Sharing my experiences and understandings of the Great I AM.

Be With Asking!

Within each one of us is the capacity to love far beyond what we conceive of love to be or do.  Within all of us we can shift our experience of life simply by a commitment to know more fully that capacity within us.  We are used to thinking of most things outside of ourselves. Our perception of what is outside of ourselves is a direct result of the lens through which we are seeing our world.  This is why when we are having a “bad” day things often seem to go from bad to worse.  This is why when we are thinking and focusing on the things in our lives that work and flow, we see more and more of that.  What we focus on expands.  Whatever lens we choose to see out of colors every element of our existence.  The power of the pause and the choice to direct our thinking and thus our feeling is within each one of us.  Life happens for us, not to us.  We are not victims of circumstance.  God did not design us to simply prod along hoping for a better outer experience.  God designed us to embark on a journey of discovery back to the essence of our hearts.  This journey can seem arduous and troublesome at times but it does not need to be taken alone. God is more than willing to walk with us and guide us if we ask.  My prayer for us today is that we be willing to ask God to guide our outer experience by showing us how to change our inner lens.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen

Be With Clasping!

God is always present. God is always with us. We just sometimes forget and think that we are all alone in this. All alone in whatever it is that we are dealing with. The reality is that we are never alone. Whenever I start thinking I am alone and have to figure it all out, all I have to do for a reality check is look around me. If I am alone how come I am surrounded by billions of people on this planet? Billions of people who were created from the same love that I am. Billions of people who are here because they are an expression of love to be shared with the world. It is easy to think we experience this in our own because we once had an experience that created that reality for us. However, at some point we must choose to either live in the present or continue to operate from the past. I have to turn to God and say please show me how to live right now-grasping the present instead of replaying a scene that happened a long time ago in my head over and over again. My prayer for us today is to grasp on to the present and let go of something that is no longer happening today. Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen

Be With Unknown!

Life is beautiful with its grand and detailed design.  It takes us a lifetime to even scratch the surface of what this life is about and of what we are capable.  The mystery lies in the exploration of the unknown.  This is where life can be enchanting and mysterious.  The unknown allows us to access our spiritual nature because it simply will not get the answers needed from our knowledge (the known).  The moment we step into the exploration of the unknown our old friend fear shows up.  Fear is based on the idea that our heads (ego, human identity, kid self–whatever your term) should have all the answers.  It is based on the survival mode of the brain that goes by programming already set in place.  The choice to live in the present means that we are willing to be in the unknown.  Our spirits are not afraid of what is not known because our spirits thrive in possibility.  Our spirits know that the universe is abundant and continually expanding with possibilities.  When we fear the unknown it is because we are living in a limited world.  My prayer for us today is that we ask God for the courage to be in the unknown and to take his hand on this path as our known to guide us.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen

Be With Awakeness!

Life is a long and winding road.  It has bends, dips, turns, hills up and down.  There are times when it is straight and we can see exactly what is ahead of us and other times when we can’t see around the next corner.  Do you ever notice that when the road is straight ahead and you can see what is in front of you that you can tune out and think about something else?  When there are constant curves you have to pay attention closely to the road because you don’t know what is around the next corner or bend.  There is a certain heightened feeling that comes from driving those bends and curves, hills and dips.  It is this awareness that wakes us up to what it means to be alive and fully present to what is going on in our lives. But we can choose to have that during the straight paths as well if we want.  It is an illusion that we know what is going to happen when we see the road straight in front of us because we never know what little bump might be there that we cannot see from afar, not to mention something that might jet out into the road.  You ever notice when you are on that straight path that when something unexpected pops up we get irritated unlike when on the curvy or expected unexpected part of the road we are not? Interesting isn’t it?  Maybe because we falsely rely on the idea that we are only in a physical world and we see the unexpected as simply a physical reality interruption.  God invites us to be present to all of our lives even the times when it looks like a straight line.  Not because we need to fear the unexpected but because there is a vast spiritual universe of experience that becomes present in the physical world if we are open to it.  When we take this path hand in hand with God we can open our hearts to the unexpected or “irritating” physical representations and all of life can be this time of openawakeness and opportunity to be fully present.  My prayer for us today is that we be willing to open up the car and let God in on our driven path today.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen

Are you willing to be aware during the straight road paths as you are in the winding today?  Share in the comments.

Be With Heart!

Love makes the world go round.  Love makes our world go round.  Love is what we were created from and for.  It is the life force that guides everything we are and can be.  Love heals all wounds and makes things new.  When we are separate from love it is because we have fallen under the illusion that something else is more important.  It is not a fairy tale, not just a feeling, and not something that dies. Love is the great connector and designer of oneness.  The easiest way for us to return to love is to connect with our hearts.  There is a reason why a common gesture of prayer or reverence in many religions and spiritual practices involves a hand to heart touch.  The quickest way to connect with one’s heart is to physically touch it.  It brings our minds attention to that part of our body and where our attention goes, our energy follows.  One of the best techniques I learned years ago to center myself when feeling distraught or unsure is to place my hand on my heart and take three long deep breaths. Every time without fail it clears away the fog and the fear and centers me.  We spend a lot of time in our heads and a lot of that time in our heads is not even in the present moment. By going to the head of our hearts we step into the now.  We become aligned to the rhythm of our hearts and get synced up with love so that we can get back on the round of life and live from our truest being.  My prayer for us today is that we be open to connecting with our hearts with the touch of our hand and igniting of breath which will connect us with each other.  Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen

Be With Expansion!

The Universe is constantly growing and expanding.  We are an integral part of a whole system that is constantly growing and expanding. Change is the norm. Growth and learning is who we are and what we are called to be in our aliveness.  So much for getting things done. You ever notice that when one thing gets “done” there is something else that pops up that needs to get “done.” So much for figuring things out so we don’t have to think about them anymore.  Those ideas are based in fear of change.  But if growth and expansion is what we are designed for, we have nothing to fear.  Learning and growing implies a trial and error experience. A dance back and forth to recognize what works and what doesn’t work.  There is no “wrong” way to do things other than to stop the cycle of which we are a part. Good luck with that.  It is kind of like asking the sun to stop shinning its rays of light on which we depend for life.  God calls us with each breath to engage in this dance of learning and expanding. God does not expect perfection but engages us with love and sees us as ones who learn and expand in love.  My prayer for us today is that we be open to expanding our hearts to learn about love in a new way with this new day.  Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen

Are you willing to let go of the idea that you “should” know how to do this life thing and open your heart to expand from a lesson in love today?  Share in the comments.

Be With Courage!

Within each one of us lies infinite possibilities.  Because we were designed by the maker of possibilities we become an extension of that reality. The reason we often don’t see that is because we have had experiences of limited possibilities.  Experiences in the physical world which does have limits and so we took that story on.  The difficulty in that however, is that it applied to our experience of that particular situation.  It is not a truth of the Universe.  Our minds have this survival quality that allows us to be able to function without a presence of mind.  It does this with our breathing, our walking, our driving.  Once something occurs physically for us our brain creates and imprint and a program and runs the program when that situation arises. This works well as it would be a long day if every time we needed to breathe we had to stop and tell our brain to breathe in and breathe out.  However, when it does this with an interaction in another situation which will not always be the same, it can create some difficulty.  Without even recognizing it we go to our old programming and unless we make an effort to consciously be present in the moment we are in, we get dragged to a moment from the past and act from there.  God calls us gently forth to be present with him in this moment. We are invited to experience it new and be present for the gifts that are to be garnered. God wants us right here, right now, because that is where God is made manifest.  To let go of the programming from a previous experience requires an intention and decision to be present to how it will occur right now.  My prayer for us today is that we have the courage to take God up on his offer to be present with him in this moment and receive the gifts that are being offered.  Make it a great one! Peace~Colleen

Be With Thanks!

Life is the sacred gift of blessing embedded into each breath in this moment.  The Great Spirit has designed us for an experience of love and truth.  In the physical world it does not often appear that way because we have created obstacles that prevent us from tapping into the reality of who we are.  These layers of misinformation formed in good conscience by our ego serve us until the pain of the lack of their truth does not.  Then we find ourselves lost and uncomfortable in the pain that we thought we once found comfort in.  This awakens us to the present and causes us to question what we thought we knew. The experience of this is spiritual in nature because the truth of who we are is calling us to claim it and in order to do that we must let go of the stories our ego helped us to create because we are ready to step into our truth.  The truth of who God created us to be and is willing to walk the path with us in our rediscovery of that true self.  Who we are at our core is not afraid to do this, our ego is because it is threatening the very life that it has created.  I am grateful for the stories and the layers that my ego created that helped me survive.  I am not sure I would be here otherwise.  I have learned however that with God by my side I can gratefully let that go in exchange for an experience of who I am in the present, not me based on a past experience.  It can be scary but I only have to do it a step at a time.  Any moment when I find myself wanting to run back to what I think I know, God stands firm and strong with the vision of who I AM and reminds me that I cannot go back even if I wanted because I have already started to wake up.  My prayer for us today is that we be willing to take God up on his offer to stand in the truth of our creation and let go of one old story or circumstance with thanks.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen

Be With Design!

The world in which we inhabit screams of the intricacies and design of our God, the Great Creator.  The intimacies of the design of nature alone is enough to scream the walking definition of Infinite Intelligence.  This is also the energy from which are created and designed.  God has put as much thought into every cell that forms our body as in the structure of the Grand Canyon or the kernel of sand oozing around your toes at the beach.  In God’s eyes it is all crucial to the experience of this day.  We are here for a reason.  The good news is that despite our best efforts to squash the Infinite Reality that lives within us, it cannot be squashed.  Who we are at our core eventually seeps its way out and connects with others. When we stop fighting the reality of who we truly are we can be at peace with ourselves.  It is not that we are afraid of how dark and terrible we are, it is the childish attribute of not wanting to take on the responsibility of owning the power that God has called us to step into.  We fear we cannot handle being our truest selves because we think we need face it on our own.  As if aligning with God will somehow cause us to be disconnected from our source of power.  The greatest thing we can do is be the instrument of God for ourselves and each other because it is the truest expression of our life’s purpose.  My prayer for us today is that we be willing stop at some point today and ask, how can I be the instrument of your peace this day?  And just notice what happens as we go through the day. Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen

Be With Grasping!

The limitless, timeless, shapeless, and vastness in which we are loved by our Creator is beyond our comprehensive.  Yet, it is the most basic in the essence of who we are as beings because it is who we are.  Once we begin to open the door to the possibility of allowing ourselves to experience this love our lives begin to change.  It is hard for our mind to conceive of this because it defies logic and understanding.  We all know it to be true in the deepest part of ourselves.  The key is to be willing to let go of all the things (ideas, concepts, beliefs) that we have built up around our heart.  While we may have created those things for safety or for dealing with the circumstances of our lives at the time they were not meant to be permanent.  Our ego latched on to them because it was much more understandable and something that could be grasped.  We could go our whole lives living in that shell and never breaking free but because God loves us, life has a way of waking us up.  These wake up calls which can sometimes seem earth shattering and devastating, end up being our gifts to freedom.  It is the breakdown that facilitates the breakthrough in which we can begin to recall who we are and by whom we are loved.  God spares no opportunity to invite us to return home to our hearts and truth of our spirits. I know that it has been in what seemed like some of the darkest times of my life when all I could do was call out to God.  Only in that space was I so open and willing to believe something other than the outer shell story I had created to survive. It is in those moments of willingness to reach beyond a desire to survive that I began to sing my heart’s song of living in the light of love for which I AM created.  It was not easy to let go, but it I only had to do it momentarily so that I could grasp the hand of my Creator.  My prayer for us today is that we be willing to see the pain of letting go as only temporary and the hand of God as open and ready to envelop us as the love that we are.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen
