God is the freedom that surpasses all freedoms.  God is the blueprint through which we can understand true liberation.  We live in a world that seems to be fighting for freedom.  The true freedom we seek is that of our spirit. When we are entrenched in thinking that who we are is solely what we see ourselves as in the physical sense we are bound by space and time.  We are not free to experience the life of the spirit because we are not connected to it. On my dates with God I am constantly calling upon my spirit to unite with my Creator and remember that I am more than just who I am in body and title.  This brings me the liberation I seek in my heart. If I am not just my body and my physical identity then there are limitless possibilities as to what comes next.  There is an illusion of certainty in the physical being that causes us to think that if we just stay with on;y it we will be okay.  The reality of nothing hurting us however lies in the trust of that which is more than physical.  Our liberation comes when we realize that who we truly are is in and of God and nothing that happens outside of us can change that certainty.  My prayer for us today is that we find some time to connect with our spirit of liberation in the Spirit and free ourselves of our physical limitations.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen

God is obvious.  God is empowering.  God is right now.  When we experience ourselves with full energy and excited about life we are in the flow.  We are connected to our Source of Life.  It is life-giving and life enhancing when we recognize that the only true source we need is that of the Great Spirit.  Infinite Intelligence makes sure that what we need is always present.  However, we often confuse our wants with our needs.  We get caught up in the world’s definitions of what is needed for a successful or a happy life.  We buy into the idea that it is about things outside of ourselves–our jobs, our relationships, our possessions, and our titles. There is nothing wrong with those things but in and of themselves, they will not bring the fulfillment of our hearts.  Our lives are enhanced when we recognize that going within and connecting with the One who manifests all those things is where our greatest sense of purpose and fulfillment exists.  It eludes us because it is so simple.  It doesn’t require us to study for years at the best colleges, go on a million dates, set aside money for years, or work our way up a ladder.  The elevation of our lives exists in consistently setting aside some quiet time to pause, reflect, and breathe.  God awaits our invitation to join in these still moments where our hearts can be spoken to unhindered by the clamor of the outside world.  My prayer for us today is that we be open to finding a way to enhance our lives in a heart sustaining fashion.  Make it a great one!  Peace~ Colleen

God is First Place.  God is the Prize.  God is First Place. When we participate in the game of our lives we are given the opportunity to win.  This means showing up to play.  It means registering to take place in the event.  It means preparing through training.  We put on the shoes, we do a bunch of practice, and we work up our stamina.  We get up after we have fallen.  We root for the other members of the team.  We go the distance and we don’t give up on ourselves.  When we play to win we are fully in.  When we play to win we place commitment behind our intention.  Winning is about being all in.  Life is how you play the game.  If you play to win then you have spent your life being in it and when it ends you end it as a winner.  God is all about being there with you every step of the way.  We experience the fullness of love when we commit ourselves completely to the being in it to win.  It is not about an external acknowledgment or getting the prize because the prize is the full realization of our hearts.  Each step in that direction, each phase of our training, brings us closer and closer to the Ultimate Reality of Love.  My prayer for us today is that we be willing to commit to a mindset of winning by being in our life.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen

God is God no matter what.  God is love regardless of the illusion of lack of love. God is unchanged by circumstance.  We are God incarnate and thus we are also unchanged by experiences.  We fell deeply and with tremendous energy and fall for the illusion that what we feel causes us to change.  But nothing can undo God.  No person or thing of this earth can rewrite what the Creator has designed.  Being constantly in the presence of God helps us to remember our unchanged nature of love.  When we spend time regularly with God, we are reminded frequently that who we are is not dependent upon anything or anyone except God.  The origin of our true self lies in the hands of our Creator alone.  My prayer for us today is that we be with the unchanging reality of who we are by spending some time with our Creator.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen

God is the Great Problem Solver.  God is the Great Teacher. Our life is a series of lessons in love so that we might embrace more fully the love that we are.  In order to operate effectively we are called to notice the problems or challenges that we face without buying into them. Our lives are about the process of experiencing and growing in love.  We glance at the situations that appear to stray us from love and use them as a signal of where we got off course.  Our experiences do not define us, but they can shape us if we wish to grow from them. It is not about getting it right or having the answer.  It is about acknowledging a lack of love and the presence of fear which is the opposite of love.  We then move from glancing at the problem to focusing on God.  Concentrating on God will shift us from fear to love. My prayer for us today is that we be willing to glance at our problems and focus on God.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen

God is always present and in the present.  God’s reality is here and now.  God’s source of wholeness resides fully in this moment.  And then this moment.  We are bound by space and time.  We have limits in our minds and therefore our reality meets God when we are present in the moment.  Our minds like to oppose the present by spending time in the past and projecting into the future. If we are not present in mind and body, we miss out on the fulfillment of God’s presence.  I know when I experience anxiety, doubt, or overwhelm the quickest way for me to step out of it is become aware of the moment I am in.  Sometimes all I have to do is look down at my hands and remind myself that I am here in this moment as a grown adult woman in this body.  When I do that I have a quicker connection to God who is right here, right now.  The gift comes for me in not making myself wrong for the opposition that occurs, but to simply be aware of it.  When I notice it, I just ask God’s help to bring me back to where God is.  Then I remember, I am right here, right now, all is well.  My prayer for us today is that we be willing to recognize and accept that there are experiences that oppose the present moment and ask for God’s help to step out of them.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen

God is clear.  God is purposeful!  God is specific.  God calls us to embrace these same characteristics to the best of our ability.  The path that leads us to commence this way of life starts in our relationship with the Divine.  In my date time with God I often wondered why it became so important to me after we started that it be first thing in the morning.  Why not have a date at night?  That seems more fitting.  My relationship and interaction with God goes on all day long why is it important to me to have the most concentrated contact shortly after waking?  For me I realized that I wanted the first connection of my day to be with the One who sees me most clearly as my true self.  I desired to reach out and grab the hand of the Spirit that is excited that I have opened my eyes and taken my first breaths.  In the quiet hours of the early morning I am better able to concentrate on my time with just the two of us.  I am less cluttered in my mind with ideas and concerns.  Once in a while it is hard to get centered because of something on my mind, but I attribute that to my practice of nightly gratitude when my head hits the pillow. Also the self-examination which allows me to assert if through the course of my day I stuck close to God and if I did my work well as a messenger of love. When I have not, I place that in the hands of God while I sleep and wake up ready to try again the next day.  There is no right way to create a relationship with the Divine but I know that it is important to know exactly when the main connection time will occur.  My prayer for us today is that we value the exactness of God’s love in ourselves by honoring a time to be with the One who knows us all and loves us still.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen

The Ultimate Creator took great care in designing you and all your faculties.  Detailed intelligence was used to set up the blueprint that lives within every one of your cells.  Not even a hair on your head was placed there carelessly.  With so much intention placed on every element that is you, is it possible that you are meant to have the same attention towards developing yourself?  It is up to us to continue the work begun by God.  Once we are given breath, we choose what movement follows.  God calls us to carry out with curiosity the fruition of our design.  God invites us to explore what it means to be present in this world with all the faculties at our disposal. God encourages us to embrace our lives with childlike wonder.  We are not supposed to know how to do everything or have it all figured out. We can take on an attitude of ingenuousness when we are willing to explore being present in our lives.  God wants to share in the joy of living.  If we think we already know what it is or what is in store then on some level we have stopped being present. God is in the present.  God calls us to relationship with the Divine at every present moment.  My prayer for us today is that we be willing to carry out our ingenuous nature as we go through the day and discover the gift of being fully present with our Creator.  Make it a great one! God is transparent.  God is clear.  God sees through.  God is not dismayed by our attempts to act in smoke and mirrors but knows that we are.  God is not changed by our desire to hide or run.  God does not change who God is when we act contrary to our god-given nature.  We have the capability to face up to our stories, our realities of being in this world and our god-given nature.  The other day I read and laughed at loud at the truth of what I read: “If it is true that God doesn’t give us more than we can handle, clearly God thinks I am more of a badass than I do.”  We are given the opportunity to face the truths of our life, good and bad, when we are ready.  We can choose not to and they will wait for us.  Our life is our life.  No one else is going to do it for us.  All the lessons in love are here for our growth and opportunity to draw closer to our maker.  When we face them we can clearly distinguish those elements that are truly ourselves and those that are a facade that have no true resonance in our hearts.  Until we face them we will not know the truth.  We will not be free.  I have spent much energy fighting the truth of my experience as an incest survivor because I didn’t want it to be true.  It was an experience that I had but it is not something that it is happening now.  It is something that I went through for a time and there are thinking repercussions but it does not define who I am because I am facing it.  I can see that it is the spiritual path through which I have come to know acceptance, freedom, forgiveness, compassion, and grace.  I used food to run from my body, I used sugar to escape my reality, and it started with facing those pieces first.  This is my path. It is a similar path to a lot of men and women but it does not define me.  It is about facing the circumstances of our lives and coming to know that we are not those circumstances.  We are so much greater than them.  The story is the smoke and mirrors. The reality is the transparency and clarity of love through which God sees us.  Every body has something that is their path and it is usually the one thing that they are fighting because in our physical world it is expected that we hide the parts of ourselves that are considered less than desirable.  But what if the circumstance of your life that you do not want to face is your ticket to freedom and fuller experience of love?  What if the thing you want to run from about yourself is your love lesson here on this planet?  My prayer for us today is that we be willing to be present to what we are asked to face in the moment of the day and ask God what we can learn about love from it.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen

God of All Knowing endures all unknowing.  God of all understanding endures all misunderstanding.  God of all magnificence endures all smallness. The duality of the world we live and exist in physically is not one that ruffles God’s feathers.  We might have a difficult time because we think we have to choose between one or the other.  We may struggle because we feel stuck in between two extremes.  We may define ourselves by identifying with one end of the spectrum versus the other.  God does not see it that way.  God sees wholeness.  God sees a rainbow of choices. God invites us to endure and see past the illusion of duality.  God asks us to see not with our mind that focuses on one or the other but with the heart that beats for it all.  We often don’t think we even have the strength to endure. That is when God takes our hand and says you are not alone, I AM here.  My prayer for us today is that we be willing to trust that God’s power to endure surpasses our own and is freely offered through God’s inclusion in our lives.  Make it a great one!
