One of our minds and our spirits great capability is that of reflection.  If we create for ourselves the possibility of learning and growing from our experience in this life, then reflection becomes an intimate part of that.  There is the mind’s reflection which often seems like flagellation and then there is the Spirit which allows us to see from a greater knowing.  Spirit asks us what about what happened caused us to grow in love?  What about the occurrence or situation will allow us to be more tolerant and patient in the future?  Recognizing where we have taken a turn did not serve our soul’s greater purpose is powerful.  Reflection offers the  us the space to stop and acknowledge our humanness and need for Spirit.  My prayer for us today is that we be willing to bring our Spirit into any reflection that our  mind wants us to take us on so it will serve our greater purpose of growing in love.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen

When we are living in the space of our Grand Design we find our greatest joy!  When we are being ourselves at the truest and purest form we cannot help but find delight and enchantment in our world and the world around us.  So how is that we often do not sense this pure enchantment or marvel at the gift of life?  Perhaps because we are looking to the world outside of us for the definition of happiness and contentment.  We live in a world that tells us if we have this or do that we will be happy.  However, sometimes we get those things are find ourselves lacking the fulfillment which we were seeking from our hearts in the first place.  We are working from our ego’s agenda of measuring up.  God does not need us to measure up.  God measured out the ingredients of who we are when we were created and they were enough.  It is up to us how we utilize those ingredients. While I cannot explain it, I know that when I am able to let go of my agenda for things and allow myself to be a channel or instrument of My Creator, I have a sense of true peace.  Somehow by God working through me I am not depleted of energy, but am energized.  Somehow by being the instrument and the channel for God’s will, life seems a little bit less tiresome and mundane.  My prayer for us today is that we be willing to try out being the conduit through which God can accomplish peace by letting go of our agenda for five minutes.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen

We have a profound gift that we are able to give each other.  It is the gift of presence.  When we are present with each other we say that we are encompassing all the miraculous energy that we are and choosing to be right here, right now. If we were to stop and recognize the magnificence of that gift we would be blown away.  It is easy to be distracted and to multitask, it takes courage to stop and honor the moment.  When we take the time to respect the miraculous gift of presence we acknowledge the power of being and thus acknowledge the power of God. My prayer for us today is that we be moved from within to acknowledge and honor the gift of who we are being for ourselves and for others for just a few minutes today. Built within the system of us is the ability to give. Who we are at our core is LOVE.  LOVE is designed to flow in and through us.  This means when we are grounded in our true selves we extend love out to everyone and everything. We do not give time, energy, power, or anything to others or experiences to validate who we are.  We do it because at its most generous level the ability to be in charity is an extension of who we already are. In the same way that we are not the negative experiences that we have, we are also not the positive ones that we have.  Looking for validation outside of ourselves (while pleasing to the mind) does not tell us anything other than what we have created from within.  The eyes through which we see are those inside ourselves.  My prayer for us today is that we recognize that when we are in our true selves, charity comes as an extension of that and does not take anything from us to give.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen

The profound beauty and intelligence of life never ceases to be amazing.  Even more incredible is the way that we each embody this beauty and intelligence at any given moment. The quickest way is to stop and connect with our breath.  In and out.  Give and take. Take on and release.  Flow in and out.  The very thing that brings life to our bodies and our minds mirrors the profound universe that we live in.  All around us and in is this flux.  The funny thing is that it all happens without our being the least bit aware of it.  God made sure that we would continue to experience the beauty and simplicity of the universe we are inhabiting every moment and not have to actively engage,  unless we wanted to.  God wants us to be a part of the flow of life.  God desires for us to experience the circulation of love so much so that our bodies are designed to take in this new life through our breath and without us even thinking about it send it directly to our heart which circulates it through our entire body. There is no mistake that the heart is the organ linked with love.  It is the very mechanism by which life is flowing in and through us.  Just think of how much more profound of an understanding you have of this when you decide to pay attention to it and align your thinking with it.  I curiously found myself experiencing this in a new way several years ago.  As I stepped into an awareness of life and how and who I was being in this life, I noticed that my thinking was often dominated by things other than love.  Without warning I would have thoughts of judgment, limitation and separation.  It was a wake up call that explains why I was so bent on self-destruction.  Based on some experiences in my past I had constructed a way to block myself off from being hurt.  Unfortunately, this caused me to block myself off from love and life as well.  As I decided with God’s help that I wanted to change this, it became clear that I needed to learn how to breathe and let go.  I had been so used to being in a state of constriction that it was difficult at first and I had little patience for myself.  Thank God I came into contact with others who were actively working on the same thing,who had transformed their lives, and could show me a way.  On a basic level today this looks like me being aware of those thoughts and ideas of limitation, judgment, and separation and asking God to bring in love.  The ideas don’t disappear but I allow them to flow through me and align myself with the opposite of them by asking God to bring into my true sense of being.  When someone walks into a room and I hear the voice in my head make a judgment about them, I stop and look at them and repeat the word love over and over until I feel the shift in my breath and in my being.  I think I had hoped the thoughts would go away and maybe someday they will, but for now they remind me that I still need God and am not alone. This in the end is the essence of being of life-to know that I am connected to the Source of ALL LOVE.  My prayer for us today is that we notice those things or ideas that block us from the flow of life and use them as opportunities to reconnect to the FLUX of LOVE that God has placed and is already at work in our system.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen

The subtlety of the exchange of energy is profound.  When we are able to still ourselves, we begin to notice the little intricacies of design that exist in our universe.  All is energy and the exchange of energy. It materializes in physical, emotional, spiritual, thought, etc.  This energy is present in all things.  Even in the supposed stationary or non-living things.  The question I am always pondering is: where is it that God is not?  Is there such a place or time or experience or thing?  I have not yet encountered it. There are plenty of places that I do not seek God, that I do not want to experience God or that my thinking can’t imagine God playing a part.  However, being that God created all things and energy cannot be destroyed, I do not think it is possible for the life-giving source to somehow disappear.  Just because I cannot or will not see or experience God does not mean that God is not present.  I am reminded of this in the gesture of a wink.  It is so subtle and yet so profound.  When we receive one from another person or give one out it is like a little gesture of love and acknowledgment.  I imagine that God is winking at me all the time–in the beautiful sunset, the parking spot in the shopping center, the phone call from or to a friend, the sound of someone’s laugh, the reminder in my head to breathe when I am stressed, the tug at my heart when I see someone share from theirs, and so many other ways.  My prayer for us today is that we are able to get still enough to notice the winks from God and have the courage to wink back.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen

Here we are on the eve of all the Holies=Halloween.  What is beautiful about this experience besides the obvious fun andwhackiness that ensues, is the simplicity of permission to acknowledge more than what is seen. So much of our reality is always focused on the practical things that we can see and touch and here we have a whole holiday dedicated to the idea that there exists among us a spiritual realm.  It does exist but often we are discouraged from acknowledging it.  Some mightpoo poo this holiday because they think it focuses on the darkness of spirits but I think it is no more different from how we might focus on the darkness of our human nature.  Equally among us are those who are seizing upon this holiday to acknowledge the presence of God and the great spirit that exists within us and around us.  My prayer for us today is that we allow ourselves to dwell on the idea of God in the same way that God dwells on the idea of his loved ones-us.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen

One of the miraculous things about eternity (the reality of God) is that it is not bound by space or time.  With God all things are possible and there is no wait time because there is no time.  It all exists.  We humans are bound, at least in our minds, by space and time.  It is hard to imagine not waiting for something or looking forward to something, but to acknowledge that all that is IS.  This is why we link with God, this is why rely upon Infinite Intelligence to see beyond what our human experience can allow us to see.  This is what allows us to practice the virtue of patience because we are connected to the Source of All That Is.  My prayer for us today is that when we find that we need to practice patience in the smallest of ways it is a reminder to us to invite God in to help us see that whatever it is that we are waiting for is already with us (God).  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen

How we live our lives conveys a message.  The actions we take and lives we create for ourselves says more than all the words in the world.  We demonstrate what we believe and what we think by how we conduct ourselves in any given moment.  It is not about what we are telling others however, it is about what message we are demonstrating to ourselves.  At the end of the day we are the ones who live most intimately with ourselves.  It is not about what others think of us. (Besides we don’t know what others are actually thinking, it is just a projection of our own thinking.)  It is about what we think about us and how God thinks of us.  God always thinks well of us because God sees us as nothing less than our best selves.  Even when we choose to demonstrate something other than the love that we are, God does not think we are less than. God simply re-invites us to demonstrate love at the next turn, the next decision, the next action.  My prayer for us today is that we be willing to believe in the vision of God of us living a life that demonstrates the power of LOVE at every turn.  Make it a great one!  Peace~Colleen

With all that is coming at us at a given moment it can sometimes be hard to distinguish what to pay attention to.  So gratefully we have built-in sensors called feelings that call our attention to things that grasp our attention.  The feelings give us an indication of how much energy we have placed on a thought or idea about a situation.  They are not right or wrong, but an indication.  Before we do anything else it is helpful to acknowledge the feeling, see it for its value and then determine if continuing with that feeling is something that works for us or not.  My prayer for us today is that we utilize the gift of energy in motion (=emotion) to notice what we are latching on to by acknowledging it.  Make it a great one!
