Mother Theresa said, “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.” In fact it is in the little things that we have the greatest opportunity to be love. It puts its in much more sizeable chunks. If we thought the only way to be loving was to give everything up and live as Mother Theresa did, we would probably never do it. But smile at our neighbor or the driver who cuts us off, this we can do. We may not want to, but it is not about want. It is about acting our way back into our true nature. We get caught up in our ego’s justifications for right and wrong and good and bad–in other words, our separateness, that we believe the lie that we are separate and need to remain so to be whole. However, it is in the breaking down of the fallacy of our separateness from others, from God, and from ourselves that we are able to step into our wholeness and our connectedness. I can remember today to do little things with the love that is given me from God because I know that it does not come from just me. When we have our date time in the morning, I sit in a space of connectedness. Whether I feel it or not, the time is for me to connect with My Creator so that when I have the choice of acting out of love or separateness I can choose love. My prayer for us today is that we be willing to do one little act of love so that it can inject that experience and remind ourselves that we are not separate from God. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen
