God is here.  There are certain characteristics we will find helpful as we go through our lives.  Some will come naturally as they are an extension of who we are.  Some will be ones we develop with time.  As we grow emotionally, mentally, and spiritually it is important to acknowledge the characteristics that increase our aptness to a deeper relationship with our Creator.  Connecting with our truest selves is our key to freedom.  Being who God created us to be in every facet of our lives is our joy.  In our design we are beacons and messengers of love.  It is the signature of our creation.  We can forget who we are or take on characteristics that we think define ourselves as not who God created us to be.  When we are in a place of readiness to connect with God we know we are in alignment with our true selves.  I have times when the last thing I am looking for is where God is. Typically my lack of aptness to relationship with God comes from an idea I have of God that is of my own making.  I fear God will show up in a way I do not like or want.  When I catch my resistance, I have learned to set it aside momentarily and trust in God of a different understanding and see what happens.

My prayer for us is the courage to notice our aptness to involving God in any area of our lives that we do not want God involved in today.
