our lives in such a way that we have tuned out the kindling energy.  We forget that it is there until something breaks open our hearts and we are made aware of it.  We tend to look upon this occurrence as devastating because we cannot go back to pretending it is not there, yet we are not sure how to operate with this enlivened part of ourselves.  God gently takes us by the hand, if we are willing, and shows us it is not difficult to live with this kindling as long as we don’t think we have to do it alone.  Our spirit is rejoicing at this moment but our mind may be throbbing in pain.  The ego thinks it is out of the picture.  But God does not ask us to be in touch with our ego or in touch with the kindling of our hearts.  God embraces both and gave us both.  It is our life long task to create a coherent relationship that is mutually beneficial and allows us to live wholly.  It is okay that we are afraid, that is why God is ready to take our hand.  God begins by showing us how to place that hand on our hearts and breathe in the kindling fire one breath at a time.

My prayer for us is the courage to trust the kindling fire lighting up in our hearts that may have started from a broken experience but is rooted in the love of our creator present in this moment.
If God wants us to experience life fully and wholly, how can God encourage you to embrace the kindling fire in your heart that longs to connect with your mind and experience the coherent flow of life today?  Share in the comments.

Be of Brightening!

God lights up.  Within each of us burns the brightness of God.  We are invited to connect with this light that lays ever-present in our hearts.  This light guides us when we take the time to connect to it.  We can never snuff it out.  No situation we encounter can put out our light.  It may seem as though it has gotten so dim that our only reality is darkness but it is an illusion.  What could be more powerful than to have within us the bright energy of All That Is?  God invites us to connect with it through each breath.  To spend some time in the inner part of our heart and become present to the light will allow us to embrace our day knowing we have the power we need to move through any kind of darkness.  We also become attuned to noticing the light in others when we are connected to our own light. Our brightening gives permission to others to shine their light and gives courage to those in darkness.
My prayer for us is the willingness to believe that within us is the brightening power of love and we can access it with our next breath as many times as we wish today.
If God provides us with an infinite source of power by the presence of light in our hearts, how many breaths would you want to use to access your brightening power today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Subtlety!

God is transparent.  We are encouraged to embrace the subtle nature of love with every breath we take.  There is a niceness inherent in the presence of God.  Nice however is one of those words that gets misused.  It is trite and clumped together with anything for which we have no other description.  We often do the same thing with the concept of God.  There are so many misunderstandings of God simply because we use the term to describe any number of unknowns.  The subtlety is the recognition that we can only touch the distinction that is our Creator.  We are invited to be in the mystery.  Our mind tells us we must know, we must understand, we must have physical evidence, and if we are not able to see it with our eyes it is not real.  This is one option.  Our soul invites us to the subtle presence of other options.  We need not divide our lives by the physical versus the spiritual.  The subtlety lives in weaving the two together.  What harm is there in recognizing the subtle way your heart lights up when we you see someone you care for with your eyes?
My prayer for us is the curiosity to notice the subtle spiritual realities God invites us to experience today.
If God has created such subtle experiences of life to enhance our experience of being alive, how can God open your heart to the subtlety of love present where you cannot see it in your life today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Advantage!

God clears. There is no perspective of God’s that includes the idea that we are blemished.  We have adopted the thinking of the world that tells us we must prove ourselves as worthy.  So many people walking around looking for approval and a sense or worthiness, it’s no wonder everyone seems so dissatisfied.  How can see others as worthy and deserving if the lens through which we are looking is tainted with the view of disadvantage? God does not see anything but advantage.  If we are breathing we know we are meant to be here.  If are eyes are open there is no approval to seek.  It is already there.  This advantage means we don’t have to spend so much energy building ourselves up to some level of expected normalcy, we can just be and it is enough.  God created us with this advantage intact.  We did not start out with missing elements of ourselves. Since we are not greater than God, there is nothing we can do to uncreate what God already started.  Yes, we can go off course, but doing so does not erase the course.  We simply grab God’s hand and humbly allow ourselves to be led back to the path of our heart.
My prayer for us is to embrace the idea that we are at an advantage because we have been created by a loving God who seeks to share with us the advantage within us today.
If God has gifted us with the advantages as a being of love, how can you embrace that in an area of your life for which you view yourself at a disadvantage today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Excitment!

God is eager.  Our capacity to love is bursting from inside of us.  It resides in all that we are and all that we can be.  Embracing this reality strangely enough is not something we do readily.  We have become so convinced that such reality is of dreams.  Could we possibly be created out of love, for love, in love to grow in love? Somewhere along the way as our human story played out and we experienced the opposite of love, it made more sense for that to be our reality.  Here is where God laughs.  A circumstance cannot undue God.  A situation cannot unmake our true reality.  Those situations and circumstances are merely exciting invitations to grow in love, to find love, to reunite ourselves with our hearts.  It seems backwards in our thinking because we do not see things as God does.  In my daily meditation date with God I am blown away at the excitement that God has in seeing me grow in love.  God does not wish unfortunate circumstances to occur.  However, when I remember to take God’s hand and asked to be shown where the love is in them, God excitedly takes my hand and shows me my heart.
My prayer for us is the willingness to excitedly take the hand of God when love seems most absent and ask, where is the love in this God?
If God gets excited about our growth in love from all circumstances, how can God take your hand in your life today to show you your heart?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Beyond!

God illuminates.  It is hard to imagine that the source of all creation would withhold any part of the essence of  love.  It is actually ridiculous to think that God could be anything but magnified love.  The thing we seem to forget over and over is all the things that God is, we are.  We were created by divine love and therefore have it within us. This is why we are meant to shine.  God has no eyes or ears, no hands or feet.  We are called to bring forth the love that is beyond our comprehension to the human experience. We did not create it but we are invited to participate.  We become the extension of the beyond by showing up and allowing God to work through us.  It is up to us to let go of our own agenda or our selfish ideas of what we think is best and allow what is beyond our capacity of thinking to occur.
My prayer for us is the willingness to let go and trust that what is beyond our understanding is the very love we crave and can experience through us when we show up today.
If God is beyond our understanding then how can God invite you to experience a love beyond your understanding today?  Share in the comments.
