God is Good. God is always Good. God’s goodness is inherent. God’s goodness is innate. If we are created in the image and likeness of God then our goodness is innate as well. We do not need to prove our goodness. We do not need to prove our goodness. We do not need to show that we are worthy by being good. It is something that flows naturally from our being. When we are connected to th truth of who we are then we are good by virtue of the fact that we are good. We aren’t good because we need to prove ourselves worthy we are good because we were created by Goodness. Our work is to stay connected to our true essence so that what is expressed from us that goodness. My prayer for us today is that we be willing to see ourselves as good at our core and let go of any story that does not support that truth. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen
Be With Goodness!
Be With Truism!
God of perfect design has created a world of learning. God of infinite knowledge endowed all of creation with an innate understanding of love. We cannot run or hide from the truth of who we are. We cannot avoid the design that is built into our very being at all levels. We may try to cover up the truth of who we are. We may buy into a story that we created by our minds to rationalize the events that occurred outside of us. None of that is true. The only truth that holds any merit is the thinking of God. In God’s eyes, we are and always will be the love from which we were created. This truism guides our the movement of our cells, the breath in our lungs, and the energy of our hearts. We may feel disconnected from it. We may not believe it. Just because we cannot imagine the truth of truth to be true, does not mean we know better than our creator. It is so easy for me to forget my own truth because I have had lots of practice denying it. As a child I was dependent upon the adults in my life to tell me what the truth was. They did their best to share what they knew but ultimately it is not up to other people in our lives to tell us who we are. It is time for us to grow up. It is our relationship with God that enables us to open up to the truism of our lives. God created us. Who better than God to remind us of who we are and always have been from the one who knew of us before we were even able to be known by ourselves or others? My prayer for us today is that we be open to hearing the truth of who we are from the one who created us by turning down the volume of sound from those who are observing us. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen
Be With Cooperation!
The Spirit of the Universe is constantly inviting us to take part in the breadth and depth of life. Each time we have a choice to make we have the opportunity to work in cooperation with God’s design for the universe or against. One brings us peace, the other disheartening. It is within the realm of our spirit that we know the answer that feeds our true selves and that which famishes it. We get stuck when we cannot hear the voice of our spirit. We fill our lives to such a degree that we leave little room for a pause or silent moment. Living a spiritual path means making room for being. Life cannot flow if it is bogged down and stuck. To cooperate with God’s reality we are invited to mirror the flow. To allow for the in and the out, rejoice in the process, and trust that we are here to learn how to grow in love. Every invitation to cooperation is an appeal to experience greater love for ourselves and those about us and thus God. My prayer for us today is that we be willing to choose the path of cooperation and demonstrate our willingness to learn more about love from our day’s circumstances. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen
Be With Union!
Glorious God of the Universe has spoken of your value and your worth by creating you. This is how God honors all of love and creation. The very existence of the leaves on the trees and each hair on your head come from the love mind of God. Things are not arbitrarily present in the universe. Every one and every thing is present in the world because it is deemed worthy by God. The fact of its creation means it is worth something. Who are we to then say that it or they are not worthy or not created out of love? I get confused sometimes and I often don’t understand how or why things happen the way that they do. My mind searches and searches for an answer. Usually it comes up with something that symbolizes separation. Love’s answer is alway union and connection. The heart and mind of God draws us together, focuses on our similarities, and leaves no one behind. In some strange way this is comforting because I know there are parts of myself that I would rather have nothing to do with, that I despise, and that make no sense to me. If I come across other beings for whom I observe those same qualities and can recognize my connection with them from the union eyes of God, then perhaps I can see myself as whole too. My prayer for us today is that we be willing to see with the eyes of a united God who prevails with only love even on the parts of ourselves where we do not yet experience peace. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen
Be With Heartiness!
God of All Understanding has a heart beyond our comprehension. We are granted access to that Heart of hearts anytime we choose provided we are ready. The that Love that is God is mind-blowing and heart surrendering. In order for us to be a vessel for that kind of love we have to empty ourselves of that which might block it. God is constantly willing to share with us, but we are not always ready to receive. We have ideas and beliefs that prevent this grand experience of love from entering our reality. Sometimes the best thing I can do is pray over and over: God, help me to see this differently. Open the eyes of my heart with which to see this idea, person or situation. I know that when it comes down to it, the longer I date God the more I want to draw closer and closer to God’s view of reality because it expands my heart with a readiness to love like nothing else. This heartiness then becomes a longing that calls out from within and embraces me wholly. My prayer for us today is that we be willing to offer up to God any ideas that might be blocking us from a hearty reality of life. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen
Be With Enshrinement!
God of All Creation decided long ago that the love in and of itself could not be contained. In the same way that a couple decides to share fully with each other and end up creating new life. Love creates. Love creates more avenues for love to be explored, learned, shared, and developed. Destruction is outside the realm of love in the sense that we understand it. We see the dying and the letting go as destruction. Life sees it as part of the process. The flow of life means that things begin and things end. It is all within the enshrinement of God’s perfect plan. So, why is it when things in my life die or need to be let go of, I fight it? I fight it when I lose sight of the fact that God is in charge of a plan that is much more than just me. I am a part of a greater purpose. My life is enshrined in the purpose of love. As I grow in this love there are things that no longer serve me in continuing my growth. God has the sight to see what those are and I am given opportunities to respond to the invitation to let them go. God is there to hold my hand through it and to remind me that nothing that is changing affects me at my core. My prayer for us today is that we be open to letting go of the things, people, way of thinking, or situations that keep us from growing more in love. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen
Be With Favor!
God of All Enduring Passion and Love has created you and delights in you. You are a shining example of the power of love. You by your very being have found favor with the Almighty because God does not create that which he does not favor. Whenever we create something from our very being we favor it. We feel a connection to it. We see the beauty, power, and the magnificence. We understand the inner workings and know that no matter what happens nothing can destroy that which came out of us. It is forever a part of us. When we share it with the world, we do so because we want to share the love that we have in this particular way. We are an expression of God. We are the fruition of God’s desire to share love with the world. We sometimes have a hard time imagining this kind of favor because our experience of love is that of a child’s Christmas toy. We get excited at the idea of it, we plead for it ,and when it comes it is wonderful. But within a little while it loses its novelty and we are not able to see its magnificence because it has become familiar. God’s favor does not dwindle because God is always in the moment and in this moment we are new and novel to him. My prayer for us today is that we be with the experience of something that is new to us and take in the taste of being in favor of it. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen
Be With Dignity!
God Almighty designed all that is with the imprint of LOVE. This way at the end of the story of life when all is said and done, LOVE would still stand. We are part of God’s eternal love story. We play a vital role in the story of God’s love. In fact, the story cannot be played out if we do not show up. We are made in the image and likeness of our creator and our life’s journey is about recognizing that dignity within ourselves and each other. The world we live in spends a lot of energy pointing out our differences. These differences are so obvious to our eyes that we go along without questioning it. Yes, we appear different in physical form, that is true. Our true dignity comes in recognizing who we are at our core and resting in that similarity. When we claim that dignity of self, we can more easily walk the path of love and forgiveness that God has designed for us. I have spent a lifetime noticing and acting out of a need to be approved by others. I thought for sure that if only I did as they asked or wanted then I would be deemed worthy enough to take up space on this planet. All the while God was whispering in my heart that the dignity I was seeking was already present for me. Only when I had exhausted this push for outside approval, did I slow down long enough to begin to listen to the voice of God in my heart. This voice reminds me at every turn that my dignity is based on the love of my creator which never falters. My prayer for us today is that we be willing to trust that still quiet voice in our hearts. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen
Be With Stirring!
The Great Spirit calls upon our hearts to remember who we truly are. When we sense the presence of love it in its truest form we cannot help but be moved by it. There is a stirring that exists in our hearts and when we are quiet enough to pause and notice it, it resounds with a memory of our own creation from love. It is this stirring that when first notice seems disturbing to us. So often we try to quiet it by taking on something outside of ourselves. We don’t know what to make of the questions that our hearts are asking. We don’t know to do with the ideas that our minds use to make sense of something beyond the mind. Then we falsely assume that these things outside of us that may temporarily quiet the stirring mean they are the answer. But the only one that can truly quiet the stirring is the One that placed it in us in the beginning. The world cannot calm the stirring, nor is it meant to. The rousing of our spirits are meant to wake us up from the illusion that our ego has built on top of our hearts. But we do not have to operate through life with the veil over our eyes. We can take God up on the invitation to wake up. My prayer for us today is that we not try to cover up the stirrings but sit quietly with them and listen to the whispers of love that they are tapping on our hearts. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen
Be With Imagination!
The Great Spirit calls upon each of us to use the gift we have been given. They play an integral part in the plan of remembering love for the world to stay connected. God wants us to be in the space where we remember always how much we are loved and cherished. It is hard to see that when what we face at any given moment is perhaps a message to the contrary. But then God would ask us to question the messenger. God’s message is always clear and ever consistent. We sometimes lack the imagination to conceive of the idea that God would think differently than us. We got so convinced of the narrative that runs repetitively through our heads that we start to believe it simply because we forget to look or imagine something else. God pops up in unexpected and magnificent ways to get our attention, laugh at ourselves, and remind us that when we don’t get what we expect it is a good thing. I used to think that if everything turned out the way I had hoped it would that I would be safe because I would know. God has done a number on me over the years so much so that I gratefully find myself looking forward to the questions that are not answered and the unknowns that lie ahead. God only asks that I rely on him and keep imagining, questioning, and learning to love. My prayer for us today is that when we encounter an unknown we look to our imagination instead of our knowing to take the next step. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen
