Sharing my experiences and understandings of the Great I AM.

Be in Entrusting!

on June 28, 2014
If you are anything like me or any human being, you have a plan of some sort.  It may be large or small but you have some idea, conscious or unconscious about how you want things to go or hope things will go or an idea of how they “should” go.  I once heard if you want God to laugh, make plans.  Planning, envisioning,  and being prepared are all an essential part of being and doing in the world.  If we don’t have a plan of how to get from point A to point B, it is not likely that we are going to get there.  But if we are so focused on getting to point B and we aren’t present on the road there, we might miss out on a lot of life’s little experiences, gifts, and mysteries.  God wants us to be present in the moment as much as possible.  One way to do this is to hand over to the Great Creator all our plans and ideas of outcomes.  It takes courage to entrust our lives–our thoughts and our actions to something outside of ourselves.  Faith requires courage.  The beauty of it all is that the more time we spend getting connected to Our Great Creator, we realize that it is not outside of ourselves at all.  It is outside of our mind.  God resides in a place deep within us.  When we entrust what is deepest within us to the Great I AM that is right there within us we are in alignments and able to be present.  I in my finite wisdom and vision cannot see the whole picture.  So any plan I devise will by definition be limited, but if I am willing bit by bit to turn over my plans and ideas so that it can be aligned with the most possible experience as God sees it, then I cannot help but be surprised and in my heart overjoyed.  My prayer for us today is that we be willing to start with what we are willing to hand over and ask God to show us what is possible that we haven’t even thought of.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen
