Sharing my experiences and understandings of the Great I AM.

Be Of Safety!

God holds.  As a child I loved that song, “Whole World in His Hand.”  I used to picture this massive hand of God holding me like a little miniature doll.  Something about that picture allowed me to feel safe and protected as though nothing could get to me.  My actual experience was mixed.  I had a roof over my head, parents who loved me, and a father who would come into my room at night sometimes and do things fathers don’t normally do to their daughters.  I never knew when it would happen so I spent most of the time being afraid.  As an adult who had buried those memories deep for a long time I never understood why I felt an underlying lack of safety.  I conveniently created a safe barrier of weight around my body as an illusionary protection device.  When that started to kill me, I had to find a different way.  Part of my recovery process has been in trusting in God’s safety.  Not a safety that nothing bad will ever happen or touch me, but the sense of sureness that no matter what happens on the outside, it does not change the core of who I am.  My true innocence of love that began before I took human form was not nor could ever be changed by someone or something outside of me. God resides in the place of origin in my heart and vibrates my essence of love and always has.  I can be reminded of this when I return to the space of love in my heart and find God’s hand to rest in once again.
My prayer for us is the courage to recognize that our sense of safety lies not in the sureness of no harm but the truth of knowing that nothing outside of us can undo what God has created within us today.
If God holds us in love at all times and sees us as love at all times and spaces, how can God assure you of your own safety in being the love you are today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Linking!

God connects.  We cannot stray too far from the very being that designed us.  It would be like trying to unwrite our DNA code. God has left an imprint and a design that speak of love and runs through out entire system.  When we find ourselves off that course it is not that it is not the truth for us or someone else but perhaps the link has been weakened.  Maybe it is not about proving we are worthy of a God that loves and cares for us but not resisting the natural connection.  What if we did not have to work at being connected to God but simply stopped resisting what is most elemental in our nature.  Our ego is always front and center ready to tell us what we need to do to prove ourselves, stand out, and be special.  It provides us with the initiative to sustain our lives physically and materially.  I am most grateful for this.  But what if there is more?  What if the recognition of the sense of something greater is inherent in us to connect with if we just remember to stay linked in?  What if the process of doing this is not about seeking it outside of ourselves, but linking up within?  If God is something greater than us, why would the process through which to be linked with God be the same as something we can accomplish readily on our own?  Maybe being linked with God is already there, but we are being called to let go of the perspective that it is something to be obtained.  The systems and habits of this world are tremendous and awe-inspiring as well as frightening and limited.  Perhaps what carries us through to not be limited in the fullness of life is the recognition of the link between us and God as simply present.

My prayer for us is the recognition that in order to be at one with the truest design of who we are is not a striving for but a resting in the link stronger than we might imagine today.
If God is readily linked to us, how might God enable you to be present to the evidence of this link today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Echoing!

God speaks.  The language of God reaches into the farthest corners of the world and into the greatest depths of our heart.  The sound of God’s voice echoes in our souls, our cells, and our movements. The design of our Creator is such that we cannot help be expressions of our creator.  At our core we are an echo of God.  Our voices can also echo the message of love if we choose.  If we are connected to the truth of who we are at our core, then love is what naturally gets expressed in our intentions, actions, and words. It is in the times we are disconnected that our echoes will not be a reflection of God.  God does not begrudge us but asks us to recognize it and grab God’s hand to be led back to the truth of who we are.  We are invited to own up to the reality of being an echo of God and the vibrational presence of truth even when we are not aware of it.
My prayer for us is the willingness to own our echoing and choose to align it with the truth of love that is present in our hearts today.
If God has designed us to echo love and we are not aware of what we are echoing, how might God gently make you aware so that you can step back into the embrace of love that you are and echo it today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Curing!

God heals.  The unexpected beauty of a relationship with Our Creator brings with it a balance that defies understanding.  Love is the balm that calms the inflamed skin, the spray that neutralizes the toxic air, and the cleanser that brightens the surface.  God’s curing enters us at the core of our being and holds power in the never forgetting of who we are in our core.  The role we are asked to play in this experience of life is in of one who is willing to defer to a greater understanding when we forget who we are.  We are curing for ourselves and others when we openly work in cooperation with Our Creator.  We bring about the procurement of love by remembering and accepting the healing power of God into our hearts.  I thought for a long time that I was not worthy of the cure of love. I thought it would come only if I followed the rules, did what was expected, and didn’t rock the boat.  I almost killed my spirit trying it that way. It wasn’t until it did almost kill me that I became open to trying another way.  In my daily meditation dates with God, I am shown again and again the beauty existing in my heart that nothing I could do or that has been done to me can be erased.  The curing comes in the acceptance that nothing is greater than God.
My prayer for us is the courage to accept the curing of God by  remembering the power of the presence of God within our hearts today.
If God does not see anything but the purity of our hearts in which love always exists no matter what, how can God cure your mind today and allow it to be open to seeing the same?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Deciding!

God chooses.  God chose you.  We have the capability to make decisions in all areas of our lives.  The quintessential question is do we utilize our capability to choose love.  Love chooses us every day.  It may feel like at times as though we have no choice in the matter but that is an illusion.  In most cases it is simply that we do not like the choices. The decision to love is not always an easy one, the most obvious or our first inclination, but it is always available to us. Deciding on love requires us to be in the moment.  The decision may not look like what we imagine it to look like ahead of time.  I am grateful that God is always there with me and willing to guide me on the path of love especially when I can’t even see it.  I grab hold of God’s hand and ask to be shown the path of love so I can choose it in this moment.
My prayer for us is the courage to lean on God to help us in deciding to love in this moment.
If God decided we are love and is willing to continue to see us through the eyes of love, how can God assist you in deciding to love in the situations where you do not see it as an option today? Share in the comments.

Be Of Formulation!

God creates. As expressions of God we also create.  As manifestations of God we are the creator’s creations creating out of love. When we find ourselves having the same experience over and over again we can become frustrated.  This frustration stems from the lack of creativity in our lives.  There are not just certain people in the world who are creative.  Certainly there are career paths or interests that are obvious demonstrations of creativity but generating a new attitude is a form of creativity.  Being willing to see something from a different angle is formulating creativity.  In the same way God does not limit what is created from the power of All That Is, we do not need to limit what we view as creativity.  Living out of love and generating love is a formulation of creativity.  Having new eyes or looking at something a second time can formulate creativity. We stagnate when we box ourselves into thinking this is all there is.  We get stuck when we decide there is no other way to handle a situation.  Relationships help formulate creativity. Interacting with others who have different ideas and perceptions enable us to open our minds and formulate together what we could not do alone.  This is love.

My prayer for us is the openness to believing we can formulate creativity wherever love is present by remembering love is everywhere today.
If God has formulated us out of love, where in your life could you use a reminder that you have the capacity to formulate creativity from the love you are today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Loveliness!

God is beauty.  Stepping into who we are at our core calls on us to own all of the magnificence from which we were created.  We each have an exquisite natural beauty that exudes from our hearts and connects with the hearts of others.  We know we are in this lovely way of being when we are able to see the inherent beauty in others.  It is like our hearts have our eyes and they override the ones in our heads.  This exquisite beauty is more than a physical manifestation.  It is the kind experienced when we are in a place of peace and acceptance of ourselves and the world around us.  There are times when I feel this loveliness so definitively and it is beyond words.  The choice is always there whether to see through the eyes of my heart while seeing through the eyes in my head or just the limited view from the eyes in my head. It seems to be dependent upon the strength of my connection to God in the moment.  I do notice that after all these years of daily meditation dates with God my heart hurts when I am not able to use the eyes within it to see the loveliness I know is there.  It is in those times that God takes my hand and places it on my own heart and encourages me to breathe.
My prayer for us is the willingness to reach for the hand of God when the loveliness of existence seems to have escaped our vision.
If God has placed the eyes of love within our hearts ready to be chosen, how can God assist you in accessing those eyes and witnessing the loveliness in yourself and others today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Seeking!

God is open.  We can witness the same world and understanding of love if we open our eyes.  We will not have far to search but it helpful to have the intention of seeking that which we want to see.  Our focus determines our reality.  We focus what we are seeking.  Being in the seeking does not mean that we have a blind eye to the reality of what is actually happening.  Seeking means being present to what is happening and finding that which we desire to see in the present moment.  If we only seek determined that we will not find what we are looking for right here or are certain that it must show up in a certain way we will miss it all together. “Sometimes the very thing we are looking for is the one thing we don’t see.” V.Williams
My prayer for us is the courage to seek love and be open to how it will show up so we can be present to it in this moment.
If God is open to sharing love in all forms and all fashions, how can God assist you in courageously seeking to see the love that you are and are experiencing today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Affection!

God embraces.  The level at which we are loved has no comparison.  The depth of our recognition of that love is entirely us.  Often we are in the midst of love and experiencing it but it doesn’t match a preconceived notion and so we think it is not present.  We have expectations of how love will show up and from whom.  What if we are experiencing it constantly and are just not aware of it? What if God is expressing affection towards us but it is in a way we do not look for and consequently don’t see?  In a world of definitions and categories we become so wedded to things matching our previous experience and understanding.  God by definition is something more than our understanding, why wouldn’t God’s affection for us also be beyond our understanding?  Perhaps the smile from the stranger, the laughter from our child, the car that let us in front of them on the freeway, the person who picked up the trash on the sidewalk, the breeze that gave us chills on our skin are all expressions of affection from God.
My prayer for us is the willingness to let our hearts see affection expressed by God in ways our eyes are closed to today.
If God is constantly expressing affection and expressions of love towards us, how might you be willing to open the eyes of your heart to it today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Wanting!

God wants you. Do you want you?  The funny thing about love is it does not stay where it is not wanted.  True love does not cajole or compromise your free will.  It comes in when invited.  There are as many ideas about what love is as there are ideas.  We read stories as children about fairy tale love.  We go to churches and services and hear stories of love.  We read scriptures and are fascinated by tales of love.  We decide what love is and we want it.  The world we live in is about wanting, having, doing, and deserving.  God wants us to experience the love that we are at our core.  This often means letting go of the wanting, having, doing and deserving.  It means stepping into the being.  God wants us to experience love in its truest form and recognize it is not something to be earned.  God knows it is our being.
My prayer for us is the letting go of what we want and embracing of what God wants for our lives.
If God wants us to experience love in its truest form, what elements of wanting, having, doing or deserving are you willing to let go of today and just be God’s wanting?  Share in the comments.
