Sharing my experiences and understandings of the Great I AM.

Be Of Fundamentals!

God is essential.  As we embrace our relationship with God and grow in love we begin to understand the fundamental nature of love.  We live and breathe the essence of love with every moment.  We can not go very long in our lives being disconnected from love.  It is why when we lack a sense of connection to All That Is we begin to break down.  When we convince ourselves that we are not worth the time or wonder if we are loved or are lovable, our life seems to lose a sense of purpose.  Our fundamental life force is in our connection to love. It is what created every itty bitty part of us.  It is what drives the flow of our blood and moves our breath.  Thinking we are separate from this fundamental nature causes us to lose hope in life.  God sees us as fundamental and could never see us as anything less than the creation of love.
My prayer for us is the willingness to adopt God’s ideas of fundamentals in life if we find ourselves lost to the unfulfilled ones we have created.
If God has laid the groundwork for our creation in designing us out of love, how can God assist you in aligning with your fundamental nature today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Union!

God is connected.  We are an extension of God’s love and are eternally united with God.  Nothing we can do can escape it.  I am grateful to know that my longing to be in union with God comes from a place inside of me that is already connected.  I do not have to try hard or make it happen.  I need to get still and allow it to occur.  My daily meditation dates have given strength to the union because it is dedicated time for us.  It is a time when things slow down and I connect with my breath.  A time when I set aside everything else and give myself over to the remembrance of my being a part of something greater than me.  Sometimes it leaves me feeling whole.  Other times it gives me the patience I need with myself and others.  It even builds up the capacity of my heart because I am in union with the one who designed my heart.  The practicality of it is witnessed in the extension of my ability to pause and see the connection I have with others throughout my day because I am able to see them through the eyes of my heart.
My prayer for us is the courage to spend time in union with our loving Creator and remember the love of which we are always in union with whether we are aware of it or not.
If God is united with us at all times and does not see us as separate, how can you be encouraged to walk with strength in the union of love as an extension of your being today?  Share in the comments.

Be of Shaping!

God forms.  Creating a relationship with God gives the opportunity to form our relationship with love.  God ebbs and flows and is present to us in so many forms that we can shape our relationship with God by being able to move with the flow.  Expecting God to always show up a certain way is limiting and God is not limited.  When I open myself up to not hindering the shape of God, I am able to be present to God in whatever form God shows up in the moment.  It makes faith an adventure! My relationship with God cultivated in our daily meditation date time allows me to grow and change when I remember that my understanding of God will grow and change too.  It gives me the freedom to not be stuck but continue to grow in love. I am free to embrace the changing face of love and love’s embrace with each new moment.
My prayer for us is the courage to embrace the shaping of love in our lives by not limiting who we understand God to be for us in the moments of today.
If God is all and is in all, what shape would you like the love of God to form in your life today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Freedom!

God is free.  We are called to freedom in our walk with God.  God wants us to be free to love with our whole being.  We may think we know what freedom is as the world tells it is.  True freedom is in the softness of our hearts.  True freedom is not blocking love from either entering or leaving.  Freedom is being in the flow of the Spirit of Life which takes root in our hearts.  We are free when we love because it is who we are not because we are doing what we think we should be doing.  Freedom is loving without expectation of anything in return.  Freedom is chosing love. Freedom is knowing that whatever we experience does not change who we are at our core.
My prayer for us is the courage to live and love freely knowing that it comes from God through us today.
If God knows our true freedom is available in our hearts, how can God encourage you to spend time connecting with your heart and feeling free today? Share in the comments.

Be Of Uprightness!

God is honorable.  The universe was created and is maintained by a series of laws stemming from love. It is the most powerful presence in all of existence. The expression love makes the world go ’round may sound trite or cliché’ but it is true.  Without the power and force of love we would not be standing upright. Our connection to this divine force is what allows us to be in alignment with the greatest experience of living. In the eastern tradition they teach about the chakras which are forces of energy that go from the base of our spine to above our heads.  It is an energetic measurement of the levels of energy we have within us that we exchange with others and the world. When we are upright, true to ourselves, there is a flow energetically, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.  Our uprightness allows us to be in alignment with a connection that comes through us and out of us. Honoring who we are on all levels is important.  We are here to be expressions of God in the story of our lives.  Our story is not meant to be something that causes us to hunch over in shame or despair. When we choose to embrace our story with our hearts we are able to stand upright.  Standing upright as a representation of the goodness of God is our highest calling.
My prayer for us is the courage to trust our ability to stand upright no matter our stories and circumstances because those are only the vehicles through which we can be the expressions of love that we truly are.
If God knows that you are a representation of love, how can God encourage you to see yourself as an upright demonstration of love when the circumstances and stories of your life make you want to hunch over protecting your heart today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Genuineness!

God is authentic.  Our expression of being extends from the true nature of God.  We are love.  We can be grateful that no matter what happens in our lives we will never not be what God created us.  The idea that something outside of us could permanently alter the very nature of our being that has been with us before we were even a concept in the mind of the world is insane. We can choose to ignore our true selves or pile all kinds of stories on top of it, but we cannot erase it.  It is our genuine nature to be an expression of love.  When we notice how nature seems to enfold with simplicity, we can recognize that perhaps allowing the genuine expression of ourselves does not need to be as complicated as we like to think it is.

My prayer for us is the willingness to allow our genuine nature to have a space of expression and not get clouded over by our thinking of how it should be.
If God recognizes and trusts the authentic nature of our hearts at all times, how can God open you to being your genuine self today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Consideration!

God is willing.  The beauty of a relationship with God is the opportunities to learn ways of being that bring peace.  It is in reconnecting with God that I am open to remember who I am.  It is in the communication with God that I am free to consider all kinds of things that might seem contrary to the original inclination of my mind.  God always makes room.  God does not chase away the ideas of my ego.  God invites me to investigate them and consider their value against the priorities of my heart and soul.  Will holding on to this idea help me to grow in love?  Will practicing this belief allow me to be open to seeing the God in others today?  Does being this particular way send a wave of love from my heart or something else?  All things to consider.  It is in this mature relationship where I am invited to take ownership of my way of thinking and being and consider if it contributes to my overall mission of being a messenger of love.
My prayer for us is the courage to take God up on the invitation to consider the thoughts and ways of being we practice as in alignment with who we are today.
If God is open to looking at all parts of us, how can God encourage you to consider an idea you have that you are not sure is working for you today?  Share in the comments.

Be of Assertion!

God elevates.  In God we know our worth.  In God’s eyes our worth never comes into question.  It is a given that we were created out of love for love and are at our best when we are in full knowledge of this reality.  Living fully means asserting this truth in everything we do. It is not about being prideful.  It is humbly asserting our place in this world and accepting the place of others.  I used to think that being assertive was aggressive.  I was so steeped in the misconception that self-deprecation was humility and had no idea there was a balance between pride and pride in reverse.  Assertiveness I learned through practice is knowing who you are and standing in the knowledge of it.  It is holding my head high knowing I am a child of God and so is everyone else.
My prayer for us is the courage to claim the assertive reality of who we are and walk in the light of love that created us.
If God celebrates who we are and wants us to rejoice in it, how can God encourage you to be assertive and claim the truth of who you are today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Littleness!

God is in the minutia.  When embracing the wholeness of God we tend to think in grandeur.  Wholeness is everything.  God’s love is the singular thread that joins all things big and small.  There is no small gesture of love.  There is no expression of our fullness of being that is not enough.  The gem in grasping this understanding is it begins to chip away at the notion that we are not enough.  If you can find even one small thing in your day where you connected with love it is enough.  If there was one moment when you reached for the hand of God it is enough.  God is aware of the fullness of love that is you.  God never sees anything less than your fullness.  For us it is embracing the little evidences of love that we have forgotten are there.  Just one little recognition gets us back on track.
My prayer for us is the courage to embrace the little remembrances of the presence of love in our lives today.
If God knows of our whole capacity for love at all times and in all places, how can God spark the remembrance of love in a little way for you today?  Share in the comments.

Be Of Amnesty!

God is mercy.  One recurring element of my relationship with God is in reminder of the extent of God’s compassion.  It is not a surprise the compassion perspective of God but the depth and breadth of it.  It far surpasses anything that I think is possible.  It is where I have experienced the most grace.  It is where I am clear, in case I was not before, that God is greater than I.  I have found places and spaces in my heart where an attitude of mercy exists.   From it I find myself extending my heart in ways that I did not even know I could. It is God doing for me what I could not do for myself.  Especially in those moments when I am worn down and feeling beaten up by life, amnesty emerges from a seemingly empty place.  I can only conclude that it is because I have opened my heart just enough that God is able to move through it.  The benefit is not just for the other person but because it comes through my heart, I am open to experiencing it through all of me.  The grace of walking free from old childhood wounds, the lightness of a new perspective on a person I thought for certain I would still be angry with, and the laughter that emerges when I recognize that I am taking myself too seriously.  The freedom of amnesty in no longer carrying around elements of the past, even if they are well-worn defenses of character I was sure I could never let go of, is astounding. The key seems to be the willingness to let it go even if I have no idea how it is possible.
My prayer for us is the courage to believe that God is so present in our lives and through us can equip us with the amnesty to be in the present and free of even old ways of being.
If God meets us in the present, then how can God show you the power of love in amnesty by freeing you of the way of being that no longer serves you today?  Share in the comments.
