Sharing my experiences and understandings of the Great I AM.

Be in Fluency!

on February 15, 2014
I have always admired musicians.  I love music and while I can dance to it like there is no tomorrow, however, playing an instrument has never been one of my talents.  Part of what is so beautiful about music is its ability to transcend words.  Most music has words but the rhythms and the movements have a way of transcending even if there are words. They ease the expression.  They create a level of fluency and we are influenced by the sound waves.  I learned  recently that the part of our brain that is linked to our auditory function is shown to be very open to rewiring.  In fact, there is a lot being done with music therapy for stroke patients and those who have suffered brain injuries. Maybe that is why tone of voice accounts for 38% of what gets conveyed in our communication (with 55% from body language and 7% from words).  So when we are communicating with others and ourselves, what is our tone?  With what kind of ease do we imagine ourselves hearing in our own minds?  This is often how I am able to distinguish what may or may not be my intuition or God or my record playing mind.  If it comes across in ridiculing or judgmental tone, I can be assured that is probably some old programming.  If it is soft and almost with a whisper like quality that gives me a sense of peace, then it is most likely God.  The fluency through which God speaks goes beyond words, but has a music of its own. My prayer for us today is that we be open to paying attention to tone of the voice that we hear inside our heads (like the one that is questioning what you are reading right now).  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen
