God is whole and complete. God lacks nothing. Since we come from God and were created by God we are heirs to that same existence. At our core, we are whole and complete. We lack nothing. There is nothing to fix, nothing to change. So why does it seem as though we go through life completely disconnected from that experience? I think we are here in this human experience to learn who we truly are. We have pain and discomfort when we buy into the story of the world and our ego that we are somehow separate from God. When we think we are separate then we experience lack, partiality, and unfinishedness. When we think we are all there is, we find ourselves face to face with our mortality and our finiteness. This causes us to feel ill at ease because deep down we know that it is not true. Our core whispers to us, “You are whole. You are complete. You are love. You are light.” This is why I spend my date time with God each morning. I need to be reminded at the start of the day and all throughout my day when worldly clamours get in the way of my connection to who I truly am. When I am lost in my thinking and focus more on what I am doing than who I am being, it is equally hard to feel connected to Source. My prayer for us today is that we be willing to pause and connect in whatever way possible-through a breath, focusing on nature, looking at where our feet are, smiling, etc.-so that we can be filled by the Spirit of God and remember who we are. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen
