Grace is one of those mysteries of the divine. One of its definitions is the free unmerited favor of God.  There is nothing we do to earn grace.  In fact, one could say that the very fact that we live and breathe is grace.  The reason we are here is not because we earned it or because someone owes us something but just because we are loved.  Funny how most things seem to fall by the wayside when we realize that we do not have to do anything to earn our lives, except breathe it in.  Literally, when we take a breath we are holding up our end of the bargain.  We will continue to survive as long as we are breathing.  If we want to experience more, then we can invite God for more.  God, you have shown me that you love me by giving me life and breath in this moment, what else do you have in store for me?  How many breaths do you want to take in and make something of today?  How many do you want to cherish?  How many do you want to be aware of?  The choice is always ours, but God will not give us more or less because of what we do. God is because God is.  God does not react to us, God gives life out of love and invites us to participate.  It is up to us what we do with it.  My prayer for us today is that we choose one breath to be grateful for, one to be aware of, one to cherish, and one to make something of and just see what happens.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen
