Sharing my experiences and understandings of the Great I AM.

Be Of Atonement!

God cleanses.  There are many twists and turns that we choose and they take us down paths, some dark, some light.  It is not about always doing it right. It is about owning our choices and deciding if we need to amend something along the way.  Making changes to patterns is difficult  because we think we are the decisions we make.  Our choices are extensions of our reality at the time we make them.  We can only decide with the information we have at the time.  If we learn more later, we can amend our choices and go down a different path.  Allowing for each other to be in an experience of learning and growing throughout our lives is a beautiful gift of acceptance towards ourselves and others.  God always rejoices in our growth.  God knows that when we make amends we are breaking free of patterns and ways of being that no longer serve us.
My prayer for us is the courage to look at our lives and choose where we want to made amends and change the course of our path today.
If God accepts our willingness to change as a sign of love and growth, how might you approach making an amends in your life today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Refreshing!

God redeems. We awaken into the life we are living today when we realize that we are not what we think we are.  Who we are is much greater than the accumulation of our experiences.  We are not our history.  We are not our future.  We are in this moment the totality of everything we need to be and can be.  God did not design us to live in shame and fear.  God did not create life to engender the experience of limitation. These are all constructs of the physical world we live in.  When we are entrenched in the patterns and it is hard for us to see anything but them.  We are not to blame for falling into the beliefs of this limited thinking and being.  We are given wake up calls which come in all shapes and sizes, and give us a chance to refresh our minds.  Most of my wake up calls have been painful.  But I realize after some time on the other side of them, they were only painful because I was stepping into the unknown and I was afraid of letting go of who I thought I was. I could not have done it on my own.  It is amazing the amount of pain and shame I accepted as my lot in life.  I professed belief in a God that was none of those things but had no clue had to integrate that belief into my life.  When I found myself on my knees with nowhere else to go than facing the pain, my refreshing experience began.  It was not easy, but it was and continues to be simple.  I refresh my mind by keeping my eyes on God.
My prayer for us is the willingness to welcome in the seemingly harsh experience of a refresh into our lives today.
God designed us to experience unlimited possibilities, what refreshing opportunities are you open to experiencing in your life today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Entirety!

God is complete.  As children of an almighty creator we are designed whole and complete.  The essential part of ourselves comes already to go. Growing and connecting to that wholeness is our life long journey.  Our confidence and reliance upon the belief of the realness of our wholeness is the hope that guides us through the rough waters on our journey.  As I have become willing to accept myself entirely it has been easier to move forward in love.  The more I hold things about myself that I do not like with judgment or dissatisfaction, the more difficult it is to be with myself completely.  Embracing the entirety of myself and others is a God job.  My part is being willing to see myself and others and as God does.
My prayer for us is the courage to ask for help in seeing the entirety of others and ourselves from God’s perspective today.
God designed us entirely, what part of yourself might you be willing to see from God’s eyes of entire love in you today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Mind!

God is. Being is about presence.  Being is about living.  Being is about breathing. Walking day by day in my relationship with God is a reminder and an invitation to be aware.  We seek to understand our world from our mind’s perspective but what about all the waves of energy that move back and forth from our hearts?  The energy that cannot be measured by the naked eye is detected by the mind of heart. It is in this reality of our heart minds that God placed our blue print of love.  If we are guided from this space we can inform our intellectual mind with a soundness of being that creates peace internally and externally.  Going to the places and space in our lives that lack peace can only be done from a mind of love.  This is where I grasp God’s hand because I need to know I am not alone as I venture into the spaces of my heart that have gotten disconnected from the mind of love.  God show me where you are in this?  Help me to see the love that I do not see here.

My prayer for us is the courage to trust that within our heart mind’s is a space of love connected to All That Is and can guide us to a place of peace today.
If God designed us with a mind of love built into our hearts,  what does you spending some time in your heart mind look like today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Synthesis!

God unites. The world we live in focuses a lot on all the distinctions and separations.  Our minds do the same thing.  It is our tendency as human beings to see things as either or, black and white, all or nothing.  We categorize so that we can simplify.  Our brains are searching for the easiest explanation and the most immediate solution.  This is very helpful when assessing dangerous situations and reacting to life or death decisions. This is not so helpful when it comes to interacting with others in our families or at work.  If we are constantly drawn to what is different then it is all we see.  A situation with a new colleague in the office is not a life or death matter, but the part of our brain that works to identify anything that might threaten its safety does not see it that way.  Different is genetically and anthropologically not safe.  We live in a very diverse world and are in constant contact with that which our brain would identify as other.  In my daily prayer and meditation date with God I learn to accept the different parts of myself.  I develop the capacity to observe where my mind wants to go with a judgment and see it for the survival mechanism that it is.  It is not about making it go away it is about synthesizing it into the whole spectrum that makes me who I am.  It is an area where I can continually grow.  It causes me to question myself and God if that element of my way of being is helpful in various situations throughout the day.  Can I synthesize these opposites that I am perceiving in myself and those around me so that I can love more?

My prayer for us is the courage to face the lack of synthesis in our lives and accept it as part of our make-up that we have the opportunity to observe and perhaps choose otherwise today.
If God designed our minds to see differences, would not God provide us with the tools to synthesize those differences within ourselves and others?  What in your life would you like to synthesize today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Ideas!

God creates. We are gifted with tremendous capacity to create because we are made in the likeness and image of our Creator.  We began as an idea in the mind of God.  An idea to proliferate the energy and vibration of love in as many ways and places as possible and as more than possible.  When I reflect on the unfathomable graciousness of God’s love and attention for me I get only a taste of what it means to hold an idea with preciousness into creation.  I cannot create to the extent that God does but I can allow God’s ideas to move through me.  Each time I choose to focus on love and forgiveness I further the creation of God.  It also creates more of those in my life.  It is not about avoiding the opposite kinds of ideas but recognizing that they are a call to love in a way I had not yet conceived of.  Why would God create all the various feelings and experiences if they were not all valid?  My role in relationship with God is to bring them to God and ask, “What would you have me do with this idea?”  When I stay to long in a negative space or find myself hurting myself or someone else with a negative idea, I grab God’s hand and ask, “How do you see this?  Where is the love in this?”  It always comes back to the choice to bring my ideas to God and ask what role in plays in my life as a tenderly loved and adored child of my Creator.
My prayer for us is the willingness to check out our ideas with the Great Idea Maker today.
If God designed us to create with our ideas, would you be willing to check with God to see if your idea is in alignment with God’s loving view of you today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Stay!

God remains.  When all else is said and done God is always there.  It matters little to God how often we stray or how far we stray.  In the end it is Eternal Hope that we choose to come back and stay.  All we will ever need can be found on our path with God. We may need for a time to look elsewhere just to make sure and then return to stay with a full heart.  My experience has taught me that the time I spent in distance from God also correlated to the disconnect in my own heart. Upon my return God never asked where I had been or why it took me so long to want to come and stay.  God simply reached out and accepted my hand. God’s hand offered a restoration of my heart resulting in a clearer vision of the path of love.  As a result, my heart was willing to be opened and healed, I find I long to stay more and more time on the path of the One who designed the way of my heart and my life.
My prayer for us is the courage to search within our hearts and find the presence of God which make us want to stay today.
If God is patient enough to watch us grow and learn, how might you be willing to keep searching for the path of love that makes you want to stay with your heart today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Frankness!

God is whole.  We are returned to the truth of who we are when we embrace the God of our hearts. Our authenticity lies in our willingness to be frank with ourselves about our own truth.  It is not so much about declaring it to the world but claiming it for ourselves.  I spent the first part of my life hiding behind the expectations of others.  Here and there I would let my true self slip out but always guarded.  I thought this would bring me the sense of safety I longed for.  And it did, until it didn’t. The day I woke up and realized that the very thing that was saving me had turned into killing me was the day I could no longer lie to myself let alone others.  Coming to terms with the truth of who I am has been a long and winding road and one that will continue for my whole life.  My goal is to be frank enough with myself and with God so that each day I can hold my head high and keep it in alignment with my heart.  I am willing, one day at a time to discover the truth of my heart and live from there.
My prayer for us is the courage to explore what it means to be frank with ourselves about where we are living from today.
If God accepts us fully as whole and complete, how might you be wiling to be frank with yourself about the truth of who you are in your heart today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Here!

God is now. The mysteries of God will continue to grow and expand the closer we get to solving them.  God is not a math problem to figure out. God is not a design to be detected.  God is about presence in the here and now moments.  Living a life in relationship with our Creator calls us to be open to the fascinating way love shows up in the moment we are in.  Right here, right now is where God is, always.  We miss it if we are busy somewhere else in our minds.  Thankfully God embodies an ever-generous nature which provides another present moment and a chance to be right here right after this one.  We get as many chances as we are willing to take to be present in the here and now where love is made manifest.  It will never show up in this exact way again.  If we want to be open to seeing and experiencing God in all the possible facets and ways of being, we have to be willing to be in this moment.  Several times this past week I noticed acutely when I would leave the moment I was in.  Whether it was someone telling me something and I realized I stopped listening or letting my mind wander in traffic.   I am grateful for the acute awareness but it is humbling to realize how many now moments I miss out on because I go somewhere else in my head.  There was a time in my life when it served me well and probably saved my life to escape the present moment. But today I am adult woman who longs to be with God as often as possible.  The full experience of God’s loving present is most fully felt right here, no other time.
My prayer for us is the courage to let go of wherever else our head wants to take us and allow our hearts to lead us to right here to experience the gift of love as many times as we can stand it today.
If God is with us most fully when we are where we are right here and now, are you willing to take as many chances as you can to be present to love right here and now today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Liberty!

God is freedom.  Before I earnestly sought out to create a relationship with God my understanding of freedom was limited.  It was a conceptual understanding in my head about an experience usually attached with a national identification or a mantra said at school every morning.  I spent my life feeling trapped and inhibited personally, mentally, and emotionally.  I had moments of breaking free and being myself but that was often met with skepticism and disdain   No wonder personal liberty remained something they wrote about in the constitution.  As I embarked on my daily prayer and meditation dates I was continually led to people and experiences that broadened my horizons.  I began to get to know God in different forms and myself.  Day by day my sense of liberty went from conceptual to experiential. What I did not understand is that liberty must be lived and breathed.  It is a choice.  A choice to believe that no matter my outside circumstances God has built within me the capacity for the freedom of love.  In my relationship with God, even if nowhere else, I can explore my personal spiritual, physical, emotional and intellectual liberty.  In doing so I am able to embrace the liberties inherent in the existence of everyone else as they are also a child of God.  There is nothing more liberating than giving yourself the permission to be yourself and doing the same for others.
My prayer for us is the courage to look upon a relationship with God as a portal to our own personal liberty that is inherent in love today.
If God designed us to be free to love and be loved, how might you be willing to meet God and explore your liberty today?  Share in the comments.
