Sharing my experiences and understandings of the Great I AM.

Be Of Value!

God is the treasure.  We chase after rainbows and happy endings.  We look for the light at the end of the dark tunnel.  We search endlessly for something of value that we have lost. These strivings we have are innate in us because we are connected to the knowledge that in the end there is love.  We hold on and hope sometimes only in the deepest parts of our hearts wherein lies a recognition that there is value to our lives.  I know in the darkest moments of depression or addiction there was within me something that would not loosen me from the knowledge that there was some value in me.  I could not argue that God had no idea what was going on when I was created.  At the time I may have thought God abandoned me, but I could not dispute I must have been of value at some point.  I certainly spent a lot of valuable time focusing on me in the negative but the energetic focus was still on me.  Without even realizing it, I was connected to a sense of value of life just for the sake of life. Since learning to face my demons and walk the path in relationship with God, I am able to recognize not only the positive value of myself but the value of everyone and everything around me.  God does not create in vain.  There is value in every element that exists, good and bad.
My prayer for us is the courage to see value in our existence and thus the value of everyone and everything around us today.
If God places value on you, in what way do you dispute that in your life today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Handling!

God rules.  In the realm of understanding we all reach a point where we are aware of what we can handle.  We have enough experience with something which creates the confidence of being able to handle the situation or experience if it arrives again.  Many times they do.  The characters involved are different and the scenery has changed but we recognize a certain familiarity.  This is helpful as we do not have to reinvent the wheel each time we have an experience.  What we sense as the knowing is actually the familiarity of thoughts and feels we are experiencing.  In practical terms we have never been in the moment we are currently in until that moment.  But we bring ourselves to the moment and so we have familiar thoughts and feelings.  This generates the perception of whether or not we can handle the moment.  The down side of this is we are not actually in the moment we are in because we are utilizing thoughts and feelings from the past to navigate through what is happening.  God invites us to handle the moment by being fully present to it.  That may mean letting go of our thoughts or feelings about what we perceive is happening.  It is about being in the moment like a child who has never experienced the moment and is open to what might occur.  This is not easy task as our ego is wedded to what it knows  it can or cannot handle.  God is ready to show us the limitless ways to handle the given moment if we are open to letting go of what we are handling.

My prayer for us is the willingness to let go of what we think or feel we can handle in this moment so God can surprise us with our limitless capacity existing in the now.

If God think that we can handle things that we don’t think we can, what might you be willing to look at in this moment from God’s perspective?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Searching!

God seeks.  We find ourselves in alignment with our creator when we recognize our fundamental desire to seek God in all things.  Within our hearts is the knowledge of God.  Clearing away the debris that surrounds our hearts ignites a desire to search for love present in all things and experiences.  We want to connect to the elements of life that mirror those existing in our hearts.  Having tasted the beauty of love we want to connect with it in all areas of our lives.  This is what catapults us into a search for love’s presence everywhere.  All searching is a search for love. God has shown me in our daily meditation dates that all that I search for is only as far as the distance between my mind and my heart.  By continuing to practice connecting with my heart the distance shortens.  My search each day is to strengthen the connection between my mind and my heart.  The difference today is that I remember to begin the journey in my heart.
My prayer for us is the courage to recognize the desire for the search for love as part of who we are as children of a loving God.
If God knows that our search is not in vain, how can God assist you in fueling your desire to continue to search for love in all areas of your life today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Reversal!

God sees differently.  We see differences.  In the realm of the spirit the vision of life and the world is of interconnectedness.  Being in relationship with God means being willing to see things in reverse of just what is presented by the physical eye.  Physically we start out as one cell formed from two beings in union.  God sees the oneness that God created.  God sees the one love from which we were formed.  We however, see ourselves as different.  We need to take this position in the reverse.  Recognizing that we are here to be our own version of God’s love does not mean that we are separate from one another.  This can be difficult to understand but God is always encouraging me to keep my eyes on God.  When I remember to do that it creates a reversal of my perception of separateness.
My prayer for us is the willingness to reverse our sight from eye dependence to heart dependence and open up our worldview.
If God is one and we are of God, then what in your life today would benefit from a reversal in thinking about our connection to one another?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Profusion!

God is enough.  Created by enough, how is that we could be not enough? Only when we recognize that God does not think as the world does can we begin to free ourselves of limitation. With God there is a profusion of possibilities.  God does not see the limitations and so the story of not being enough doesn’t even make sense to God.  God’s profusion is a recognition that we are just being silly when we limit ourselves.  God would not create anything that is lacking.  The purpose of God’s creations is to bring forth love, light and life.  Anything less than that would not be life at all.  Deep in the confines of our hearts, buried below the story of not being enough, lies a profound amount of love that God is willing to help us unveil if we are willing to open our eyes to it.
My prayer for us is the courage to rely on God’s profusion of possibilities placed deep in our hearts and live from it today.
If God does not see lack, how can you begin to see the profusion of possibilities that God has for your life today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Encircling!

God is encompassing! We have been created from the arms of love.  It is no mistake that our arms extend out from the line of our hearts.  Encircling ourselves and others with our love is the shape of our bodies.  It is as designed.  We can choose to take on this role of encircling love when we open our arms with our hearts.  When I think it is up to me to do this on my own, I become weighted down and my shoulders curve forward protecting my heart.  My mind tells me I have been hurt too many times by an open heart.  Or I try to take on the responsibility of what other people do with the love that I offer.  This is not what God has in mind.  When I remember that God is within the heart that I offer to encircle all with love, I am able to stand tall and be present.  With this strength of heart I can breathe, I can open my arms, and I can create a circling of love that begins but does not end with me.  It is an offering of love freely given.  Then my heart is open to receive more from God.
My prayer for us is the courage to be encircling with our love by relying on God to provide the strength with which to share all that we are.
If God provides us with the love and our hearts are the vessel through which it moves, how can God remind you that encircling yourself and others with your love is being your best self today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Activeness!

God is Alive.  The movement of the breath and depth of life consistently unveils God’s presence in our lives.  When we engage in an active relationship with the Great Creator we honor the depth of our very being.  The activity of relationship allows us to continually draw out the love within our hearts. Sometimes the layers of fear or circumstance have created a casing over our hearts.   The coverage of our hearts was our best thinking due to circumstances.  The gift of relationship with God is the courage to actively be in the moment we are in.  Little by little we reignite the courage to let go of the past and be one with our Creator right now.  The more time we are active in this moment with God in whatever form that is, the greater the depth of our capacity to actively love all elements of our lives.  I have spent many years of my life casting protection around my heart through fear, physical weight, a sugar addiction, and stinking thinking.  Only when I found it no longer worked was I willing to seek another path.  This path led me to my daily prayer and meditation dates with God.  Day by day God showed me how to actively engage my heart from within so I could let go of the outer coating or rather allow God to remove it.
My prayer for us today is the courage to engage the active elements of love in our hearts no matter how buried they are and allow God to remind us who we are within and outside of ourselves.
If God has placed within us an active heart meant for love greater than we can imagine, how can God assist you in actively letting go of one of the layers of protection that no longer works for you today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Effectiveness!

God works.  No matter what seems to happen in our lives, love keeps working.  God has created an effective universe.  When we recognize that nothing we could every say, do, or experience can undo the Almighty there is breathing room.  My daily meditation dates with God have taught me to look at life through the lens of effectiveness.  Is what I am doing or being working for me, for others, for the greater good?  It is less of a good versus bad comparison and more of an inquiry into whether I am able to be at my best in any given situation.  If I am able to bring love to a situation it is effective.  Different situations call for different energies of love.  No one including me is a machine.  Every day, every breath, is an opportunity to explore my effectiveness in being the love I am in the moment.  This will look different at each moment.  Sometimes there are similarities but it doesn’t even matter.  All that matters is the moment I am in.
My prayer for us is the courage to ask God for help in seeing our lives through the lens of effectiveness of being love in the moment we are in.
If God has set things up so we can live as the love of which we were designed, how can God assist you in remembering how effectively you can bring love to the moments you are in today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Revelry!

God is joyous.  The heavens celebrated when you were born.  A new adventure was about to begin.  More love became present in the world in you and through you at this moment of joy. We can stop for a moment and really take in that we are a gift to the world.  We can revel in it because God created us as this gift and our only job is to make use of it.  It can be difficult to imagine what there is to revel in and be joyous about when we spend all our time focusing on what is wrong about us and our lives.  This is where God is ready to step in and help us with a change in perspective.  I create this opportunity on my meditation date with God and as often as needed through the day by pausing, taking a breath, touching my heart and use my other hand to reach for God’s.
My prayer for us is the courage to revel God’s wisdom of creating us as evidence of the power of love in this world.
If God knows joy in your presence, how can God assist you in an attitude of revelry for your life today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Caring!

God cares.  In our day-to-day living we desire to be connected to the One who created us in love.  We find ourselves drawn to moments of love and caring expressed in a million different ways.  We cannot deny that the touches upon our heart when we witness the genuine care of one being to another.  How much greater is the care of God who designed the place in our hearts that recognizes the power of caring?  In our breath we feel the care of a new moment in our cells.  In our smiles we remember the love that travels from our hearts to our faces.  In our laughter we hear the beat of our hearts in our voices.  In the wind we hear the whispers of love from an eternal source that is never-ceasing.  This is the evidence of God’s caring that I am able to see especially after I have spent my meditation date time with God being reminded of who I am.
My prayer for us is the courage to open our eyes to the evidence of God’s care for us in our lives today.
If God cares for us in small ways every moment of our lives, how can God assist you in developing a caring focus for a moment of your life this day?  Share in the comments.
