Sharing my experiences and understandings of the Great I AM.

Be Of Mysticism!

God marvels.  As I wake up and prepare myself for my daily meditation date with God there is a hint of excitement and wonder as to what will come of my day as I begin it with this ritual. The experience of having time each day at the beginning to just be still feels new even after all these years of doing it.  I marvel at how God continually meets to welcome me with love.  I am amazed at my ability to accept it when some days my head seems very clouded with many thoughts or I fall asleep during our time together.  I am thankful that these dates are as much about me showing up for myself as they are about meeting God.  There are days when I feel disconnected from both God and myself but the commitment to the practice lives out its intention and definition of practice because I do it anyway.  It is a mystical experience to participate in something that has no physical measurement and yet know it is the very thing that has altered the course of my life in beautiful and profound ways.  It is a hope that there is always more going on than what meets the eye.

My prayer for us is a way to incorporate a time of stillness for ourselves and an openness to the mystic nature of life today.
If God marvelously oversees the realm of the mystical, how much time might you be willing to give to experiencing mysticism in your life today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Glee!

God giggles.  One of the things I miss the most from childhood are fits of giggles.  Maybe its a uniquely girl thing but I remember times with my sister and my friends when we get an attack of giggles that we could not stop.  Strangely it was rarely at an appropriate time and would get us into trouble.  There is just something about life sometimes that you cannot help but laugh about.  It is unfortunate that as adults we are discouraged from these kinds of moments of glee.  In fact, if we find ourselves behaving this way, we chide each other to grow up and get a grip.  Why?  What’s wrong with laughing so hard your belly hurts?  But glee is more than just giggles.  It is a sign of delight in life.  It is a recognition of the wonderment and mystery.  Laughter relaxes us and reminds us to be in the present.  It is no mystery that laughter causes you to take in fresh oxygen and expel energy.  Sometimes a moment of glee whether in giggles or bursts of joy is exactly the thing that reminds us to be present in love.
My prayer for us is the willingness to engage our bodies, hearts and minds in a moment of glee today.

If God is gleeful, what might you be open to seeing as an element of glee in your life today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Sincerity!

God is integral. In our wholeness we are the most sincere expression of love.  God created us in this manner because love must come from a place of truth.  We all have come across someone who seemed insincere.  We have all had times when we were not sincere with ourselves or others.  We sometimes struggle with determining if what we are doing or saying is coming from the truth of who we are or something we have adopted because it was expected.  The drive to survive is deep within us.  Equally deep within us is the everlasting presence of love.  When they are in alignment with one another we are able to love with sincerity.  Remembering that love is the essence of who we are and it will support our survival on all levels, takes the burden of having to fight for our survival.  God did not create us to struggle to find love.  God invites us at every possible moment to open our eyes and our hearts to the presence of love within our own hearts.  It has been here all along and we can no more erase it within us than we can undo God.  My daily meditation dates with God have provided moments of getting in touch with the presence of love in and around me even when I least expect it.  When I get quiet and sense the presence of God with me no matter what, I can let go and trust. It is not easy, but it is simple.  Letting go and trusting in the most sincere fashion starts with being honest with God.  I tell God, I am scared and I don’t trust, please help me to see the love you have placed within me and around me.  Lord, all I know how to do is struggle and fight with this experience and this way of thinking, help unblock my mind and my heart so I am able to see the presence of love.  It is my hope and my experience that this sincerity draws God even closer.

My prayer for us is the courage to sincerely express where we are in the moment to God and see what happens today.
If God longs to reach us where we are, how can you sincerely express to God where you need to be met with love today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Sacredness!

God is holy.  Therefore everything God creates is holy.  God created everything. The key to understanding where we come from is not by analyzing the empirical evidence placed before us.  We are gifted with a sight that is more than just what we can see with our eyes.  If we draw into our hearts we notice a presence available to us when we are present to a person, event, or experience.  What we are noticing is the sacred nature of the experience.  It is not something we necessarily see with our eyes but it is there when we put on our God glasses.  Life takes on new meaning and we find we can connect on a deeper level.  We know we are sight of the sacred when we are aware of God’s presence in a thought, an experience, a person or ourselves.
My prayer for us is the courage to lead from our hearts that recognize the sacredness in all of our lives today.
If God made us all and God is holy, what might you now be able to see as sacred in your life that previously did not appear as sacred?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Honoring!

God values.  We have many choices in the course of a lifetime.  Many of these seem to be laid out for us because of the little choices we make along the way.  As we make these little decisions they set the course for what we may encounter as we get further down the road of life.  It is important, therefore to pay attention to which choices honor the truth of who we are.  Each decision on the road of life is an opportunity to live out the truth of who we are. We can honor ourselves and others as the gifts of God we are or we can choose to not honor ourselves as gifts.  It does not mean we need to be afraid of making a wrong decision or a mistake.  It is not a good versus bad situation. It is the recognition of the value we place on honoring the truth of who we are in God.  Each choice can either lead us closer or further away and it is our choice to make.
My prayer for us is the willingness to keep in mind the truth of who we are as we have the opportunity to make choices that honor ourselves and other today.
If God values us, how might you be able to honor the truth of yourself as a gift in the decisions you make today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Gratification!

God delights. Living in the light of truth affords us the perspective of joy in unexpected moments and experiences.  My daily meditation dates with God are an opportunity to remember the role of light in my own essence as an extension of God.  When I go into my day with this remembrance in the forefront of my mind it is what underlies my thoughts, feelings and actions.  I find myself able to enjoy the experience of being alive.  Happenstance occurrences seem divinely inspired.  I see a friend in an unexpected place, someone lets me through in traffic, a smile from a stranger, and I feel a connection in my heart when I see someone in pain. There is a gratification in my life having a purpose beyond just the day-to-day.  Even the simple routines of living hold fascination.  It may sound like having rose-colored glasses, but it is not as though I only see the good and am blind to the suffering and pain.  I see it all in the light of a loving God who is with us all no matter what we are going through.  There is a sense of trust that things are happening as they should and my role is to show up with a gratified and open heart.
My prayer for us is the courage to be open to a sense of gratification that is our natural state when we are able to trust in God today.
If God has a plan for our lives and delights in us every moment that we breathe, how might you begin to feel a sense of gratification for your life today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Fullness!

God enhances.  A complete living experience is about being present as much as possible with what is.  Given that our minds easily focus on the possible problems so as to avoid danger.  But life is more than avoiding danger despite what our heads tell us.  There is a completeness to living in relationship with God that we will not find in the physical world, yet we can make the connection in our physical experience.  I know when I am present to the moment in which I am there are gems to be seen.  The world holds a certain sparkle.  There is a fullness and completeness about the moment and time seems to stand still.  Just the other day I was in the grocery line and the person in front of me turned my direction and smiled.  What a beautiful gift of loving presence.  In that moment there was nothing going on but the smile on his face and the kind energy behind it.  I was captivated.  God is like that with us.  We can have these full moments of love when we open our eyes and most importantly the eyes of our heart to the presence of love in whatever form in the moment we are in.
My prayer for us is the courage to open the eyes of our heart and witness the fullness of love in the moments we are in today.
If God knows what will fill our hearts, how can you attune your eyes to be open to the fullness of love in your present moments today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Disclosure!

God is relevant. Walking in relationship with God invites us to look at elements of ourselves that we would rather keep hidden.  God acknowledges the fear we have at disclosing ourselves but knows it is our freedom that lies on the other side of disclosure.  God offers a hand to walk us through whatever we think is the hidden and shines the light of love.  God recognizes that the hidden dark elements of ourselves are simply cries for love.  God hears those cries and will not let them go unnoticed.  The invitation for disclosure is about the integration of love towards a fuller experience of living.  This fullness of love allows the light to penetrate the dark elements so they may receive the love they need and be transformed by the light of love.
My prayer for us is the courage to disclose that which is seemingly hidden to God and witness the power of light and love in our lives today.
If God wants us to experience the fullness of the light of love, what dark element are you willing to disclose to yourself and God as crying out for love today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Veracity!

God is true.  We are honoring ourselves when we can acknowledge the truth of who we are.  We also honor God and others when we stop pretending to be something we are not.  Our veracity keeps us in connection with the One Truth of life.  The truth of love.  I always thought that if I got really good at doing what was expected of me I would be safe enough, okay enough, or approved of enough.  But I was looking to the wrong source for my enoughness.  My true being enough comes from my Creator.  In the embrace of God I am able to look at myself in the mirror and begin to acknowledge the truth of who I am and not be afraid.  Day by day I can be open to how I show up in the world as the gift I am not the gift I think I should be or want to be.  The veracity of me was hiding behind my preconceived notions of others expectations.  God invites me each new breath to embrace the truth of my wholeness in all that I am this moment.
My prayer for us is the courage to embrace our veracity and live from it one day at a time.
If God designed us to show up as the truth of who we are at our core, how can God support you in the level of veracity you are today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Exposure!

God reveals.  There is nothing hidden with God.  When we find ourselves wondering where God is, the real question is more likely what are we not seeing?  When I feel like God has disappeared, I have to be willing to begin to look for God in a different way.  God exposes loves on all levels and all forms.  If I am looking at something and see no element of love in it, I have lost my true sight.  It usually occurs when I have a fixed notion of what is going to happen.  I think there is a certainty of how love will show up and it doesn’t.  I hold back from being open to love in a new way because I fear it will expose me as a fool.  When I look back on my life on the times I was a fool for love and while my ego was bruised, I don’t regret it.  I would rather chance being exposed on the search for love than stuck in my obscure world where loving isn’t showing itself.  God designed love as a flow.  If I am holding tight to my ideas, I am not in the flow of life.  In the end it is not the kind of exposure that my ego fears that draws me into love.  The exposure of love is a calling to expand the breadth and depth of our hearts and open the eyes of our soul in the moment.

My prayer for us is the courage to allow ourselves to let go of our ideas of love and experience the exposure of love outside of our thinking today.
If God is inviting you to stop obscuring love to your definition alone, what possibilities of exposure might you be willing to chance on today?  Share in the comments.
