Sharing my experiences and understandings of the Great I AM.

Be Of Balancing!

God shines through all darkness.  The power of light and love is made visible to us with each new dawning of the sun and the moon.  God has provided a reminder for us every cycle of 24 hours.  Just in case we think the darkness of night will never end and just in case we start thinking we should only have light in our lives.  There is a balance of light and dark in our lives, in nature, in our hearts, and in our spirits.  It is the dance of the dawning.  The re-emerging of ourselves with each breath, each choice, and each turning of dark to light.  There is no mistake that while we are in daylight somewhere in the world others are in night-light.  God is present to all at all times and in all experiences of light and dark.  Embracing this understanding of God’s presence and love in and through us engenders compassion and breathes the essence of life in all things. God invites us to this balancing dance with God by our side.
My prayer for us is the willingness to try the dance of balancing love in the dark and in the light of our lives today.
If God is present as love in light and darkness, where might you today find a balance of love that yesterday you did not see?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Fluidity!

God is Flow. There is a never-ceasing energy that moves and breathes in and around us.  It is a force of love that guides all that is.  We are as much a part of that fluid force of life as anyone else.  We are an integral part of life’s existence.  Whenever I think that somehow I have gotten things wrong or I have messed up beyond belief, I try to remember to bring myself back. Back to the space inside my heart that hopes and believes God knew what God was doing upon my creation.   When I am lost and thinking nothing matters or it will all end anyway, I try to remember to breathe and see it as the gift it is.  When I am tired and frustrated and ready to give up on myself or my fellow human beings, I try to remember to be willing to believe that this too shall pass.  My desire to remember comes from a fluid place inside of me connected to the Flow of God.  My daily meditation date time with God that I show up for whether I feel like it or not, has given me the strength to try to remember and helps me to do so.  I don’t see the value on that day per say, but when I am struck by these moments of lack of fluidity I can look back and realize it has kept me connected.

My prayer for us is the willingness to build the passageway for the fluidity of love in our lives in all moments good and bad.
If God’s flow is connected to you, where might you find the capacity to build your fluidity today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Creativity!

God is the Designer.  Being in relationship with God means that we are called to celebrate our creativity. It is part of our nature.  Creativity is the ability to create.  The world gives the label of creativity to artists and performers.  We all are creative on some level and not always in a typical fashion.  If ever you doubt your creative mind just recall the last thing you were afraid of or worried about and the story you created around it.  Owning who we are as children of God means seizing the opportunity to funnel our creative way of being into something useful, uplifting, or even transforming.  Why spend all our creative genius imagining worst case scenarios?  Why not opt for using our creativity to inspire, celebrate, and enjoy life?  Each breath we are starting with a clean slate and can choose to design our next moment.  For me it is about remembering that my gift of creativity is God-given and I believe God would want me to use it to rejoice instead of fear life.

My prayer for us is the courage to embrace our creativity as a fundamental gift with which God wishes to celebrate our lives.
If the Great Designer has endowed each one of us with the capacity to bring creativity into every aspect of our lives, what will you create with your next moment, hour or day?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Lightness!

God provides us with all we need at any given moment.  When we stay present in the here and now we find ourselves not troubled by the future or the past.  In the moment there is a lightness of being.  We accept the moment as it is.  We recognize the simplicity of being right here, right now.  We don’t concern ourselves with what will be or what has already been.  Athletes and performers refer to it as being in the zone.  It is also referenced as enlightenment.  The idea of lightness is the freedom and fluidity of being.  This is where and when we are most connected with God and our truest sense of self.  We don’t take ourselves too seriously. We relax and do not struggle.  We appreciate the gifts that are present in everyone and everything around us even if they may not appear as gift. God provides the light within us so that we do not have to seek it outside of ourselves. Being lightness means that our vision is through our hearts. Each daily meditation date with God is a dedicated time to commit myself to being this way with my creator.
My prayer for us is the openness to explore what it means to be lightness and notice if our hearts are lighter in those moments as well.
When do you find that you are most able to be of lightness in your day?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Orchestration!

God is present.  This moment right here, right now is where the Eternal is.  God has orchestrated a profound design of creation of which we are a part.  To come face to face with God, we need to be willing to be in alignment with all the elements of God’s orchestration.  We cannot fight reality. At least, as much as I have tried, I have not been able to do so.  Typically the reason I am fighting reality is because I have made a decision that what is, is not okay.  What is, shouldn’t be happening.  What is does not meet with my expectations.  What is seems less than.  What is is not enough.  There is no circumstance or reality in which I can know everything that is involved.  Herein lies the humility.  Of course, things are going the way I think they should.  I have a limited perspective on what is happening.  Of course, things are not enough, my mind is programmed to look for what is missing.  Over and over again in my meditation date time with God I hear the simple call to keep my eyes focused on God.  I am known to even fight the idea that focusing on God is enough.  But how could focus on the Creator of All Creation be anything but enough?  Do I think that God will forget about or abandon me?  There have been a number of times in my life, when I was pretty sure God had left or turned his back.   However, it was me who my place in the music.  The key for me is remembering that when I am focused on God I am best able to be present to the focus God has on me.  I need to realign myself with symphony of God’s orchestration that got blocked when I stopped following the conductor.

My prayer for us is the willingness to humbly admit that we cannot see all the angles except when we focus on the One who created the grand orchestration.
What in your life today seems outside of God’s orchestration and how could God assist you in playing with the symphony of today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Solutions!

God is the answer. We encounter many questions as we go through the day.  Many we answer automatically and figure life is about having the right answer. If we can explain the outcomes to ourselves and others, we figure we got it covered.  God invites us to explore life, to be open to the myriad of possible solutions from our head and our heart.  God calls us to a deeper knowing that creates solutions where none may appear at first glance. God invites us to dance in the uncertainty of not having solutions.  We think having the answer will keep us safe. We think knowing protects us from being too vulnerable.  But if God is our answer and provides us the gift of love in our vulnerability, we can be open to learning another dance step or taking a turn with another partner.

My prayer for us is the courage to trust the solution of God to all things so we can embrace the dance of the question today.

If God is your solution, what questions would you spend time dancing with today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Boosting!

God uplifts and encourages!  Engaging in the beauty of relationships with God means remembering the esteem in which  God holds us.  We cannot simultaneously depend on God and view ourselves as less than worthy without a conflict in our being.  If I am willing to trust in God’s perspective on things I have to include God’s perspective of me. Sometimes my resistance to welcoming God more fully into my life stems from not being open to God’s view of me.  I get stuck in my own perceptions, created by my limited mind and forget God’s perspective is deeper and wider than what I can comprehend with my head.  I need a boost.  My daily prayer and meditation routine is about my willingness to receive the boost of perspective and set my course for the day.

My prayer for us is the willingness to boost our life’s experience by engaging daily in the time with God.
How might God’s boosted perspective freely offered to you improve your day today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Significance!

God is intentional. When we awaken to the genius of God’s creative spirit within us we open our eyes to our true selves. God created every facet of our being and we are encouraged to take hold of it and claim it as our true identity. Playing small is a denial of this truth of ourselves. For many years I thought being humble meant being invisible and quiet. I carried around the idea based on circumstances that it didn’t matter what I had to say anyway, so why bother attempting to be heard. Recognizing that God created me to be of significance required me to let go of this story.  It has been a process but each time I choose to focus on God’s significance present in me, the freer I am to be myself.
My prayer for us is the willingness to see our significance through the eyes of our Creator.
If you believe God sees and knows you to be of consequence in this world, what might you see significance in today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Surprises!

The beauty of God is ingenuity.  The delight of being in relationship with God is the unexpected ways in which God continually shows up.  There is an element of our being that embraces the excitement of love’s manifestation.  When our perspective is driven from our heart space we are able to focus on the energy and experience of form rather than the form itself.  We let go of the need for the content and revel in the process.  The journey becomes the destination.  Our hearts have an ongoing rhythm that seemingly goes nowhere.  We only notice it when it stops because all of our body’s processes are dependent upon it.  God invites us to let go and be open to the surprises of life that sometimes stop our hearts and capture our attention.  In the moment of surprise we can choose to embrace the joy of the novelty of how God is present in our lives, run out of fear, or refuse to see it because it doesn’t match our preconceived form of who and what God is.
My prayer for us is the openness to see God in the process of life and enjoy the surprise of it today.
How might God enable you to be open to witnessing the surprising ways that God wants to tell you of the love that exists for you today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Playing!

God invites us each day to the symphony of life.  When all is said and done and the final note of our symphony is played the composer will be there.  We are given an opportunity to play some tremendous notes in orchestra of life.  It matters little if we are wind or brass instrument.  It matters not if our notes are high or low.  We all have a part to play and without us the symphony is simply not as the Composer intended.  Can you imagine one of Beethoven’s symphony’s without the violin?  Or Ravel’s Bolero without the oboe?  Even for an untrained ear, when listened to carefully, one would notice the distinction. The vibration of the notes is not the same, the flow of the notes lacks a certain something.  God calls us to be the instrument of His work because no one else can play the role in the symphony the way we can.  Even if we do not notice the distinction that our presence makes, the world ultimately does and will not benefit from our contribution to the majesty of an orchestrated life when we  are willing to play.
My prayer for us is the willingness to show up  and be conducted on in playing our part on this path of majesty today.
If God saw it fit to make you a part of the beautiful symphony of life, what would give you the courage to show up today and play your part?  Share in the comments.
