Sharing my experiences and understandings of the Great I AM.

Be Of Remembrance!

God is always reading to remind us of who we truly are.  We are given circumstances in which to reveal our true selves.  We are granted multiple opportunities to question who and how we are being in any given situation.  If we “miss out” there is sure to be another opportunity around the corner.  God is ready to use any circumstance for the good.  In God’s eyes the good is us remembering and applying who we truly are to every situation in our lives.  God wants us to resonate with out true selves because then we live from the place of truth and light.
My prayer for us is the courage to take any situation that occurs this day and ask God to show us how it can help us return to being the truth of who we are.
If we believe that God can use all things for the greater good, what might you be interested in having be your lesson in remembrance today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Consciousness!

God awakens our senses to an awareness of ourselves and All That Is. God invites me each day on our date to broaden my understanding of what it means to be alive in and in relationship with God.  I am never quite sure how this will show up or what it might look like but it sets a course for my day.  It is as though God is showing me that consciousness comes first and foremost from a recognition of God in all things.  As I go through the day, I hold up my end of the bargain by making an attempt to connect to the presence of God in every person and situation.  This is not easy, but it has gotten easier.  The more I let go of a fixed or preconceived notion of who or what God is, the more I am free to be conscious of God’s presence in the moment.  It is like life holds this constant joyous mystery.  There is a wonderment like of a child who is anticipating what will be under the Christmas tree after Santa has come the night before.  It gives me the courage to want to be conscious of God’s presence in my life and frees me from the thinking that knowing is my safety.
My prayer for us is the courage to let go of our preconceived notions of how God might show up today and enjoy the consciousness of being present to how God will choose to be with us today.
If God could choose to show up in a way that you were consciously open to recognizing, what would it be today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Ripples!

God’s creative nature shows us what we are capable of.   Because we come from the Great Creator who designed with love and of love, we are called to do the same.  We need not make it difficult for ourselves and God does not call us to figure it out all on our own.  It is about leaning into God and connecting to the place within ourselves that knows the truth of who we are.  When we live from that place we cannot help but create more love. It becomes a flowing out of our very essence.  Like the ripples in a pond, the creative love flows from us to those around us.
My prayer for us today is the willingness to align ourselves with the truth of love’s creation that we are and ripple it to the world today.
What kind of ripples of love do you want to spread in your pond today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Congruency!

In a world of multitude of possibility there lies one thread that ties it all together.  The thread of love is within everything that exists because it bears the imprint of its creator.  This is our saving grace.  Our minds are constantly searching for the difference or the answer to the question of what is wrong in any given situation.  This is helpful to discern one thing from the next and the ability to recognize change.  However, too much focus on the separation and we begin to believe it is all that exists.  Love is the one congruent force that is present in any experience, person, or idea.  God has made sure that the world cannot get very far without witnessing the handiness of creation.  Sometimes the ways that we conduct ourselves seems like the furthest thing from love.  Yet, when we drill down to the motivation, invariably therein lies the reality of one’s search for love.
My prayer for us is a willingness to recognize the congruence of love as the thread that runs through all our experiences today.
If love is what is driving you, how can God assist you in recognizing the presence of it in your life today so that you don’t have to search so hard?  Share in the comments

Be Of Distinction!

God’s brilliant design of creation has an allowing quality that surpasses our understanding.  Just a simple look at the world of nature and one sees so many distinctions of life.  From the trees to the flowers to rocks to the bugs all in one landscape.  Then there are the multitude of the kinds of trees, flowers, rocks, and bugs.  Clearly nature demonstrates the multitude of possibilities that exist in the universe created by God and that is only what we can see.  Each tree creates different sounds when the wind blows through its branches. Each flower emits a particular fragrance. Each rock’s surface is unique to the touch.  Each bug has a taste for a particular kind of leaf.  There are so many distinctions drawn from one emanating love force.  To take it all in would be too much for us at once.  So God calls us to focus on the distinction of love.  Love present right here, right now, in our very breath.  The purpose of all those outer distinctions are to bring us back to the distinction of love that resides in our hearts reminding us that we need not seek it outside ourselves.  And when we do we will be reminded that the truth of it lies at home in our hearts.
My prayer for us is the ability to see the many distinctions of the world as the arrows of life pointing us back to the primary distinction of love already present in our hearts in this moment.
If you could make a reminder request from the multitude of choices present in your outer world to be a reminder of the love present in your heart, what would it be and do you have the courage to make the request today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Imprint!

As we embrace the call of God to live in the love that we are at our core we become a blessing for the world. It sounds like too much or impossible because we are thinking with our own minds.  In the mind of God we are nothing less than spectacular.  We are the creation of the Creator of All Things and have within us the imprint of our Creator.  This cannot be changed.  No matter what happens to us on the outside.  No matter what stories we make from what happens, we cannot undo the imprint of our Creator.   This is the power of God.
My prayer for us is the courage to embrace the imprint of God that is steadily on our hearts at all times today.
If you knew deep down that nothing that happened to you could change your imprint of love, how would you choose to react to experiences of lack of love today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Usefulness!

God has placed deep within us a purpose.  Our greatest purpose is to be the love we were created in.  How that manifests for us depends upon the gifts and talents we have been given.  We each have a role to play. While we share the same mission, the way in which we carry that out will differ.  The overall message of love will be shared because of who we are being while what we are doing is different.  I can be most useful in a certain group of people based on the family and culture I was born into that you cannot.  You can be most useful in an area for which you have a passion that I do not.  The challenge I have found is in being accepting of how that usefulness comes about.  I recognize that I can be useful by relating to others who have faced some of the same difficulties that I have.  I did not come into this life wanting to be a message of love for other incest or obesity survivors.  Yet, given my experience of such sufferings and more importantly the path of profound transformation of love and forgiveness that I embarked upon as a result, makes me uniquely qualified to be the message of love in that arena.  So much for my idea of moving beyond it or never having to deal with it again.  But that is just my head still carrying judgment.  The true reality is that walking through the darkness of those experiences has brought me to the greatest sense of peace and wholeness that I never thought possible.  God has shown me the power of love and an unimaginable ability to turn every circumstance into an opportunity of love.  This is one of the most useful messages I can share through my being today.
My prayer for us is the courage to explore with curiosity the arenas of life in which we can be the most useful message of love today.
If you could choose to be useful in being the message of love in your world, what gifts would you ask God to provide you with to be able to do so today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Completeness!

We are witnesses of the Glory of God.  Through us at every moment there is an ultimate expression of love.  We are here to send the message through our lives that love always wins.  God gifts us with the remembrance of that knowledge when we invite God into our hearts and minds.  This reality has never not been present for us,  it is only that we have lost touch with it.  The world we live in focuses a lot on what is not working, what is wrong, and how we are broken and in need of fixing.  From this perspective we are missing something.  God knows us to be complete and whole.  God approaches us from that perspective and if we are to live as God calls us to live we must be willing to embrace this truth.
My prayer for us is the willingness to let go of the stories that we have taken on that buy into the lie that we are broken and take a deep breath this day and allow God’s truth of our completeness sink into our hearts.
If you are complete life becomes about what you are here to do versus what needs to be fixed.  If God could remind you today of your completeness, how would you like to be reminded? Share in the comments.

Be Of Perspective!

As we wake up to the reality of who we really are in God’s eyes our perspective on ourselves and the world around us begins to change.  Prior to consistently dating God, my perspective was that of a victim.  I didn’t recognize it as such only because I was so invested in it being my reality.  I was not able to open up to a different perspective because I did not think it was possible.  At 20 years old I decided that maybe life just didn’t get any better. I was physically, emotionally, spiritually, and mentally run down.  I was attending college and had moments of being okay and genuinely connecting with others but deep down my sense of self was rooted in the idea that there was something wrong with me.  The unconscious tapes that were running through my head were painful.  I had some spiritual experiences that allowed me to see that there was more than meets the eye, but nothing that stuck.  It went on like that for about another 8 years before I found truly willing to go down another path.  It had to get worse before it got better.  I do know that deep down below what I thought was my reality there was a light that would not go out.  That spark of God’s light would not go out. No matter how much I was abandoning me, God would not abandon me even when I perceived that God had.  I am grateful today for getting to the place of desperation only because it allows me to stay open to changing my perspective on a continual basis.  I know when I am facing something that I cannot understand or causes me pain, there is always another God-given perspective if I am open to allowing God to show it to me.
My prayer for us is the courage to ask God for God’s perspective on the situation that is causing us pain and suffering today.
If you were open to the idea that God’s perspective is different from yours, how might it change what you experience as being painful in your life today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Alternatives!

God resounds beyond our comprehension.  God lives in the reality of infinite possibilities. We go by what we can see.  We limit our ideas and our perceptions by what we can wrap our minds around.  We tend to focus on the tangible evidence that we can see, hear, feel, and taste.  Beyond our physical senses we are able to tap into a reality that does not so easily bend to the limits of our mind.  In the realm of spirit, life is not limited by space, time, and form.  In Spirit’s eyes it is about the process and who we are being.  I have found on my dates with God that I am being led more and more to let go of the limits of my physical understanding of the world and be open to the endless alternatives that God sees.
My prayer for us is a curiosity to explore the alternative perspectives of one of our situations today and ask God how does God see it?
If there are alternatives to how you are currently understanding a painful experience, how could God open your eyes and your heart to them today?  Share in the comments.
