There is an overwhelming power that moves in and through us. There is a pervading consciousness that exists between individuals and acts as a glue between us. We look at things through our ego mind and see that which separates us but our spirit speaks the language of oneness. It is important to recognize that we are more than just our physical experience. I was reading a quote from C.S. Lewis yesterday that said, “You don’t have a soul, you are a soul and you have a body.” Our ego’s identify with the body. Our soul’s identify with so much that is beyond our physical presence. The daily goal is to remember that we are in this world but not of this world. So when we find ourselves stressed out and tossed about by life, we can take a breath (yes, our physical experience becomes a portal to connecting to our spiritual experience) and connect with our spirits which transcend our physical experience. It is my experience that this is what creating balance is all about. The physical human experience is filled with so much life–joy, abundance, sadness, courage, strength, and yet it is those opportunities when our physical experience “fails” us that we are given an chance to search ourselves beyond the physical. My prayer for us today is that we be open to utilizing our “failed” human experiences as the portal to our spiritual experience. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen
