Sharing my experiences and understandings of the Great I AM.

Be in Well-being!

on June 27, 2014
When we walk this path of life one day at a time we encounter many different kinds of experiences.  Some we label as good, some we label as bad.  Some we would like to repeat, others we hope will never happen again. All experiences invite us to walk more towards our own well-being. Even the ones we label as bad.  They draw our attention to what is not working for our soul.  This is why every negative experience, interaction, person or situation that we encounter can be turned toward the good.  Our reaction that it or they are bad is simply our reaction to something inside of ourselves that is calling to be brought to the light.  We can then hold it up to God and ask, “How do you see this?”  “What do you want me to learn from this?”  It is isn’t easy, but it is simple.  Most spiritual concepts are.  However, our ego mind looks to make it complicated and wants a rational explanation for all that happens.  Hence the question: Why do bad things happen to good people?  My question is, Who determines who the “good” people are?  If the Great Creator creates all out of love then we all have that love inside of us. Some of us just have it buried so deep beneath the story of our ego that we have lost sight of it.  But just because they lose sight of it and act “bad”, doesn’t mean that I have to jump on the bandwagon.  I think Mother Theresa said it best,

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered.  Forgive them anyway.  If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.  Be kind anyway.  If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.  Succeed anyway.   If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you.  Be honest and sincere anyway. What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight.  Create anyway.  If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.  Be happy anyway. The good you do today, will often be forgotten.  Do good anyway.  Give the best you have, and it will never be enough.  Give your best anyway.  In the final analysis, it is between you and God.  It was never between you and them anyway.

My prayer for us today is that we be open to walking in our being well, no matter what we experience and asking God for the courage and the vision to do so.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen
