Children as such an example for us on how to live. They know what it means in the moment if only because they have very little past and the future seems so far away. Mostly they are good at the moment because the current moment holds such newness and wonder that they do not need to think about what comes next. They think it is amazing that the grass grows and the wind blows the leaves off the tree. When was the last time we held that kind of wonder for the world? It has probably been a while. Does that mean that the leaves falling lack any wonder? Not so much. The things full of wonder have not changed but the eyes through which we see have changed. We have so much information coming at us all day long that we tend to look past the simple wonders because our brain is already familiar with them. What if we were willing to fill out days with a little more wonder? What if you could take a moment in your day to see something you take for granted with new eyes? Did you know that God sees you with wonder each day? My prayer for us today is that we be willing to see something we always see with curiosity and playfulness so that we may cultivate more wonder in our lives. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen
