“Sometimes the very thing we are looking for is the one things we don’t see.” (Vanessa Williams song).  There is so much to take in at every moment it is easy to get distracted and find ourselves focused on that which does not pertain to us.  God has given us so many gifts and when our hearts are not open to receive them our mind will jump in to justify the rejection.  We will find ourselves focusing on what others have, how what we have is not good enough and get ourselves so caught up in envy and jealousy that we lose sight of all that we do have.  For me, when I find myself stuck in this trap I can turn my attention to what I like.  To ask to see that which is right in front of me that I am not noticing.  God, show me how to like my life, my choices, how I am being, my circumstances, etc.  If I am open to seeing them differently then I notice they are exactly what is needed for growth in love.  My prayer for us today is that we be open to recognizing the likes of our lives, at least one.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen
