In the Universe of the Grand Designer there exists an assurance of all things LOVE. In the mind of God the only thing that exists is love. Everything else is an illusion. God calls upon us to assert the same understanding of reality. This comes from drawing closer to God and closer to our true essence. It is a call to let go of anything that is not the truth of who we are. We take on these elements to deal with particular circumstances in our lives. Then the incident ends and we are left with a decision to either incorporate it or let it go. In a world where our ego looks for identification it is easy to see why we become attached to our stories. The easiest way for me to step out of confusion about who I truly am is to simply ask God: Show me what you want me to learn about love in this situation and remind me that I am more than what I am experiencing. At the end of the day I simply want to be clear and know with courage that I am a child of God and I am safe. To be able to assert that for myself with the courage of my own heart and voice is the greatest gift of freedom that there is. To live a life where I no longer believe that I am a victim of circumstance is priceless. My prayer for us today is that we be open to how God is asserting for us the truth of who we are through our experience instead of believing the lie of who we are from the experience. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen
Be With Assertion!
Be With Ignition!
God is the Ignition of Love! God is the light of the fire that lives within your soul. God is the spark of light that wakes you up to remember who you truly are. Yes, God speaks to us from this small quiet voice that often gets over crowded by the noise in our heads and of our world. At the same time, God is the splattering of colors seen across the sky at sunset. God is the majesty of the waves that come crashing onto the shore, the lighting that strikes in the sky, and the power of your heart that wants to leap out of your chest when you see your beloved. God cannot be defined by our thinking. As Meister Eckhart teaches, once we think we know God we do not know God. It is not for us to define God but to be open to how God will reveal The Great I AM in the moment. My constant prayer is: Awaken me to how you are present in this moment. Help me to see what I am not able to see with my eyes. Allow my spirit to be in alignment with Your presence right here, right now. It is easy for us to confine our experience of God by our limited human mind but to be ignited by God as God chooses to be revealed is to live in the moment and be lit up from the inside. My prayer for us today is that we be open to how God might choose to be present in the moment in ways that we never imagined. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen
Be With Sadness!
God equipped us with a whole myriad of energetic experiences known as emotions. They occur as a result of an attachment to a particular thought that we focus on. This bundle of energy then creates an emotion–energy in motion that we experience as happiness, sadness, fear, anger, joy, etc. We experience them in mind and body. Somewhere along the way we made the decision that some feelings were good and others were bad. It may have something to do with the fact that the energy level created by certain emotions is more vibrant than others. I literally feel freer when I am feeling joy versus sadness. I feel less bogged down when I am angry versus depressed. However, the moment that I make the decision that one emotion is okay and the other is not I lose my freedom to express it and release it. Sadness is one of those that is sometimes difficult to allow. Somehow I got the message that sadness or anger was not okay unless of course it was justified. But sadness and anger are a part of grief which is a process of letting go which is part of life. Therefore to deny sadness or any energy in motion is to deny part of life. Sadness or any emotion is not good or bad or right or wrong, it is simply an indication of a presence of energy and something to take a look at. Whenever I am experiencing any of the “negative” emotions that I have adapted judgment towards I ask God for the courage to feel and release them. This is the only way that I know not to stifle or stuff the energy. What I have discovered over the years is that when I allow myself the opportunity to feel and ultimately release the undesirable emotions, there is more room for the desirable ones. My prayer for us today is that we be open to allowing whatever energy in motion we are experiencing to be present and flow through us. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen
Be With Spice!
When the Master of Intelligence created us we were each given a series of gifts and characteristics that would best enable us to be the messengers of love that we are called to be. We are designed to bring the message of God (LOVE) to the world in a unique fashion. It is not up to us to worry or fret about how we do that, only be willing to do it. Some of us are called in grand and majestic demonstrations but all of us are called in the simple yet very important day-to-day. When I look back on my walk with God, it is the tender moments where I felt God showed up in flavorful ways that I was most touched. It was in the scent of the flower, the rain drop on my nose, the smile from a stranger, the cool breeze on a hot day, the forgiveness of a friend, or one left of the item on the shelf, etc. The list is endless. We bring that same gift of simple signs of love to the world. We never know when our smile, forgiveness, word of kindness, letting someone go ahead of us in line, pausing from saying something negative or showing up creates a miracle of an experience for someone else. It does not matter that we know how we do it, only that we be willing to be the message. So little of it is in what we say, it is who we are being. Our being our true selves allows us to spice up life for ourselves and those around us because we each bring our own individual flavor to the situation. God calls us to be present in our lives because we are the needed ingredient. My prayer for us today is that we be willing to add some spice to life by being who we are. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen

Be With Principle!
God is clear. God is transparent. God is certain. When we find ourselves mulling about and lost we can turn to Our Creator for the clarity and certainty that we seek. We think it will come from the world. We think we can depend upon a particular role, idea, or institution for our certainty. It is only when those roles, ideas, or institutions break down and are not able to support us that we begin to look elsewhere. If we are lucky, we begin to look to something greater than ourselves. We take the opportunity to get quiet and find out what the principles of life are that exist within us. We discover that God which is our true certainty is not hiding in the shadows as we may have thought. God is clearly and strongly rooted in the deepest part of ourselves. It is then that the breakdown which seems insurmountable becomes the breakthrough. It has been hard to let go of ideas, roles, and institutions over the years that I relied upon growing up to provide the safety and certainty that I craved. But when they proved themselves to be less than the principles for which they stood I realized I could no longer align myself with them and be my best self. My reliance upon the principle of God is the only thing that allows me to live and breathe and be authentic. It is this process of growing up and creating a new relationship with myself and then with those roles, ideas, and institutions that I find peace. My prayer for us today is that we be willing to let go of those things outside of ourselves that we look to for certainty and pause and look within to find the true principle of our lives which is God. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen
Be With Enchantment!
We live in a world designed out of love for the purpose of creating experiences of drawing closer and closer to that same love that is in the core of who we are. The Great Creator wanted to share the LOVE that is. The Spirit of Life loves so much that it could not help but extend itself through creation. When we tap into that connection of Spirit then we are aligned with that same infinite power of love. We live in a universe that is designed to get our souls and our spirits to remember who we truly are. Therefore we have experiences that wake us up from the illusion of our physical reality as being all that there is. These wake-up calls may seem abrupt or even jarring, kind of like and alarm clock, but they are our greatest gift. When I was in the throes of my addiction and self-destruction I was so entrenched in the ideas of my physical ego. It was in that space that I experienced hopelessness and a darkness that I would not wish on anyone. And yet, at the same time I had a spiritual practice and a relationship with God. That relationship was on my terms. I decided what I thought God could and could not handle about my life. I was convinced that my experiences which had been a lack of love defined who I was, not the truth of the Great Spirit. Even today after many years of being in the understanding and reliance of God in all things, there are still areas that I forget to include God in. It is always an opportunity for growth. Today, thankfully, I experience an enchanted relationship with God because I gave up trying to be someone whom God approved. In the midst of my wake-up call I realized that God had already approved of me which is why I was alive. Each breath I was given was a sign that I was meant to be here. When I became willing to let go that I knew how God worked and recognized that God did not think as I did about me or anything, I found the magic. God delights in all that God created. God looks forward to us waking up to the enchanted world in which we remember that the LOVE from which we were created is all that is. My prayer for us today is that we be willing to let go of any ideas that we have of God and be enchanted by the power of LOVE. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen
Be With Honor!
God claims responsibility for his/her handiwork. The Magnificent Creator of All That Is stands before us as the designer of life and love and says this is who I AM in every living thing that exists. God does not apologize for being God. God does not take responsibility for things that are not his/hers. God does not shrink or pretend to be anything less that what God is. All of the master spiritual teaches past and present have demonstrated the same behavior. They stood with respect and full authority and spoke from their hearts. They did not apologize for their representation or description of the God that worked through them. They were the messengers of God’s love in their particular fashion. God calls upon us to do the same. God honors us with the role of messenger of love in the unique way that we can convey it. To be pretend to be anything less than this messenger is to dishonor the message. We did not originate All That Is. We did not design all things with love. We can only live and speak to the experience of LOVE that we know. If it has come to us through trial then we can share that message. If it has come to us with ease, we share that. Life is a process of remembering the LOVE that we are and letting go of all the stories that we have placed on top of that essence of love. Then we are able to honor that from which we were created and convey it in our own fashion with the message of our life and our word. Over 20 years ago a priest that I worked with shared a prayer with the congregation that I pray out each day: Holy Spirit, show me what to do, tell me what to say, and use me as you will. For me it is a simple acknowledgment that I want my life to be the message of LOVE that I AM. I recognize that I do not know what that looks like today, but I know that it will come through my authentic self of the Spirit alive in me. My prayer for us today is that we be open to how we can honor who WE ARE in LOVE and convey that message in our own unique fashion. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen
Be With Fascination!
God our Creator took extra special care in the design of all creation. When we look at how everything that exists has been intricately thought of down to the molecule we become present to the reality of this care. Often times we pay attention to the outer exterior of things but there is so much more going on that we do not see with our eyes. Everything is energy and these waves of energy are transmitting information and communicating with each other on a level that requires either a highly trained machine or a focused mind to notice. If you have ever been in a room full of people and noticed an overall feeling that existed you picked up on the joined energetic wave that existed. When people’s intentions are lined up for a common purpose their energy levels are joined and the ripple effect is powerful. If we start to pay attention to more than what our eyes are seeing or ears are hearing we will pick up on the subtle energies that exist. Being present to them creates a fascination of life and others. We see things new because we are not relying on the same given set of senses to tell us what is going on. It is like being the scientist who is observing the flow of energy. The detachment from the form of what is happening also allows us to be present in spirit as well as mind and heart. God is fascinated always by the movement of the energy created. God invites us to see past the obvious and share in the fascination. To see with new eyes, to recognize the oneness and subtleties of our natures so that we can work in cooperation with one another. Often I pray: God, help me to see as You see. I am asking to go beyond what my five senses are perceiving and be present to the fascinating nature of which I am a part. My prayer for us today is the willingness to let go of what we normally hold on to for our perception of reality and ask God to share in the fascination of all of life. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen
Be With Nature!
Nature is God’s playbook. Nature is the map of how things are designed untouched. Nature is the living out of the essence of all that is. Nature is beauty, life, consistent, uninterrupted, and a model for how life goes. Nature can be our go to when we lose our way. We do not have to go very far to see and experience how life is designed. We can look a tree, step out onto the shore, spend time in a garden, or watch a sunset. There is never a short supply of examples of how life works in nature. Sometimes we get off track. We think we know better and start to push and force our way through life. We insist on having our way, we are disappointed that things are not working out the way we want them to, we feel stuck and disconnected. Often this happens when we have lost our connection to our own true nature. We can quickly bring ourselves back by opening our eyes to what God has provided all around us as models of who we are and how to be. When I watch the waves on the shore I remember that life flows in and out. Standing next to a tree I see that it is firmly grounded in its roots and that allows it to be stable despite how the wind blows. Being in a garden I notice the beauty and the variety that exists in all stages. I still remember the day I visited Yosemite despite having one of the worst migraines ever. I walked around in complete awe of the still and overflowing beauty that existed. I stopped and asked God “Why is it so important for me to be here?” (the various plans that were in place had all pretty much fallen apart, but I decided to go anyway). If God were to have a literal voice, the response I “heard” was “I wanted you to see one of my other beauties.” Upon hearing that I cried. Just the idea that God saw me as having equal beauty to such a magnificent place blew me away. I responded with great humility, “Thank you. Thank you for bringing me here today.” My prayer for us today is that we be open to learning what we can about our true God-given nature by opening our eyes for just a moment to the simplicity, beauty and way of nature that is around us all the time. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen
Be With All!
The Greatest Existence of Being is All That Is. Our Creator lives within each of that which was created out of love. When we step into the realm of understanding and accepting life on life’s terms we discover a magic quality of connection that exists between all things. Our ego mind is constantly pointing out to us where we are different and separate. This way it can allow us to function on the limited resources of what we can provide. Then we think we will never get hurt or be disappointed because we are not relying on other people. That false sentiment only leads to misery–trust me, I tried to live by it for a long time. I thought guarding my heart was the best way to protect myself. Today I put my heart under the care and watch of God whom is my safekeeping. From there I can live freely because my heart is aligned with All That Is. When we acknowledge that we are part of the greater whole, our world opens up. When we see that we are all one we step into an experience of limitless resources. It is hard sometimes to wrap our head around it when we rely only upon our eyes to tell us of our existence. But our eyes only tell the story of our physical/material existence. We are also mental, emotional, and spiritual. Have you ever noticed that when people cry the same thing happens to them as to you, no matter their skin color, gender, economic status, or age? Did you know that when one person touches another in a loving way, their blood pressure lowers and their breath regulates? We cannot escape that we are ALL part of the same creation. Sometimes we surprise even ourselves. As much as we might fight our connection to each other, our hearts and our spirits know the truth of being all one. My prayer for us today is that we be open to seeing past what our eyes see as our differences and look with our hearts to the connection between us all. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen
