God lights all the world through the power of love.  Our existence is an expression of the love of God. We do not have to do anything to make this happen.  If ever there is a question in our minds of our worthiness we must realize we are asking the wrong question.  We are worthy of being an expression of love because we were created.  The question is whether or not we are embracing our role as an expression of God.  Am I being the channel of God’s love for myself and others?   Have I let go of my agenda for the situation I am walking into right now and agreed to allow God to work through me?  In the spiritual path of the 12 steps there is a description of how to start one’s day that includes setting out our plans for the day in the morning and asking God to show us where we might be useful.  It is not about not having plans or ideas of how we want things to go but not being attached to them.  There is a trust that as an expression of God, God is with us every moment, every step of the day.  Whatever we encounter, even when it doesn’t go our way, we can trust in our ultimate purpose being fulfilled.

My prayer for us is the courage to walk in the knowledge of ourselves as an expression of love in every situation and interaction today.

In living the life that God has designed for us we are called upon to stretch outside of what we think we know.  We cannot live a life of God’s design by simply our own being.  Understanding the reality of our grounding in God means that we can embrace the experience of putting ourselves out there in life.  Life is meant to be lived.  We are encouraged to take risks in love so that we may become even more aware of the presence of love in and through us.  If we sit around and wait to be handed evidence we will not find it.  It is found in the living of it.  This means different things for different people as we do not have all of the same experiences.  What we do have is the same process of ;earning in love.  It may seem daunting at first, especially if we have been hurt (which we all have) but God gives us the courage to give love a chance one more time just for today.

My prayer for us is the courage to step into our lives with God’s vision of our growth in love no matter what we experience today so that we can know ourselves and God more intimately.

God looks upon his creation with love beyond our understanding.  We are encouraged to trust our Creator in remembering the power and the strength from which we were created.  When we find ourselves feeling weak and unworthy it is because we have forgotten who we are.  God is ready and willing to remind us.  The question is whether or not we are wedded to the idea of who we are that we created or if we are open to remembering God’s truth of who we are.  The beauty of God is in the process of being willing to let go of a story of who we are. The process allows for the very experience of remembrance. It does not matter how long we have lived in the untruth of who we are, if we are willing to trust that God’ story is the true one and embrace it, it can become our reality.  As my dates continue with God, I am gently shown where my stories are still at play. God then asks if I am willing and ready to trust in God’s truth of who I am or continue with the fairy tale.  Each time I let go of the tall tale and embrace the truth I have found it to be a place of great love and abundance and more wonderful than any fairy tale could ever be.

My prayer for us is the courage to recognize our fairy tales and ask God for the strength to trust in God’s version of who we are today.

God awakens within you.  Each moment we take a breath, the inspiring elements of life itself begin their cycle again.  How powerful an opportunity we are given in life when we think about how many times we can take a new breath.  This simple act of renewing life inside of us allows us to spread fresh energy through our heart which spreads it to the rest of our bodies.  It wakes us up, opens our eyes, and engages our spirit.  We are the messenger of the love of God every time we take in a new breath. Without saying anything the fact that we are alive means that God lives too.    God lives in and through us. Then if we take that breath of life and use it to fuel a life of love we become exponentially more powerful.

My prayer for us is the time to reflect upon the magnitude of the gift of our breath as evidence of the power that resides in and through us this day.

God is recognizable.  When we connect with All That Is,  presence is revealed to us in all areas of our lives.  It is as though a world in black and white gets infused with color. God wants us to live in the purples and greens, dance with the pinks, and sing with the reds.  We sometimes see coloring as a childhood activity literally and figuratively.  We seek it as a sign of maturity that we are able to distinguish the black and the white with great efficiency.  Then there is the grey. The opposite of black and white is often portrayed as grey but maybe that is because we haven’t been willing to witness all the color variations.  Just the fact that we label it all as either/or tells us that we are still in the black or white frame of mind.  God invites us to be witnesses and experimenters in all the colors, the greys, and the blacks and whites.  Every color and shade is a part of our full living experience if we want it to be.  God can used all things for good.

My prayer for us is the courage to open our eyes and witness all the colors of life and ask God how we can use them to create our life’s experience.

God is Light!  God presence overcomes darkness by the very being of God.  We then as creations of God are equipped to do the same.  In order to be in alignment with light, we are called to draw closer to God.  The very heart of our being wants nothing more but when our world gets clouded over in darkness, we forget to attach to the luminescent experience and knowing of God.  Each breath we have the opportunity to envision the taking in of the light.  Each day we can set our intention to reignite the light within us by aligning with God.  In alignment who we are being is the luminescent presence of God for ourselves and others.

My prayer for us is the gift of remembrance of our luminating presence when we choose to tap into the light of God within ourselves.

God is ready to make all things new.  God is open to taking what we show up with and showing us how to fashion love from it.  This is how I know that God is beyond my understanding.  How can my shame and despair be fashioned into love?  How can my fear and envy breed anything but a closed heart?  How is it possible that the worst kind of betrayal become the bedrock of love and forgiveness?  When I look at how my life started out, it is a complete miracle that I am a woman who chooses consciousness.  God has given me the gift of experiencing the power of overcoming circumstances because I was willing to see it differently.  God is gentle when I am demanding and angry.  God is patient when I am rash and ready to bolt.  God is able to show me how to be day by day, step by step, breath by breath if I am open and willing. God is not overcome by human circumstance or human thinking.  Of one thing I am certain, today is a day that I choose to be overcome by God alone.

My prayer for us is the courage to be willing to overcome our circumstances or ideas that lead us to believe that God will also be overcome by them.

God is always reading to remind us of who we truly are.  We are given circumstances in which to reveal our true selves.  We are granted multiple opportunities to question who and how we are being in any given situation.  If we “miss out” there is sure to be another opportunity around the corner.  God is ready to use any circumstance for the good.  In God’s eyes the good is us remembering and applying who we truly are to every situation in our lives.  God wants us to resonate with out true selves because then we live from the place of truth and light.

My prayer for us is the courage to take any situation that occurs this day and ask God to show us how it can help us return to being the truth of who we are.

God awakens our senses to an awareness of ourselves and All That Is. God invites me each day on our date to broaden my understanding of what it means to be alive in and in relationship with God.  I am never quite sure how this will show up or what it might look like but it sets a course for my day.  It is as though God is showing me that consciousness comes first and foremost from a recognition of God in all things.  As I go through the day, I hold up my end of the bargain by making an attempt to connect to the presence of God in every person and situation.  This is not easy, but it has gotten easier.  The more I let go of a fixed or preconceived notion of who or what God is, the more I am free to be conscious of God’s presence in the moment.  It is like life holds this constant joyous mystery.  There is a wonderment like of a child who is anticipating what will be under the Christmas tree after Santa has come the night before.  It gives me the courage to want to be conscious of God’s presence in my life and frees me from the thinking that knowing is my safety.

My prayer for us is the courage to let go of our preconceived notions of how God might show up today and enjoy the consciousness of being present to how God will choose to be with us today.

God’s creative nature shows us what we are capable of.   Because we come from the Great Creator who designed with love and of love, we are called to do the same.  We need not make it difficult for ourselves and God does not call us to figure it out all on our own.  It is about leaning into God and connecting to the place within ourselves that knows the truth of who we are.  When we live from that place we cannot help but create more love. It becomes a flowing out of our very essence.  Like the ripples in a pond, the creative love flows from us to those around us.

My prayer for us today is the willingness to align ourselves with the truth of love’s creation that we are and ripple it to the world today.
