God refines. In the intimate moments of my daily meditation dates with I can sense God smoothing out the pricklies around my heart. It happens so subtly that I don’t realize it until I find myself keeping my heart open in situations where I have been inclined to protect it. The freedom it grants me is immeasurable because my heart is open to love more fully in all areas of my life. Somehow showing up on our dates is a sign of my willingness to have my heart as well as my mind changed. I am so glad God is a raker of hearts and minds to create a smooth flow of love from which I can life in my life as it is today.
My prayer for us is the experiences of openness that comes from the raking of our hearts by God.
